When I run morphgear in landscape (I have my screen orientation at East) and play a game not in full screen the right part of the screen is not used, so before i open morphgear i use a rotating screen app to make the screen portrait so when i run a game in fullscreen it does not go weird when i minimize out of full screen. Then i found out about mortscript, therefore i created a script, which when the application runs it automatically rotates the screen at 0 degrees and when i close the app reverts back to landscape on the today scrren, so i dont have to keep pressing my windows key (Rotates screen) to rotate the screen all the time, at first the script worked perfectly, but recently when i play ( i have my settings on fit window and my orientation is east) and it works fine on land scape, but when i go full scrren the orientation changes to north and it stretches upwards making half of the screen unusable, is this a problem with mortscrpit or morphgear?
This is the code I used
RunWait "\Storage Card\Program Files\Games\MorphGear\MorphGear.exe"
Rotate (0)
First of all, using the runwait condition might take a bit more cpu cycles than you'd like. I suggest you monitor morphgear's cpu usage while idle to be sure.
Second of all, It should be in morphgear's settings. To make sure the problem is not in the script, just make a new script with the following functions
1) Rotate screen to 0 degrees
2) Wait 1 second
3) Start morphgear.
4) Run a "RunWait" script to turn back the screen orientation when morphgear exits. That script should not loop.
Alter morphgear's shortcut to link to that script instead. That way, you won't have background load when you don't use morphgear, and you'll still have the same function without mortscript interfering!
Ok thanks for the info will do

Hi all,
I was wondering if it is possible to force tomtom navigator to always open in landscape mode.
I've been using gyrator2, but when i mounted in the car, the screen seems to jump around unsure of which way to orient, most probably due to vibration in the mount (which is another issue i'm going to address).
I've seen the same thing happen with GSen.
Just add TTN to the list of excluded applications and rotate the screen manually where necessary.

1. Install "Mortscript"
2. Run TomTom270 (Edit this file with notepad, change the value from 270 to 90 if you want it to turn other direction landscape)
3. Create a shortcut in Start Menu if you want.
NOTE: Don't forget to DISABLE it from any rotating application if you have added e.g. Gyrator etc.

But where do you need to edit the tomtom file, is it on the desktop or on my mda compact IV? i've installed the cab file, en there are three wordfiles in different languages?? pleasee give me some more direction.
thanks in ahead.

Copy both the file to your device
A. MortScript 4.1
B. Just One of the MSCR file which ever direction & popup or No-Popup suits you.
After the installation of MORTSCRIPT just run "TomTom2.mscr".
You can also make a shortcut under Tf3D Programs tab:
1. Copy a SHORTCUT of the TomTom270.mscr file to (\Windows\Start Menu\Programs)
2. Remove the NORMAL TomTom icon from the "Programs Tab" (Optional)
3. Add "TomTom270" to "Programs Tab"
I have uploaded again:
1. Mortscript 4.1
2. Start TomTom 270-degree with a Rotate question Yes,No,Cancel (It will ask you the question everytime you run this file)
3. Just Start TomTom 270-degree withOUT a Rotate question
4. Start TomTom 90-degree with a Rotate question Yes,No,Cancel (It will ask you the question everytime you run this file)
5. Just Start TomTom 90-degree withOUT a Rotate question

Hi, I have a Touch HD and when I try and run the script it rotates for a second and then rotates back to Portrait view.
You said that you were using gyrator2.
I'm a gyrator2 newbie, but I created a TomTom orientation Event, mark landscape and rotate screen.
I don't know why TomTom don't start at landscape after that, you once you put the phone on landscape once, inside TomTom, it never changes anymore. So it will work for you.
Rodrigo
i prefer changescreen absoluting the best soft for turning apps.....
never had problem...

Same with me, doesn't attempt to load TomTom, just switches Programs screen to landscape for a second or so, then switches back
Thanks guys works great!
...although I had the same issue with my HTC Touch HD, simple fix just edit the tomtom7.mscr file you created and correct the path, which should do the trick!
ie.
Rotate(270)
Runwait( "\Program Files\Navigator\Tomtom Navigator.exe" )
Rotate(0)
Works for HD2!!!
Works for my HD2 as well, you just need to edit tomtom7.mscr and correct the file path, for me it looks like:
Rotate(270)
Runwait( "\Storage Card\Navigator\Tomtom Navigator.exe" )
Rotate(0)
Hey guys,
I just got my HD and have really no clue how to get the gsen to work so i can write sms and emails in landscape. Also I would like a few other applications to be in landscape too.
Can anyone help me??? It would be greatly appreciated.
Can someone please help me? or give me website that gives instructions? I really need help for this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
gsen should by default enable landscape for almost any app (with some exceptions like tf3d and so on). after installed you should run gsen manually and then notice if the screen rotation is working. then if you like etc you can run gsen cfg and set it to autostart via left soft key.

