Hi,
To be more exact, I am looking for the xBackup tool,
and not the Operating system ROM version.
That is to backup the all data, contact info, appointments, and the applications that I installed.
I saw the flushing tools, but that is not the ones I am not looking to the OP backup tools - thanks.
Thanks,
ryhaddi
I think that he ment to backup data and settings, not ROM. If this is the case use Sunnysoft Backup Manager, works well with K-jam.
how to backup the content of the MDA
Hi, sorry, that what I meant. Is there a freeware to back the content of the MDA ? not the ROM ?
Thanks, ryhaddi
There is no freeware.
The only software that can backup WM 5.0 PocketPCs is Sunnysoft Backup Manager

I have tested it and restored the self extracting backup after hard reset and works fine. But something like xBackup will be more useful for some of us we want to backup only contacts for example.
S-K Tools works well, I tested it.
Do u have a link for S-K Tools? TIA

Current release 2.3.16 and complete backup: "Sorry, for Windows Mobile 2005 this option temporary disabled!" :?
...still can't believe MS sells WM2005 without integrated backup. What are the omitting next - the start menu, the pen driver??
Yes, I am sorry, current version is not working yet.
If You want I can give a try WM5 testing version.
You have to email to S-K support and ask for
WM5 version to test. I get it to test this way...
Backup for WM5 devices
i tried sunnysoft Backupmanager 3 http://www.sunnysoft.cz/en_clanek.php?clanekid=51 works on WM5 devices too...
I really can't believe that xbackup isn't an included software anymore. That pisses me off to no end. I have to pay to be able to keep my files when microsoft's buggy OS craps out on me? I get hard resets all the time and it cripples me. This is completely unacceptable.
Windows has yet to make windows mobile phones compatible with windows sideshow as promised and I'm sure many people know this already. A company called Ikanos Consulting has made a produced called Go Gadgets and I had been looking everywhere to find the beta download, and when I finally found it on their own site after looking for ever and searching everything I find out the file is password protected.

whats the password of the Zip file?

Hi.
I am looking for some application like "PIM Backup", which is not compatible with Windows Mobile Standard.
Do you know some application like this?
I need to backup and restore my PIM data.
Thank you very much!
Bye.
Hi, I'm using PIM Backup 2.8 on my Snap, it's not really not compatible, just the screen is not meant for 320x240 but it's still can be used

Do you know where I can find the SP version?
You can ask fred here. http://www.dotfred.net/
Fred told me there is no PIM Backup application for Smartphones. He developed only the PPC version. But probably the PPC version is working on some Smartphones.
I use SPB backup, work fine as a PIM backup and/or a full smartphone backup.

However, Dutty's ROM on my old Hermes 200 running Windows Mobile 6 has PIM and it does work well. So well I wish I could get it up and running on my new HTC Maple.
