Hi Crisytaiser! Welcome to the Forum.
It can be done but it doesn't work especially well. This is due to the Cruise not coming with any 3d video drivers - although some smart members of this forum developed some, however they cause problems with the way the Cruise's backlight works.

It's in the Kaiser forum, but is relevant to the Cruise as well.
I don't know whether the stock HTC ROM supports the 3d drivers (which can be found here: http://www.htcclassaction.org/driverprogress.php#update_20081009_1 ).
You can get it working and it does look pretty sweet, but it isn't reliable enough (IMHO) for everyday use.
You can get TF2D (called Manilla 2d) that works really well on the Cruise. Read about it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=398173
This works pretty much like TF3D but doesn't have much animation.
Before you do anything though, make sure you have a good read of the stuff in the wiki - it ain't that hard to turn your expensive device into a paperweight if you're not sure what you are doing! Good luck.

I think this will trully be my dream phone. I have an xperia atm, but I believe the Touch HD pro, will really be the best phone if it ever gets released. Anyone know of a release date for this, so that I can know when to sell my xperia?

That is the touch pro2 I'm talking about the Touch HD pro, which is code named Rhodium on HTC's device roadmap which was leaked.
I know it isn't really reliable...but it will probably be released somewhere in Q3 from this year. does anybody know what the difference is between the Rhodium and the tungsten ? (exept the color )

Rhodium is a codename. Like Blackstone is the codename for Touch HD. Its 80% sure that Rhodium is Touch Pro 2 True Rhodium doesnt have the same back speaker as Touch Pro 2 but those are just mock ups. (look at Citrine/Topaz... They are Diamond 2)

I live in Italy and a little ago one of the greatest Italian telephone company called "TIM" was selling the HTC TOUCH FIND branded TIM that was almost equal (in terms of hardware) to the HTC TOUCH CRUISE (POLARIS or P3650).
A simple question:
Is this "IOLITE" the same phone of the TOUCH FIND?
I mean it looks identical from the pictures...and if so... the good news for you having the Iolite is that
...I used SPL OLIPRO v2.0 to unlock it and the 3LIT3 Rom to upgrade it and they worked very well without any problem!!

Nope, it's just a Polaris with rounded edges. Qualcomm MSM7200 with 400MHz CPU vs Iolite's 528MHz MSM7225, RAM/ROM 128/256MB vs Iolite's 256/512. Buttons on sides, front camera - definetely a Polaris.
Sweat styling though, we've inherited it's concept I guess.
I am new to all this and was referred here by a collegue. I am considering purchasing a Diamond2 over a HD due to the updated Touch Flo 3D, however, I'd much prefer a HD if the updated Touch Flo 3D is available to be flashed. I did a search but couldnt seem to find anything.
Is this possible to flash/load the newer version of Touch Flo onto a HD?

A lot of the latest cooked roms already have the updated TF3D in them. Just check latest WM6.5 roms and some of the WM6.1 ones

How can I update only the TF3D without installing a cooked ROM?
is there any rom with htc sense on it?
i mean something good like the rom that the htc hd2 have....

"Sense" is only the new name of former "manila 3D". On pcarvalho-ROM manila 2D is included. Nearly the same without 3D-effects.

Sense is the new UI made by htc used in most recent android devices...
I dont think its possible to cook it but ther´s a way to use it in our Polaris...search the forum

I just learned some guy decided to call touch flo 2.6 wich is part of HTC Sense™ development....sense UI.Different things.

Guys, I have seen that the HTC HD2 rom has been installed on the HTC Touch HD.
Why not on the HTC Polaris then?

as the hd/hd2 are wvga(800x480) we have qvga(320x240) therefore it will need to have all of the graphics resized. Then there is the 3d issue which with some searching you will find out. Then there is the memory issue hd has twice ram/rom hd2 has ~3x both. so that is why it wont work.
