Ever since I upgraded to JF 1.51, my phone has been very laggy. At first I thought it was because I just did an upgrade, but then I did a wipe and started from scratch. The phone can be very laggy at times. It can take a minute to bootup, which it use to bootup in 10-20 seconds.
What the "fastest" ROM that I can try out that has root?
Haykuro's Ion. Without a doubt.

Do you have a link to a thread with the Haykuro's Ion info?
Also, I am using Apps 2 SD, Lucids script in the market. I have a 1GB ext2 partition on a Class 6 card. I wonder if that could be causing a problem for me, any ideas?

Do you have anything better to do than post lmgtfy links in random threads? I was asking GenericNode, specifically the xda thread regarding that ROM.

With all due respect, you really SHOULD use the search button before posting. Or else youre wide open to gettin flamed...

ion r1 with updated radio and spl with the overclock widget. my lag is almost non existent
and monkey, he did end up helping you do the search. it would have brought you back to this forum.
Some people ask for help and when help is given they are ungrateful. By the way monkey, you have a lot of posts, why would you not have searched?
i'm happy with Cyanogen's 3.4
i think it's really fast and stable.
and a lot of other people seem to think so as well.
but it all depends on what you consider to be the "fastest"
link to it is in my sig.

I'm on R2. I know a lot of people claim R1 is faster, etc, But I don't see the difference. Was there ever a changelog from R1 > R2? I don't believe there was...

Hello!
Currently I am using JM9+ Raspdeep OC/UV kernel with Voodoo b4 support and I believe this is the max option for Eclair.
Would you be kind to suggest me the best possible option for step ahead to Froyo? Which ROM, Custom Rom and Kernel are best in work together?
Which LagFix, and Kernel are best for Froyo?
JPO+SO_zImage_opt_ext_root_JPM-JP6_V3_6??maybe
pointless
IMHO, useless thread ... every Rom as its advantages and disadvantages. It's really up to personal taste to choose the best one.
Sorry the comment, I know its a open forum and people have the right to express them selfs yada yada yada... but can't help stop noticing the amount of garbage hanging around this forum, making it difficult to find useful stuff .
And - off record, but on topic anyway - people, learn how to search pleeaaasseee... It's really annoying read threads with 1001 questions about the same subject, which results on 2002 posts if someone cares to help. You are only making it more hard to find yourself the answers!!
I agree with lunasea... Pure personal taste... Some ROMs have the GPS issues partially fixed, others are more stable, others have stuff which we don't use or need. Depends from person to person...
As far as lag fixes are concerned, that too depends on user. Almost all lag-fixes are amazing and the xda-devs have done a brilliant job in all of them, so it is really unfair to say even one of them is bad... they are all good. It depends on perception and the feel of the phone in your hands. Enjoy ur phone!!!
your mum is the best custom rom i mean have a go at DOC'S ROM.
Just IMHO,
If you want barebones + modular get Doc's v7.5 ROM.

True.. But only for some months. I have to say, came from winmo htc forum and although there were many duplicated posts, I find this forum much worse. Using doc's rom and find myself many times trying to catch up the thread reading countless times the same thing over and over again...

Not trying to be rude, as I stated theres no such thing as best rom. As overwhelming it might seem, there's no other option than try it yourself.
Nevertheless I can give you this hint: most active threads usually means more users, meaning more testing and more stable and support from rom cooker [EDIT... lmao].
So start trying roms that are on 1st and 2nd page of the forum.

Hey erasmux , is the development for floyo dead??? I'm really waiting for it's update..
I installed cm6's nightly builds, but I don't wanna get away from floyo!!
so, guys.. plz!!
EDIT: hmm, read it too fast and in the wrong mood, hence my initial inappropriate response.
More to the point:
I have relatively little time to spare these days for android development. I currently plan to come back to the Floyo development at one point or another but it will probably take some time.....
In the mean time, if you want a more up to date version of CM, and do not like the nighties, why don't you try pulser's FroydVillain 1.6?

same here. I think the OP would have been better off asking within the floyo thread first, and if it failed to be responded to there by erasmux I think a PM would have been polite.
Can't blame erasmux for reacting emotionally to this. I also would have in his position.

