I'm confused. I have an XDA Guide and want a Brodit holder for it. They don't yet list the Guide (or Iolite or Polaris) but do list the "Touch Cruise" and "Touch Cruise 2".
I read somewhere that the Guide was the same as the "Touch Cruise 2009". Is that right? And is the "Touch Cruise 2009" another name for "Touch Cruise 2"?
I'm only concerned about the physical aspects - will a Guide fit a holder designed for a "Touch Cruise" or "Touch Cruise 2"? Will it fit an 'active' holder, i.e. is the USB port in the same position?
Iolite = Touch Cruise 2 = Touch Cruise 2009 or 09 = O2 XDA Guide
Judging by pictures found on the internet the XDA Guide is the same device as Touch Cruise 2.
According to said above the Guide would fit in the Brodit holder for Touch Cruise 2 (Iolite).

Thanks, Lokatho, that's what I thought from the pictures. I'll take a chance and order the Touch Cruise 2 holder. Will update this post in due course.
XDA Guide = Touch Cruise 2 (= Touch Cruise 2009)
Just to confirm...the XDA Guide fits perfectly in the Brodit holder for the Touch Cruise 2. The part number is 968883 (active), 848883 (passive). The holder activates navpanel when the Guide is inserted (if selected in Settings/System/Car Kit Mode).
All I have to do now is figure out how to get navpanel (or the dedicated nav button) to fire up TomTom instead of Copilot.

Thanks for the info. To start up TOMTOM via the dedicated button instead of copilot, follow the link in this post, It works just fine for me and also gives you the flexibility to remap the footprint button if you want

Brilliant - thanks, gazza_TT.
Incidentally, I've posted some photos of the Guide in a Brodit holder attached to a vent-mount in my car, if anyone's interested. They're on 4winmobile at:

Flo Touch For Hermes
Hiya,
This is out already. As good as it is I only give it 5.5 out of 10.
Once you get past the initial buttons (as it is on the actual HTC elf/touch phone itself), you still need a stylus. This makes it less than ideal in this man's opionion.
A iphone it is not.
So you can add all the touch aspects, but it will likely leave you wanting as it did this chap.
I actually removed it after a day or so.
The screen on Schaps 3.6 is very touch flo like and I prefer it
Also I prefer icontact (like an iphone) to the touch.
Enjoy!

Improved Functions and Fixes
1. Bluetooth Headset
It may happen that you cannot hear anything when using Bluetooth headsets (Jabra JX10, Jabra BT500 or Samsung WEP 150) even when it has already sucessfully reconnected with the Touch Cruise.
2. Default Onscreen Keyboard
It may happen that the device will not remember the last onscreen keyboard used. Before, the onscreen keyboard always defaults to the Touch Keyboard.
3. Title Bar
It may happen that the Title Bar disappears when you go back to the Home screen.
4. Camera Viewfinder
It may happen that the viewfinder is cut when you open a Powerpoint file and then tap Options.
5. GPS Mode
It may happen that the display becomes “abnormal” after taking a picture in GPS mode and then going into Suspend/Resume mode.
6. FM Radio Speaker/Headset Mode
It may happen that the FM Radio program uses the incorrect output mode (Speaker or Headset) before the application launches.
7. TouchFLO Setting
It may happen that the TouchFLO setting does not appear in the Settings > System tab.
8. TomTom in Home Screen
It may happen that TomTom does not show in the Home screen.

Touch cruise IS POLARIS
I've read on some Diamond 2 reviews that the 5 megapixel camera is fast and responsive to the touch screen controls.
Do any of the XDA pro's on this site know if it will be possible to update the Blackstone camera software with the Diamond 2 camera software? I know this would require the hardware to be the same in both but an update to the camera on the Blackstone would be greatly received. Actually, why don't HTC provide an update???
ok, just did some more fishing on the forum and found that Dutty's latest firmware does exactly this. Sorry for wasting forum space - should have looked harder.
I haven't flashed a phone since my SPV M1000 - I take it flashing it will invalidate my warranty?
I guess you're looking for this cab.
1.- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=493911
2.- CAB Repository (Topaz Camera)
(In the forums Diamond 2 is also Topaz)
Note that Diamond 2 camera has no zoom, and the pictures are taken and automatically rotated by HTC Album, so that you are not able to see it in the proper way. This could be more or less the solution:

I'm not sure if you're correct about the Diamond 2 camera having no zoom (i haven't played with it, so this is all 'what I think' not 'what i know'). It would not make sense for htc to release that device without zoom. I believe that it has zoom, but it's not touchscreen but instead uses the built in zoombar that's on the diamond2, hence there is no onscreen zoom touch buttons. This, however will soon be fixed for the HD port of that camera software/cab as people are developing the 'hardware' zoombar for the HD and are well along the way (there is already one working, but it doesn't work on all ROMs). In case you're interested, it's in the Themes/applications section of the blackstone forum and uses the bottom part of the HD to simulate the hardware zoom feature (from the 'pick up' button to 'hang up' button.
Hi.
I try to determine are my HTC Touch2 have GSensor.
I run some app using g sensor and it seams that part of them not work and part of them run but do not react on phone move.
I'm afraid that this phone don't have this sensor
definetly no, it dosn't have g sensor
I've got the AT&T Touch2 and mine's showing it has a G-Sensor. Oh snap!
Looking at specs on HTC site, shows a g sensor
Additional Features
- Motion G-Sensor
- Ambient Light Sensor
- FM Radio
http://www.htc.com/us/product/attpure/specification.html
Wrong specifications, diffrent phone.
This is the Touch 2, and except for the AT&T version that might have a G-sensor, the other verions do not have a G-sensor.
Hey! It is NOT same device. Lot of the differents between Touch2 and AT&T Pure. Like Camera resolution, sensors, etc.
yep, Touch2 doesn't have gsensor
G-sensor is hidden in the bottom of 3.5 phone socket...
HTC didn't equip it to all models, therefore it lacks in most of specifications.
To verify how it works go here:
HKLM\Software\HTC\HTCsensor\Gsensor
Change default value and try it

What key to insert and which value to change? Be a little more precise, please...
g sensor
how can i go there ??
I dont even have the setting
What key and value shall be used here??? Mine shows blank...
I'm confused. So HTC Touch 2 (not the AT&T ver.) does or doesn't have the G-Sensor?
I'm about to buy it, so it'd be nice to know.
Default , T3333 / MEGA / Touch2 DOES NOT HAVE G-SENSOR !
Please use SEARCH
it is more simple to search for an issue then to ask it all over again, so please try to search first !!!!

Cant agree more, there is a description all over the internet, NO G-SENSOR
Thread Closed
In fact it was joke prepared to 1APR
HTC Mega was assuming to have G-sensor but HTC decided to spare on Touches.
Mega has no G sensor. Quoted registry entry is supposed to be present at any WM phone.
