How i can export contacts from MAGIC to .csv?
In my case, is not valid from Google by a sincroniced error

Can anyone tell me how to export phonebook ?
Because I want to import the phonebook to the NOKIA phone, thanks to help !!!
Using:
HTC P3600i
if both sync with outlook it will be the same on both
otherwise guess stating what format the nokia software use for contacts
would be good to know
a google would prob also give a quick result
this is a newbie question.. how can i insert all my contacts from mu htc diamond to htc magic?
Save the contacts from your Diamond on the SIM card and tell the Magic to import contacts from it.
they are over 350... sim doesn't fit so much..
Maybe you can sync them to your computer? HTC Sync? I guess it is available for the Diamond.

2. Open Gmail Account
3. Import Contacts
4. Sync Phone With Gmail (Google Account) Import Contacts

I hate to break it to you, but you all failed miserably.
1. Sync with your gmail account your contacts and calendar via activesync (google sync).
2. Sync new Google branded Android phone with your Gmail account.
3. ???
4. Profit.
You guys need to really be aware of everything that is out there.
Any one who can guide me on how to change contact groups (source) from "phone" to "google" after the contact is created?
This has made me with a goddarn shatty contact list!! Even worse, I cannot sync more than a few contacts since about 95% of em got "phone" and I cannot edit them from google/contacts..

I had exactly same problem with my Magic because I imported my contacts from SIM. This is how I did it.
1) Used HTC Sync app to sync contacts to outlook express
2) Export contacts from outlook express as CSV file
3) Imported into google contacts through web interface on PC (http://www.google.com/contacts)
4) Edit as you need and you will have option change group to My Contacts for each contact
This process is little laborious. You also change the view of contacts in contacts application options.

There's ExportContacts in the Market that will export your contacts as a csv file onto you SD card. Then you can import them into google contacts. That's what I did anyway.
Hi all, whenever I try and sync my contacts to Google I get a force close saying 'Sorry! The process android.process.acore has stopped......Force close.'
Does anyone know whats causing it?
This happened to me when I changed type of contacts from "Phone" (synchronized from Outlook with Htc Sync) to "Gmail" (using ContactSync). Then I was forced to delete all phone contacts, export them from Outlook (CSV), import them to Gmail and then sync with my phone
It looks like contacts from Outlook created by Htc Sync contains some features unsupported by Google Contacts API...
Thanks mate, sorted it.
the default export on Htc Desire Z only exportcs contacts but not groups.
So when importing it's a hassle to create groups again for correct contacts.
Is there an app that does this?
