hey everyone i know that others get mad when people ask questions on this page, but i really needed help because i didnt see anyone with the same problem before.
okay i just updated to the new spl and i when i was flashing to the 6.0r1 i got stuck at the htc booting screen and it keeps looping it and playing that cool sound . can anyone please help me. thanks
pull battery after about 10-15min. stick it back in and reboot- should b ok. mine oftne does that going to a new build.... if you already had apps on sd then it will also take a lot longer while it finds them etc...
maybe just ask this question in the thread about the build next time. no need for a new thread for this.
Wipe before you flash. (Alt-w) then (alt-s)

Hey guys, firstly, apologies if this post is in the wrong place.
i think i have made a massive mistake and am really hoping someone here can offer a solution. I installed hard spl, and went in search of official roms to try out. i installed this rom RUU_Leo_Dopod_CHS_1.70.706.0_Radio_CRC_Signed_15.3 2.50.07U_2.07.51.22_2_Ship.exe
from a link from one of the stickies in this section. i didnt see any obvious problem with doing this, but maybe i just have no idea what im doing. neway, no when i try to boot the phone up i get a message in red writing saying 'your rom isnt customised for your hardware. please reflash the proper rom code or contact the service center'
what can i do. is my phone bricked? how do i flash back to a compatible rom if i cant get an active sync connection?
ne help would be really appreciated guys. feeling slightly desperate here
turn the phone off, hold down 'vol down' and turn it on and you'll get to the bootloader. plug your usb in and it'll change from serial to usb. then flash as normal and think carefully next time
Same problem here. Just enter bootload, flash other radio, then flash other rom...
phew, thanks a lot guys. worked perfectlyjust out of interest, why didnt that rom work?
Don't know but I don't try non-WWE stock ROMs - I only use custom ROMs these days or stock ROMs from my region to be on the safe side...
Hey guys. i have probably what everyone will call a stupid question, but ive looked everywhere and still have not gotten a solid answer.
Basically, the first ROM i loaded was a version of CELL Series that had a costum slate grey boot screen. i liked it, but im addicted to ROM flashing and started putting other ROMs on. bad thing, is that no matter what rom i flash, the CELL series screen is the first thing i see when turning on my phone. ive run task 29 and loaded Energy GTX at the moment, but that same boot image comes up and i have no clue how to change it....
is there something im doing wrong that can be fixed?

When you flash a new rom did you do a hard reset after that?
if so, idk BUT create your own boot screen.... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=684301
Not all roms include custom boot screens ...
I know the Energy does not , at least not the "first" boot screen ...

Here's a ready made 1st boot screen you can flash via microSD for exactly this situation, made via pakistaniprince's post above. I've also included the stock pink tmobile screen if you want to go back. If you do make your own, please post in that thread so we can have a ready made collection. Just put the leoimg.nbh from the zip into your FAT32 microSD and go into bootloader, it's that simple. takes less than 30 seconds.

You need to read through this a few times and eventually Hard-SPL the device (allowing you to flash cooked/custom ROMs on the device).

so install the hspl file on to my hd2 sucessfully. when i try to install the rom it would freeze up around 42 percent the first time i try to install. the second and few times after it went into recovery mode it didnt make it past 16%. can some one help me out ? i was trying to install the energy leo cookie rom for tmboile.
try flashing a cooked rom, in the hope that it doesnt try to flash the radio, since it looks like its the radio causing problems. (This isn't the only thread with the dreaded 'RSA Fail' next to teh radio.)
Hi, I had android on my HD2 for a while but had to totally reboot it and now I'm stuck with Win6.5
I've searched and found nothing to help me get it back to android, I can't even get it working via SD install.
phone is on 2.08 HDPL and will only boot into win, I can't boot into magldr.
can someone please help, I really hate windows with a passion, I've read loads of messages regarding this issue though no one seems willing to provide an answer.
I hope someone out there knows how to do this and is willing to pass on the info.
It took a while for me to do this last time, but this time it seems impossable
Once you went back from Android NAND to WM6.5 roms you have to flash magldr again to get NAND working again. Did you do that?

Hey guys for the last couple months ive been using android 2.3 gingerbread on my tmobile Hd2 with no issue. Except one day, yeasterday it ran out of battery or something, and now for some reason the phone boots, goes past the first couple of screens until it goes to the red, green, yellow, blue lines that intersect and make an X. It just stays there and doesnt finish booting into the OS. I dont know if there any way to fix this, a problem with power, or that i have to install the stock windows 6.5 rom again. Either way, any help or linked tutorials would be greatly appreciated.
Oh and the kind of rom i used is NAND, its installed into the phone and not the sd card.

If you leave the phone on the charger, does it enter a bootloop or does it boot up to a certain point then freeze? If it's the latter I'm not really sure as to what I can do to help (there are solutions, I just don't really know any of them) but if it's the first then your battery is probably out of charge to the point where it can't boot far enough into the OS to be able to start charging. You'll have to cut open a USB cable and charge it manually, unfortunately.