Floyo 1.1.9 is be very very close to the CM RC1 release. So really any other CM6-based ROM, like the nighties or the Froyd 1.6 - which are more up to date, shouldn't fall short of it. If you install a CM nightly build, you can grab app2sd for it from my Floyo page - at the end of the "obsolete updates".
Nope, I've tried CM6, Froyo and FroydVillain and it's not Floyo. I'm addicted of flashing too and I've been using always sense rom's and can't get to use any "normal" roms but when I flashed Floyo I've suddenly stoped to looking for any other even sense roms and other CM6 based rom's look's stupid in compare with this one. Of course it's only my subiective opinion.
Thank you for that great rom and I hope to see next version soon
now I'm compare 2 rom : 7 nightly thread and elilinux 7, don't know which is better, less bug than other.
anyone've used one of them please give me a review .
I know theres plenty of threads about this issue but they're so long of a read it would take forever for me to go through them.
I've been using hyperdroid with vbn rom. Its been great and reliable but it still has its quirts. What i like about the build is that the battery will last me close to a full day of use and it don't randomly reboot on me. But its just too outdated and am wondering if there is something else that is better out there.
I've tried jms builds but the battery does not last but a few hours for me.
My question is, what are you using and how does it compare with hyperdroid? AS in battery wise and random boots. Thanks
Dude, there was absolutely no need for this topic, There is plenty of threads to read on subject and it would take you 10 mins tops to get a good idea of the next build and/or kernel to use.
Please stop been lazy and creating clone topics.

Im not been a "smartass" im stating a fact that you should have been aware of by using simple common sense.
At least take 5 mins to look at a forum before you post on it.
ALSO if you want to ask questions there is a Q&A forum so you fail on all points.
If you want help ask in right places and only if the information or question isnt readily available already.

The one in my signature is a great Sense 2.1+3.0 Rom. Ill also be trying the eclipse rom next.
My advice is not not ask questions like this and it gets on everybody's nerves, including my own. What is stable for us may not be stable for you so these "stable" or "best" rom topics are a waste of time and just clog up the forum.
Go and try some, read some and see what you like best of works best for you.

Now when you hover over it it still shows real link but most people would simply click the link if it looks like a site internal link
What's currently the most bug-free & stable windows phone 7 or mango rom out there?
i would say YukiXDA rom is...i have been using it without any prob
YukiXDA V5 is the best...
Yuki V5, Xbmod 1.11, HD20 1.14(need only replace soft radio to 5.51 - part00.bin). are the best.
All "Green" mangos presently very crappy.

+1 for YukiXDA V5.................. and in waiting for stable mango!
YukiXDA is only NODO update at the moment... will wait for Mango release
In terms of Mango beta 1 - i can only speak for myself but it is very stable for me - and quite fast - yes it has a few bugs (mentioned in other topics)
but wont prevent me from daily usage! (i switched from android to wp7 this week and im enjoying very long battery life on my device with only the standard battery)
which beta mango are u using then?
I use the beta from elfinazz with marketplace working
I totally agree!

Sorry but I agree, This thread shouldn't be in this section and tbh it shouldn't even exist anyway. These "best" rom threads are useless.
i'm familiar with android builds for the HD2, but my friend wants windows 7 on his HD2, so i myself found this thread useful. XDA is a huge place to browse around, so this gave me some good places to look first.
he also did specify which ones were the most stable and bug free, which is more factual than which one is 'best'

Yeah your right there is nothing wrong with their existence but only if they haven't been created before. These "best" rom threads are simply ridiculous, there is no "best" rom, its all subjective and just leads to a million useless replies that have been discussed before in a million other topics.
Its much more productive to go and try some roms and then leave feedback, Then people can read and make their own minds up.