Is it the best software for the HD to use for auto-rotation? Also how do i install it on the phone? thats my main problem. It seems to have come already pre-installed but cant figure out how to work it....
simply download the cab trasfer to phone and tap on it from the phone

Pre-installed?..... GSen doesn't come pre-installed.
Where did you get it from?
He's probably just talking about the original rotator that excludes most everything, aside from the media/internet based programs.
Works??
Hi again.
I installed the prog right now, started and open the settings. Screw the phone -< works fine. close settings, open programs, tur the phone again -> nothing happens. Like in nearly) every other program. Opening the settings again, nothing happens too.
So i turned the GSEN off an on again sometime, settings work but nothing else.
WHAT'S THE PROBLEM???
Thx for reply
Did you read the readme.txt file that came with gsen?
Works fine on my HD
Here is a part of the file:
1. Description
Auto-rotate screen on SOME devices with g-sensor.
Install GSen and run it.
If you run it again, program will ask you "Unload program?".
If you answer yes - program will be unloaded.
This also possible without question with parameter #unload.
You can use configuration shortcut for edit configuration file.
This file can include this command:
#window(text or class name) - add window description
#timeout(value) - default value 1000 ms
#onlyfor(0|1) - if 0 auto rotate work for all programm except defined by #window, otherwise ONLY for this program.
By default program not rotate screen if Manila or Teeter is foreground application, but you can edit this list.
#fdscreenoff(0|1|2) - if 1, program will switch off screen if you put device with screen on bottom, if 2 device will suspend.
#lockscreen(0|1) - if not present = 1, can prevent, if enabled, rotation with locked device
#poweroff180(0|1) - if not present = 0, determine interpretation of rotation to 180, 0 - rotate screen, 1 - power off.
GSen can indicate self state,
you can setup it with this commands:
#show(0|1) - if 1 GSen will show one pixel (by default) indicator on top bar.
#x(X),
#y(Y) coordinates of this indicator, default X=240,Y=1
#clr(R,G,B) - color, default white (255,255,255)
you also can setup width and height (#width(W), #height(H))
Commandline parameters:
#load - load app, if loaded already - exit without questions
#unload - unload app
#toggle - if loaded will unload, otherwise will load, usable with one shortcut
#about - show about window
if you start without parameters - program will ask "Unload?" if already exist one instance, or simple run if not exist.
NOTE: some programs, like Teeter game, cannot start in landscape mode, so switch to standard display orientation before.
Cheers
Yep
... I did.
First time I installed it I changed someting in the configfile as advised. But it doesn't work so in uninstalled and reinstalled it. Then started the prog.
SOMETIMES the picture turnes but not everytime.
I've got a HTC Touch Diamond :-o Shouldn't be the problem i guess...
Okay...
I just changed timeout to 5 and it works just fine on HTC touch HD
Guess it shoudn't be a problem on Diamond.
What is the Contacts program name?
In the GSen Configuration file, I want to be able to tell the program to leave the Contacts screen alone (to not rotate). The only problem I have is that I don't know the actual program name for Contacts, and where is it located?
Thanks,
Peter
Got it ...
I figured it out. When I entered the following command into the GSen configuration file:
#windows(Contacts)
It didn't work because I didn't first save it. Now that I've entered it again, and then saved the file, it works.
Peter
Is there any way to set it to rotate the Today screen? I'm using the default config and all programs rotate apart from Today.

