what formats can it play
sorry, does not play any media > no error
HTC Diamond
Same here... Tried installing to the device memory and memory card... Tried flv, mp3 and jpeg files in the device memory and memory card.
My device has a wierd resolution though (400x240... Samsung Omnia). My localization (PT) also uses some uncommon chars (like ã and ó) in the name of some drives (though the device memory dirs don't have these and still didn't work).
Same problem for me nothing opens but then I realised it is for WinCe not WinMo so maybe that is why?
Would be interesting to know what formats (codecs) can be decoded. Is there a possibility to add this to WMP or CorePlayer?

Hy,
the system requirements are Windows 2005 and above.
You have to install the .net compact framework before you can use ffplay.

What file do you want to open. Where is it stored?
Known bug is you have to "kickstart" the internet connection before you can play any file. i will fix it tomorrow if i have time.

It means any network file. Local files does work without internet connection!
Awesome -- I use FFMPEG all the time on the desktop to convert video files. I can't wait to play with it on my device
mccoffein what device are you using the player in? Is it runnining WinMo 6.1? Or are you running it in the emulator?
I already tried installing to the "Program Files" folder in the device memory (reboot after installing). Tried to play an mp3 from the root of the device memory. Even tried using WVGAFIX3 to set my screen res as regular QVGA (320X240) before launching the app but it's all the same. NET 2.0 is in ROM. These should have excluded localization and resolution issues... Can't get it to play anything in my device.

Can you please tell me if it works on your device?
Thanks
On my Touch HD I can't open any file. When I try to play a file the waitcourser appears for a few second but after that it doesn't play any files and you are just back in the main screen.
I tried many different files(.avi(Xvid), .mkv(h.264), .mp4(h.264), Photo(jpg), music(mp3, wma)) but nothing works.
I have a cooked wm6.1 WWE Rom so there shouldn't be any problems.
Hy,
ok ... i will check if the registry settings out of the cab installer are correct. i think that will be the problem.

Yes you need to download the new flashbundle. Others have been having this problem, but it got resolved once they updated the flash bundle.
I will enclose the new flash bundle and TCPMP player here if any one needs it.

For the sake of us titan newbies who must sign up every day, it would be cool if the experts could say what a TCPMP player is...the flash bundle is pretty obvious. Thanks!
tcpmp player prety much plays everything. however, correct me if i am wrong, it still will not work over wifi right?
The Flashplayer I enclosed works for me (I am using DCD's 2.2 ROM with WM6.1 on Verizon). (This cab came out on Jan 22, 2008 -- to fix the youtube issues)
Maybe you installed it wrong.
Step One Uninstall your TCPMP and Flashbundle player. Yes you have to install TCPMP and Flashbundle all over. I read you had to do this or else it wont work properly.
Step Two Install TCPMP (a media player that is used to play many files. For example youtube videos ). When you install it chose to install it to your SD card.
Step Three Copy the NEW Flashbundle cab (the one I provided) to the program folder that was created for TCPMP on your SD card
Step Four Once you copied the Flashbundle Cab to the TCPMP folder run the Flashbundle Cab from there and chose to install it to the SD card instead of local memory.
Step FiveSoft Reset
Now you are done. You can now view YouTube and are able to save, preview, and link videos.
Yes it even works over WIFI. I use it with WIFI all the time because it would cost alot with a data plan ( i download alot of videos )
If you ever experiece issues where you flashbundle doesnt work dont worry. Youtube updates their site many times and our Flashbundle is incompatible. Lucky for us we got a source where they update the Flashbundles to work when this happens just visit : http://discussion.treocentral.com/showthread.php?t=148801&highlight=youtube+tcpmp
If you got any more questions feel free to ask. Once again hope this helped you guys out.

Good job on searching, but this is a new problem with the newer build of WM 6.1.

