Hello! I found out that it would be very good idea to have SPB Pocket Plus 2.1 installed automatically after the hard reset - anybody succeded with putting it to the extended rom ??
So far I have extracted from the exe another exe as it was packed, looking like CAB - with files inside but renaming this file as cab and starting at the XDA II does not work - and in this second file there are 54 files with 000 to 052 extensions but how to find proper names for them and which are neccessary to be on the XDAII?

I tried that, with success.
You must put the PocketPlus.arm.cab file (from Programs Files/Microsoft ActiveSync/SPB Pocket Plus/) in the extended rom, then put a line about it in Config.txt file (take the exemple from the others applications links wrote there).
What I do NOT know, is how to save a configuration of Pocket Plus, for the hard reset automatic installation (you have only a default install).
How to backup SPB Pocket Plus settings
That is something I can help you with.....
in the SPB Pocket Plus 2.1
- GO to settings/SPB Pocket Plus
- In the SPB Pocket Plus window at the bottom left there is "Tools" menu
- you have "backup settings" so back up your settings to the card or storage (this is Spb Pocket Plus Settings.plss file)
- after hard reset and reinstallation of SPB Pocketplus restore the settings

Now I am searching how to convert a file into .cab, to put it on the extended rom, with the action of copying itself into a specified destination, at hard reset.
Maybe we could put also that PocketPlus .plss file, to be automatically red.
hi all, i recently seen a nice spb calc diamond skin, and i decide to make my own much more like manilla dialer (white), hope you like it !

as usual install spbcalc wich is in the zip, then copy the 2 gifs to your /windows
EDIT: you must copy the 2 gifs files with file explorer like resco or total commander FROM YOUR DEVICE, don't use activsync!!, when do it properly the system must ask you : are you sure to replace existing files ? then answer yes to all, this way it should work...
EDIT 2: QVGA conversion by vitornog SEE PAGE 3 !!!
EDIT 3: "Ready to use" CAB file by Rondol1 on PAGE 4,thx man !!
EDIT 4: Updated portrait (with smoother fonts) see attached zipped gif, copy it in windows folder...
EDIT 5: FINAL VERSION SEE: SPB CALC MANILA STYLE FINAL.ZIP, I have not included QVGA in this version cos the image quality is not good in QVGA and i don't have a QVGA device...Installation as usual...Waiting for someone to make a "ready to use" CAB

It doesnt work. I get the black skin that comes with the .cab .. but not this skin. I copied the Gif in to Windows folder .. what have i done wrong?
may be try a soft reset (if not already done)
...did the system ask you to replace the old gifs ? if not, you surely unzip in wrong folder or apply path when unzipping, the gifs must be in windows folder not in windows/spbcalc.../
please check, and tell us.

same for me on my diamond, & I've already copied the 2 attachment skin files to window folder, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
I had the black background too, this was when I tried to copy the images via activesync into windows, it did not prompt for overwrite.
I copied the files onto the internally storage, then copied them and pasted them into windows folder on the device using file explorer on the phone, it then prompted if I wanted to overwrite.
It works with the method I just did.

Hi, the cab is working, you just have to install and then copy the two gifs in windows folder but not from activesync, i do this by the file explorer in my diamond and Voila! ça marche...

1 unzip and put it memory
2 disable touch flo
3 then copy it in windows folder via rescoe file explore or total commander

I unzipped the file - it's .theme, not .tsk as the other ones in the Windows folder on the Diamond seem to be?
I then disabled Touch Flo 3D through Settings -> Today, and then copied the theme into the Windows folder on the phone. The Today screen disappears, but even after switching the phone off and on again I don't get the new theme?
Have you re enabled TF3D

to answer both of you .theme files dont work on all phones, it is something to do with the manila version (i think, but then i dnt really care if im wrong as i know a solution lol)
the solution is simple, rename it to .zip, unzip it, then copy all those files to your windows folder.
many themeing products use zip's disguised as other file extensions, for example, if you download some icons from stardock for use with the iconpackager, and you dont have the iconpackager software, download the icons and rename them from ***.ip to ***.zip then extract them as a zip.
remember anything in a package is compressed, the most common form of compression is zip, if that dont work, then rar!

i cant mess with it tho..if it aint in TF3D format, it aint for me.

Still can't get this to work
I really like the looks of this theme but can't get in on my Fuze.
It seems to go through the motions of installing it from TF3D config, but after the final reboot and turning touchflo back on, I get a mostly white theme with a screwy clock.
Not sure what you mean by "rename it to .theme" when it already is.
And your fix of renaming it to .zip and then unzipping just gets me 361 zip error messages and an empty unzip folder.

then you are unzipping it wrong, i have been doing this with .theme files ever since someone decided that it was a good idea to use them..
(its not a good idea BTW because you have to have an old version on manila to run the .theme)
just rename the file to .zip and extract it. it not hard:
1: Download real_black.zip
2: Extract and get real_black.theme
3: Rename real_black.theme -> real_black.zip
4: EXTRACT
(i know this works as i have just done it before typing this last sentence!!)

I read through this thread and followed how to install but it didn't work out for me. I even tried the TF3D config. Can someone help me out a more step by step little new at this stuff. Would really appreciate the help.

I'm looking for a way to restore the windows default icons back to original. I found the start menu icon editor, but thats not exactly what i''m looking for. The problem are the icons i see in file explorer for example, the folder icons looks like crap now (probably installed those icons sometime ago, but i wanna get rid of them )
So is there a way to completely restore ALL windows mobile 6.5 icons back to normal? (prefered incl start menu)

Also voting in for this. I'm about to change my icons, and it'd be good to have the original ones as a backup.

i recommend you to stick on your inside \Windows folder icons.
it's will be better on performance & not wasting your ram space.
quite bigger though if you put a lot of png's, especially those with 16.8colors
I used JWMD Icon Changer for my problem, works really well.
My problem was that I accidently removed the image/icon from three links/icons. I tried what muhrizky said, but no luck.
When JWMD scanned the Windows catalog it just stopped, I have no idea why. But the icons inside \Windows\,
so I searched for them with Total Command and copied them to my newly created folder(My Icons) on my storage card.
Once copied to the same folder I scanned that folder with JWMD and I could easily change back my icons =)

can you give me a step by step way to change my HTC HD2 file explorer icons back to the default. I have tried everything but nothing has worked. I have JWMD but I don't know how to scsan the windows folder.

I am running wm 6.5 on touch diamond 2. Now i downloaded some themes but i dont see how I can install and change it.
Any help will be appreciated.
if there cab files just click staright on and tey'l work if not and there zipped. un-zip and then locate cab or use computer mobile device centre.
open file explorer >>>my documents >>create afolder in aname themes or my themes
put your themes in it and close file explorer and open settings and today and you will find your themes