i dont understand any of this talk.. if you go into the gsen edit screen, are those what will not rotate? eg, i would like to see the settings screen rotate, how do i add that? would it be something like #window(settings.exe)
Took a few hours but finally got quake working on my diamond,
Just unzip and drag the "Quake" folder to the ROOT! of your Internal storage
(otherwise it won't work)
DO NOT RENAME anything (otherwise it won't work)
the zip contains everything but game data, you can get the demo game data form here:
http://quake.pocketmatrix.com/pak0.pak.zip
unzip the file twice (i think) until it doesn't look like a rar/zip file anymore and looks like an unknown windows file
drag it into the ID1 folder
and ENJOY!
Quick notes:
best bet is make a shortcut to the quake.exe and put the icon wherever
buttons are a bit of an issue thought i tried to configure it for our phones best i could
Buttons/Issues:
Volume down = Portrait mode (Make Sure your in portrait before you go into the menu.... we don't have an escape key and you literally can't get out unless you can manage to crash the game or soft reset)
in portrait mode the escape key is.... invisible.... but check the attached picture so you know where it is
Volume up & Back key = Landscape mode (this is what you want to be playing in)
End key = Change weapon
Send key = Jump
Home key = Crash Program
Touch Commands
Top-middle/Bottom-middle of the screen - jump
Left of screen - Change weapon
Right of screen - random weapon?
Up Down Left Right are relative to screen position so don't worry about changing them
use stylus or finger to look around and aim.
Have Fun !
Oh and you can delete the "Config backup" folder inside ID1, its no longer needed
1 last thing, currently the circle "enter" button is to shoot, if anyone can figure out how to make it so you can just tap the screen please PM me so i can update the files
will this work with all the quake 1 .pak files???
ya it should, if you have the full quake 1 pak files just place them all into the ID1 folder and load up the game
Thanks averma, works perfectly with the shareware pak0.pak
i tryed several times but it won't load,it says : W_LoadWadFile : couldn't load gfx.wad :|i don't have any ideea what to do
make sure it is in the root of internal storage (and not in my documents or something), make sure you don't rename anything and the demo game data is in the right place. as long as those 3 are correct you shouldn't get the error
Thank you! Works perfectly on my Touch Pro.
2 questions though: how do you jump forward? I only manage to jump or to move forward, but not both at the same time. And how do i get to the menu again after switching to portrait?
Anyway, thank you for the effort.
I forgot to mention, some touch commands
Top-middle/Bottom-middle of the screen - jump
Left of screen - Change weapon
Right of screen - random weapon?
in portrait the bottom 1/2 of screen is black but the buttons are still there (just can't see them). take a look at the attached picture in first post so you can see were the menu button is (basically just click the top right corner of the black bottom 1/2 of your screen - that will bring up the menu)
once you know where the menu/escape key is don't be affraid to map your own control setup on the pro (assuming you want to use the keyboard to play)
but for diamond users use default buttons
Hi all - I just picked up a TD2 and have installed a few apps (SPB mainly) and I can no longer get my phone to rotate. Where is the setting that controls rotating of the screen?
Your hand controls the phones ability to rotate, put your phone in your hand then rotate, the phone will move the same way your hand does.......
.....sorry.....
In TouchFlo go to the Settings Tab, then scroll down to G-Sensor, here you can turn it on or off, but most people (I assume) use a third party app to control the rotation of the 'Screen', I use G-Config http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=487991, I'm sure others can offer alternatives.
This link is a good place to find 'Sensor' Apps http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=430541
I'm not seeing how you get into Touchflo to get to settings... that is where I'm stumped!
Ok, Touchflo is the flippy clock, people, messages etc tabs, I assume you have this unless you've disabled it and are using another program 'Mobile Shell' comes to mind, or you've reverted to the standard Today screen.
If you have the tabs as described, move to the far right selection, if you don't, please describe you setup and programs you've installed which have stopped it rotating.
You hit the nail on the head - I installed Mobile Shell and that is when I noticed I lost the rotating functionality.
Try installing G-Config, it might work, I don't know if the TD2 needs Touchflo running to enable rotate, I woulnd't think so, installing a program like G-Config might make it rotate (you'll need to select the apps to rotate with the program)
Hello everyone,
i've been trying several roms since few days.. and love them all
appreciate all the work you guys do, but i have this one little thing that i wish i had.
Why do i need to use the keyboard to go to landscape? is there no other option?
(i cant seem to find it..)
So i would like my screen to always rotate in every app when i rotate the phone.. (g-sensor rotate is on, but hardly ever works auto) OR have a key or app that i can use that overrules the sensor and just let me choose landscape mode.
Because the auto rotate doesnt seem to do that for most programs untill you slide the keyboard out. but i dont need my keyboard...
examples: i like tomtom in landscape, but not with the keyboard slide out!
(that way it wont fit in my carkit..)
and i want to be able to rotate a movie or tekst message whenever i want to..
etc etc.. (with the g-sensor OR some key or APP or something else)
or is the answer: its impossible? can hardly believe that, because it seems so easy to do.
thanks for any help
Search for ChangeScreen or G-Config.
Or set Send Key to rotate manually:
HKLM/System/GDI/Rotation change the "HideOrientationUI" from 1 to 0
Now you van remap the Send Key to do this on long press.
use this cab to rotate TF3d with out the keyboard
than use the g config app to add other programs to the rotate list, once you add the cab or any program using g config you have to soft reset for them to work
edit i have tom tom and adding it to g config app work great in landscape
very very nice
works like a charm with not much lag.
thank you.
just to let you know what i found as my final solution (for now) after lots of trying different roms:
i read somewhere here, (cant find it anymore) about setting the hardware "back" key to rotate screen on double click...
so no auto rotating anymore, only when i want to, with this tool:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=554240
Together with the ROM:
Phoenix 2 Sense 2.1 EnergyROM_28011_RHODIUM_07.Dec.2009_Standard.rar
it all works like a charm.. manila rotates very quick and everything else.
rom has start button on bottom and standard 4 columns in programs, nice agenda in landscape, yes i like this one
coreplayer works good.. no accidental rotates etc
i can just lay in bed and watch my favorite movie without troubles.
tomtom in widescreen in my car etc etc
thank you all for this superb forum
Try these Registry Settings
1. HKCU\Software\HTC\Manila -> add a new String Value with the name "EnableLandscape" and the value "true" (both without "")
2. HKCU\Software\HTC\HTCSENSOR\GSensor\ModuleName -> add a new String Value with the name "TF3D" and the value "\Windows\manila.exe" (both without "")
3. HKCU\Software\HTC\HTCSENSOR\GSensor\WhiteList -> add a new String Value: Name: "TF3D Value: "Manila" (both without "")
4. Change HKCU\Software\HTC\Manila DisableRotation value to 0 from 1.
5. Softreset
Search for flip_IT, found it in topaz forum, burried somewhere. It works awesome with WM6.5.x builds.
i used this clever little addin and made a shortcut in start menu n quicklaunch panel enjoy !
but as i found some programs will no look right when used in landscape mode.
