Hi,
I've searched Google and the forums, and can't find a solution to this...
I need to make audio notes regularly with Resco Audio Recorder. So I usually make a note, minimize the app, and bring it up again to record a new note.
The problem occurs when someone calls- they can't hear me. It must be that the mic is being used by Resco AR, so can't be used for the call...?
If I receive a call, and shut down Resco AR during the call, the other person still can't hear me, until a few secs or so later... sometimes 30secs
Any ideas for a way around this if possible?
Cheers
p.s. If I turn on the 'record all phone calls' option, the other person can hear me. This is pretty useless though for two reasons:
1. the app doesn't record their voice! (It's faint, but that's what the mic picks up from the speaker)
2. I don't want to fill up my storage with random phone calls!
I have the exact same pb!
I did not havethe time to find another replacement so maybe it's time?? ;-)
No offence but isn't it a better idea to post this question in the resco support forums?
none taken killer
i've posted on resco today too, but was on here at the time so posted it here. plus; from looking on the resco forums no-one seems to have this problem, so it's probably xperia specific.
i think either resco AR needs to release the mic when a call comes, or the xperia needs to takes over the mic (gives phonecall the priority).
but how to do this? if at all possible.....?

Has anyone figured out how to record phone calls on the XDA2??
I have tried just about every recording app out there and the only way I have been able to do this is using the phone on speaker and recording in notes or sound recorder.
From my experience no need to use the speakerphone.
Just using the phone on your ear will record both yourself as the other side (maybe my volume is higher than yours :? )
Pity though one cant use this when using a headset or carkit . . .
Thanks, it works.... I didnt think that it would. I would like to get an app to automatically record phone calls, any ideas??
Don't know what is wrong with mine, but when I press the record button during a normal conversation, my voice is recorded and the voice of the other person is very soft very soft... Hard to hear.
What could I do about that?
It happens to me exactly the same as j_met.
I can hear only my voice...
@ edsub
Can you hear both sides equally loud and clear?
Thank you
I hear the other side just a bit softer than myself.
Good enough in a quiet environment.
My in-call volume is set half-way.
Same for me and very annoying. I think this dumb device only records what you say to the microphone. If you can [barely] hear the other person, it's only because your volume is so high that the microphone picks it up..
why in the world would you need to record only what YOU say?? I think it must have took at least 3 engineers to build it this way.

BTW, I have W2003SE 2.02 ENG installed and still no improvement

Ever heard of memo-recorders??
Recording a phone call is a nice extra (its posibility is nowhere stated/promised). Pity it doesnt work with all devices.
Hmm it seems to work well with mine in all places except very loud environments. In some instances it would not have been possible for it to have picked up the other end through the speaker (too much noise) but it still records them... not sure how it works!

Hey,
I am under the impression the i-Mate JAM/XDA Mini etc have speakerphone ability (to listen to a call on loudspeaker). However I cant find how to do this.
It certainly should be possible, as when I play music its very loud. Ok, the quality may not be great on loudspeaker, but good enough for a phone call.
Regards,
Jez.
If it's the same as all the other devices, hold down the green answer button during a call and hey presto- speakerphone!
HTH
Fin
Yeah,
just hold the green button for a while ,but I must say it's pretty useless.....
:?
I can hardly hear the other party in speaker phone mode. Moreover, I think that it is a design flaw to put the speaker on the back of the device.
I am looking for a application that can activate speakerphone. without using the green-button.
Is there any such?
Did you ever find a solution to this, (to set the speakerphone through a API) ?
funny
so funny, ive been using my phone (XDA II) for almost a month now, but try to use the speaker phone just today. after i read this thread. heheheh
tnx guys... this means alot to me.. lol^^
Does anyone know of any app for phone conversation recording wher you can record the other person without turning on speakerphone?
I have a mini and always record phone calls for taking down job address for work, I can hear the whole conversation very clear when played back.
I just use the normal "Notes Record Function" on the phone.
I think it depends on the rom or could be the different phones as I know when I had an XDA II I couldn't do it, if I pressed record I could only hear myself and not the person on the phone.
that's it
Thanks seal for your reply, but in fact if I do as you say I can only hear my voice and ver, very low the other person's. I tried other software but with the same result. I don't know if there is a software specific for it.

