Changing GPS/loacation settings from with in applications seem to be disabled.
In the past applications like PowerManager, or ToggleSettings could manipulate these settings with out having to switch to the OS settings menu.
My questions are
Is this working as intended?
If not, will it be fixed?
I did a search in the forums, i found nothing..
Thank you for your time.

How do I get to the All Settings? All I can get into is the settings tab on home page and on start page. I cant find All Settings and Today.

Thanks
Settings at home page > Right soft key (menu) >all settings
Oh Thanks. That was simple.
Herez another one..
Is there a stop watch/timer for HD2?
Well, there isn't one by default. But if you give a search for stop watch or timer in the forum, you can find couple of them.
I have tried, but could not find one. I'll try again.
Also, I don't know how I did this, but I changed some setting so that one my alarm sounds it doesn't show up on the screen and I cant snooze or dismiss it until I unlock screen and then click on notifications and then play with it.
I have the BSB tweaks. Do you think I played with something there? I can't figure out how to fix this..
Thanks so much for your help!
I have found a few timers!
Thanks!
I have no clue regarding the alarm issue. I think you might have to trace back what you have done to the phone.
Here's one if you haven't found it yet.
Thanks a lot!
for the alarm try this
settings menu all settings sounds and notifications notifications tab
change drop down to "reminders" and tick "shown on screen"
Thanks.. That oughta do it!
Just installed Moar Rom. Auto factory reset is automatically turned on in the lock screen options page and I am not able to disable it. I've searched the forums and did a lot of searching online but I have not been able to find any solution for this. By any chance does anyone have any advice on how to turn of this feature? Thank you!

I think you're talking about the Power Menu in MOAR settings.

I don't believe there is anything in there related to what I am trying to solve. If you go to Settings > Lock Screen, at the bottom there is a section titled Auto Factory Reset. I would like to turn this off.

Sorry, Yes I misunderstood. Have you checked security settings for Google and Samsung. I would say one of them is the reason it's greyed out.
I found that this setting was being controlled by my Exchange server at work. I had read online that this was something that Verizon had implemented, however it appears that is not the case here.
I use apps that require me to allow accessibility.
I do this, however the settings never stay locked.
I am forced to go through the whole list and activate them!
Am I round something wrong?
My Question:
How can I turn *OFF* one of a user's Global Settings, (such as "Location" or "Bluetooth", or "WiFi", etc)..?
(Back in the earlier days of Android, there were plenty of "Quick Toggle Settings" Widgets out there)..
But these days, you can no longer adjust those settings so easily..
However, I came up with a couple of ideas/thoughts on possibly how to do it, and need some clarification!
( 1 ) - Would obtaining "Phone Administrator" privileges, (similar to the way Launchers like NOVA do to perform certain actions) work?
NOTE: I'm referring to the App's you might find in (Settings > Lock screen and security > Other security settings > Phone administrators).
OR..
( 2 ) - Would becoming a "Device Owner" (like in the "Device Owner" Android Code Sample in Android Studio) be of any help?
I'm at a total loss for ideas at this point, and can't figure out how to do this..
Note that I am actually trying to turn OFF a setting, NOT on.. But I doubt that makes any difference..
If anybody could please provide me with some answers to my questions, I would greatly appreciate it!
Any information whatsoever would greatly help me!
Thanks!
I'm curious, why do you want to turn off the setting instead of requesting user to turn it off?

Because in the way I intend to implement it, the user would have already asked for it to be turned off.. I just dont want them to need to go to an entirely different "System Settings" screen or whatever in order for them to do it.. I just want them to have the option to do it from within part of my App..
But your followup question which I've just quoted and answered, does nothing to help answer MY question unfortunately
Does anybody actually have any answers that could be of assistance to me?
I'm thinking if my App requests access to be added as a Device Administrator (similar to how NOVA launcher does it, for gestures and other things), it could open up my ability to do what i'm trying to do..
Can somebody please verify this, or give me some additional info?
I would greatly appreciate it..
I have a Moto g play 4. One day the system, simply prompted me to enable driving mode. At the time it seemed like a good idea. But now I want to disable it; now I don't get as much as calls as before.
Not sure which app did this. I check with the Moto app, but that app only supports control what happens during gestures.
There are two other Motorola apps. Moto help, and Moto Notifications. But none of these seems to have this specific setting I am looking for. I googled, and, learner of an app called Moto Assist, but I don't have such an app either.
Someone help me disable this.
After about 3 weeks of fiddling with various options in the settings and moto apps, i found it.
Enable Do Not Disturb from swipe down menu (notifications drawer) > More Settings > Rules
Here you can configure a do-not-disturb profile to happen between specified hours of the day. Also you can make it respond to some subset of phone events.
So if your phone has a DND setting while driving chances are that that rule is visible there. Delete it, and you are good to go.