Has anyone tried this on a Samsung Epix? I was able to get it working on my Tilt, but I haven't had any luck with the Epix. Any suggestions?
Ive Tried All The New ways to get my flash bundle to work after the 6.1 upgrade, as far as downloading the new flash bundle, installing both on storege card and installing the flash bundle cab inside of TCPMP player folder.
The Video sites show up on my phone, but when i press to play i get an error message.
Also the video player will not even open up, it says Crash; Unexpected program failure. Please send "crash.txt" to the developers. Program will now exit
Mod Edit: Moved from Titan Upgrading
TCPMP won't work.
The only free workaround I have found is to install YouTubePlay. Use the flashvideobundle to download the file, then play it with YouTubePlay.
Bummer.
Search this forum for tcpmp crash error and there is an entire thread with updated files included to get tcpmp and flash video bundle working with the new builds of WM 6.1

This is untrue, look for a fixed version of TCPMP that happened after one of DCDs updates. I will look for mine.

Ahh, the beauty of the search button!
Hello Guys,
glad to finally open my first thread Now the problem:
Recently i installed the Nexus Android Build on my HD2/Leo and everything worked fine for the last days. Today, I tried to get an .avi movie running. The problem is, not a single player i tested [all the popular ones] is able to find the files on the sd card. Furthermore, all file managers like astro have the same problem. I can not see any of the avi files i copied onto my sd card. It doesnt matter whether i copy them on the root folder or in a subfolder.
Has anyone an idea what the problem might be?
Thanks in advance for any hint!
Regards, rev.
Have you tried restarting your phone after putting the files on? This sort of thing sometimes happened to me, the files would not appear on the sd card until I rebooted the phone. I think its an issue with some builds.

Hello,
thx for this hint. Now i can at least see the files in the explorer. Unfortunately, i still cant play them. Whichever player (arc, mix, yx, meridian) i chose after tapping on the file i get wn error massage stating that the file can not be played. Any further suggestions?
Thx so far!

Try Arcmedia, is a good avi player
Hey,
i already did that. negative.....
I dont think the problem are caused by the players but by the build.
Can someone give me explicit instructions for the installation of TCPMP on the Mini? I must the only person in any hemisphere that can't make this work. I down loaded TCPMP & Master Codec Pack 6 Cab, installed it as I normally install a Cab but when I try execute the program, I get a message about an unexpected program failure.
Coreplayer was fine until I tried to run a avi file with ac3 codec. I've worked long and hard with no luck.
Thanks,
Humphster
Hi..
I have also exactly the same problem...
Did you find any solutions for installing TCPMP in HD mini?
Please...help us any one knows..
Not yet. Sometimes it takes a while but somebody will step up and post the solution
install with this cab:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=494720&d=1295516063
then install this skin:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=459336&d=1291830455
Just extract the zip file and copy the file and the folder to the
"Program Files\TCPMP" folder on your device.

Thank you for your relpy. Unfortunately, I am still unable to get TCPMP to function. After installing and opening the player, I get the following message "libmad plugin is not compatible with current player version. Please update". TCPMP opens, I choose a playable file and all I get is a pink screen. Closing it and reopening cause the device to freeze.

open TCPMP then go to options /video and swich to GDI and you'll be able to play video now (just open a video file)
Thanks. I was able to view an AVI/AC3 file no problem. However, when I tried to run an AVI/MP3 file, I got an error message that the player (TCPMP) didn't support MP3. I do not recall any problem like that with installtions on other devices. Is there a solution? For convenience sake, it would be nice to use just one player instead of one for each file type. Thanks.
hellow
i tried everything...every player and option including the tcpmp + the ''flv plugin'' and could not find a solution
there is something that actually working and not just a name?
thanks

Download the TCPMP Plug-in. Go to your mobile device's web browser and download the software. The file download prompt will appear, select "Run." Wait for the download to end.
Install the TCPMP Plug-in. After the download, the installation wizard will appear. Follow the instructions provided. It is best that you download this plug-in to your internal memory, choosing the external memory may cause errors.
Play FLV files by going to your Windows Mobile web browser, start TCPMP, by going to the "Main Menu" and "Applications." Visit the mobytube, site and search for a video, click on one of them and press "Play". Now you can start streaming videos online. You can also download the video directly to your Windows Mobile device and play it by clicking on the file.