Resco Audio Recorder works
doesn't work
Thank you for the suggestion but it doesn't work as I need. Again, I can only record my own voice not whom I am hearing. I don't know if it is a hardware problem. Let me know hwat you guys know about it.
You have to turn the speaker on, first.
then try using the recorder... you dont have any other choice.
you may wonder why is that??
It's because the device has two processors.. one of them in the Xscale.. and is used to run everything but the stuff regarding the phone...
there is another chip used as a mini processor for running the phone stuff...
I guess there is no inner circuit between both processors... so recording directly is impossible....
cheers
thanks
Despite the bad news thanks anyway.
use vito sound explorer
Hi guys
I use Vito Sound Explorer. It works fine for me. Except when I need to record conversion. while on the line. I had to press one of the buttons which I have mapped. so that recording starts. the sound quality is good.
I don't find that annoying.. one press of a button.

Does it work even when using a bluetooth headset?
vito sound
does vito sound record the other person's voice, without turning on speakerphone?

I got TyTN and at the same time I got a SE HBH-DS970 bluetooth headset. Ofcourse there is the skipping problem playing music and the extremly anoying all-sounds-transfer-to-headset issue.
But from what I see others have posted there really no good tweak or reg hack to fix that until there is a rom upgrade.
But my other issue I have is an other thing. I have played around a bit with MS Voice Commander, and I like it alot. I done the regfixes to lock it to the callbutton on the headset and so, but here is where I get my problem.
Pressing the callbutton on the headset works, it launch Voice Commander, but for some reason the sound is rather bad, I hear some noise in the background, kinda just it have picked up the phone or started to use some "amplified" microphone (can't find a better way to describe it, but for some reason the headsets microphone seems to be amplifed).
It also take about 1-3 sec before I see Voice Commanders microphone in the topbar on the screen.
It is very anoying since it more or less make voicecommander useless, the "amplified" microphone (or what is is that generate the noise) is alot more sensitive and if it isn't totaly silent around you it simply wont understand me.
This "noise" only happens if I use the Callbutton on the headset and not if I use the button on the phone itself, if I press the button directly on the phone and launch the program like that it works perfect, no noise, program launch in a sec and you hear Voice Commanders beep in the headset and it work perfect.
I just wonder if anyone else have a similare problem like me and if anyone know a fix/tweak or something.

Where might I find those reg fixes?
My Motorola S9 headset phone button doesn't launch M$ Voice Command.
Did you use the instructions in the massively long thread regarding MS VC 1.6 and BT?
As for the delay, those instructions do tend to induce a delay, but as for a hyper sensitive mic, not sure. I do know that using the handset for VC is WAY more sensitive to noise than my Jawbone.
Hi All
Well this is another GPS App and my first so as people say "please be gentle".
I wrote this for my wife and me for when we are running or cycling.
The idea behind it was to know how fast, far, average speed and time travelled while listening to music without have to look at your phone. It basically says the info you want, the voice is a basic computer voice. It will also say any sms that come in while in use but it can only say words and numbers not any text speak but which I might be able to add later.
My biggest problem is because the voice isn’t particularly loud of clear I need to be able to pause the HTC music software while it’s speaking. If anyone knows how to do that please help I was hoping the pause button on the wired headphones might have a virtual key number but I haven't found it yet.
If I can get the above problem solved am hoping to add a lot of useful info to the display and to the spoken info such as a buddy runner based on a previous run or target settings.
In the setting menu the only item that’s functional at the mo is the repeat voice setting. As you may see the whole program is at a very early stage at the mo so again please be gentle.

Sir if you can find a way to pause or mute music with hardware button on wired earphones, You will make me really up...
