S2U2

Downloaded S2U2 and installed it.
Installed it on my units hdd and then soft reset.
Now nothing happened, so I went into programs and saw the map which I opened and clicked the S2U2 icon. It locked the screen and everything was sooo small, the font wasn't barely readable. It was ugly like hell and the green bar slide thingy was super small too...
I checked under settings and couldn't find font size or nothing so...
Then it doesn't have auto lock so does it actually make me go in and activate it manually everytime I wanna lock with S2U2?
This **** is weird...
make sure you actually downloaded the VGA version.
hey how do you keep it running? everytime I unlock it the program stop and if I lock the phone by the power button... S2U2 wont run again
I checked the setting but I dont see anything that will fix it... am I missing something here?
make sure u have iLock running. that's what starts up S2U2.
Nah, nevermind, thanks for taking your time answering.
I think it's ugly... Like the normal lock method...

My Touch HD is getting a little temperamental- lil help

Hi so this is what frequently happens, I lose the top bar on the screen (start icons etc) which needs a restart to get back, sometimes the screen will not go black when the power putton is pressed(for locking), holding the end call button to lock the phone dosent work at all even after restart(not that i use it), also the email icons where you flick down and up to get a preview often dosent work and the email opens instead(happend from the start).
So what i would like to know is what can i do about this I assume there is a new rom out there that is really nice and stable but which do you suggest? I would like one which replaces the alarm setting in the default rom as that is so annoying. Also I use the youtube program all the time and I would like to still have the zoom bar in opera. your advice is really appreciated.
Im getting some of these problems, sorry dont know what to sugest! but my end key has never locked my phone it ends data conection ok !!??
Paul.
Have you tried a hard reset?
There are many great roms each Rom has a thread you can check them out to see what they have and what they can do it depends on your preferences not others

Something its wrong with my phone?

Ok well for some reason when i install the dolphin browser from the market its always working fine the only thing that its anoying me its the way that the dolphin browser's icon looks when i turn off the phone then on the icon dissapears and it says "Posting..." and the taskiller with the red android icon it turns into a red bar.... the icon they both work properly but the icons change when i restart...its really weird and i was wondering if anybody could help me fix it.. the phone its rooted and has the clear full theme. even tho the clear lock its not working..its normal..for some reason :/
every time i reboot handcent and teminal emulator always change names and icons i have no idea why or how but i just uninstall them and reinstall them and they go back fine (lucky i dont reboot to often) oh yeah rooted running modaco 1.1 with clear lockscreen
wow this phone its not supose to be off alot? i turn it off because i think its gonna slow down ... i had the touch vogue (windows mobile) and thats what it did hehe and yeah only the dolphin browser and task killer does that icon changing everytime i turn it off and on and it goes back to normal when i reinstall....
and the clear lockscreen never worked for me i have the full theme but not the lock because i tried like 20 times.. =/
Well it's Linux, so it doesn't really need to be turned off. A Linux system can run for ages without needing to be rebooted or shut down to speed it up. This is because of the way Linux manages it's memory. But it doesn't really matter if you shut it down a lot... I turn mine off every night.

Htc hd2 keeps freezing help!

alright sooo I tried changing my wallpaper...did it about 3 times till I found one i liked. then i clicked the start button and went into the start menu but the wallpaper there was the one I had before...so i did a soft reset thinking that maybe thats all it needed. Then when i turn my htc hd2 back on it takes like a minute *longer than usual* saying "loading htc sense" with the old wallpaper in the background and once its finished the new wallpaper pops up and sense is loaded. The real problem is now that the device freezes alllllll the time. the start menu still has the old wallpaper. I tried setting the wallpaper back but every time I enter the screen to select a picture it freezes! I even deleted the file and it STILL is the background. PLEASEEEEE HELP!

The problem with the wallpaper is because sense is a seperate shell that runs on top of WinMo, so you have to set it in sense, and then if you want the start menu to have it you have to set it on the WinMo side. Are you using pictures from your sd card for the wallpaper? that might be causing a slowup. if so, move it to your devices main memory. I don't have the time to really look into it right now, but when I do I'll play around with my phone and see if I can help you figure this out.
By the way, welcome to the forums.
Thank you for the welcome! I have found a lot of interesting tweaks and mods for my htc hd2 here! :] About the wallpaper issue...how do you change the wallpaper in WinMo? I think i solved the problem. I went into settings -> all settings -> today and changed the background from there then a soft restart. I dont know if that changed the home screen wallpaper also but it did change the start menu background. THANK for you help!!
I still dont understand why my hd2 keep freezing though. I have been running wallpapers off my storage card since the beginning with no problems like this what so ever. Then all of a sudden I change the wallpaper again and it starts acting all funny! lol

Why are popup/system menus so slow?

I love my Dell Streak. But one thing I find really annoying is why the popup menus are so slow? It was on the official 2.1 and now the official 2.2 has the same problem.
For example, long pressing on the homescreen brings up the wallpaper/widget popup menu - it fades in so slowly as though the phone is struggling. All these types of menu across the OS are slow. Scrolling down these menus is even worse.
I have a 600mhz Android phone too, running 2.1 - it has no problems with these menus.
Is there any fix for this?
I got that on the 315_12332 version of 2.2 and anything thay poped up over the home screen like adding anything, especially adding widgets and trying to scroll down the list was a nightmare, and quick texts with Handcent was a nightmare to reply back with cos the keyboard would slow right down. That's when I check out this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=848487 and it made the phone soooo much faster, better and smoother to run! To some it might not be a simple fix but it was simple enough for me after a bit of reading, even though I'm new to the whole Android flashing scene.
