Please tell me if anybody else is experiencing the same problem. If it is just me i wont replace my ppc and find solution for it. If everybody else is going through the same problem i will ditch this.
I mean my older ppc which i have had for two years lasts longer than this. I haven't even inserted my GSM card, nor used wifi etc. And whats more it requires such a long time to get the battery fully charged.
I have updated my roms as you can see below:
Rom Date: Jun212008
Rom Version: MP-1.01.04
Bootloader: MP-1.00.03
...but battery still drains like mad.
I have searched here but not found any solution.
BTW how do you turn the screen to off completely. When i manually turn off the display i can still see light coming off of the screen. My other pocket pc's turns dark completely. This is at my desperate attempt to save power.
Currently I'm turning off the keyboard as well as the SmartWheel, yet another attempt to see if power is conserved. So far it is showing signs that it is. Will let you know tomorrow. However the backside of the ppc still gets heated up considerably more when compared to my other devices that i've had.
How to solve this? My ROM is even more recent than the one posted on HP's website! I really love everything about the Ipaq 612c except this battery issue.
TIA
i suggust you either try other rom or contact hp for exchange, there is known issue with battery for some ipaq 61x
I had the same problem with my 614C.
The battery started draining really fast even without use and another symptom was that it would no longer connect to active sync through the cable.
I had no idea what caused it and it was exchanged by HP.
A week after that I connected the phone to my car adapter (12volt to USB) and the same problem came back. Once again it was replaced by HP and the adapter is in the trash.
I belive there was somethinh wrong with the adapter that caused some electric damage to the phone.
hello to you both,
So does this sound normal? Using programs like AE Button and B_Uptime it says that i have around an uptime forecast of 5 hours and 7 minutes.
So far i have used 1 hour and 40 minutes. I have another 3 hours and a half left.
Does five hours of usage sound normal for a brand new battery?
Anybody else can get more uptime out of their system without underclocking it?
Maybe you have ActiveSync always running in background?? See in processes repllog.exe file.
no replog.exe in processes registering zero percent usage.
How about you, how long does power last with your 600 series ipaq? Does the battery get hot also?
mines lasts 3 days with normal phone use (probally lite compared to others) music playing for about 2 hours a day and GPS for maybe 30mins a day, after 3 days i'd have at least 30% battary. Screen on setting 3 (which is almost the same as max anyway) not much wifi/bt though, its a 612c as well.
since you've posted other problems as well i'd ge it changed.
[edit] i get some heat only with the gps and after an hours of continuous music. otherwise its rather cool
Using a registry editor on the Pocket PC add a new DWORD value of DisablePowerManagement with a value of 0 to the following keys:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\L2TP1\Parms
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\PPTP1\Parms
After saving the new DWORDs, turn your phone off for 10 seconds, and then press the soft reset button. Once the phone reboots, you should see a noticable improvement in battery life.
This battery saving trick has been used successfully on many WM devices...
Glad to hear that guys...
I will show this to the people at HP at i'm not B**lsh*ting.

No, it is an aftermarket battery.
Lasts longer then the original HP, I have one about 1 year.
if anything that battary would last shorter than your current battary (assumeing your current battay is not defective) The ebay one is only 1500mAh while the stock HP one is 1590mAh.
But if you only get say half a day on a single battary, two should last you a full day.

I am trying this now... Will let you know how much it saves power.
But something is strange with this Pocket PC. I use a program such as B_uptime to see how much the device has running and how much it has been idle. (See picture)

When i press the power button to turn it off it doesn't generate ANY idle time. It seems that when i press the power button the some processes are still active. In this example I have only 2 hours of usage time left.
But with my other Pocket PC, which I have the exact applications installed and exact applications running, if i press the power button, idle time is never zero. So for example in a day i would typically have five hours of Processing Time and Five hours of Idle Time. Not so with the Ipaq 612c.
This is definitely what's causing the PPC to be warm even when i'm not using for it for hours.
I use ROM by Yevg001 with FW 0.89.
When I disconnect my active sync. I have set an application to automatically kill active sync. When checking processes, replog.exe is not running.
So what gives??
b_uptime can be downloaded here:
http://freewareppc.com/utilities/buptime.shtml
found the problem
I have found the bloody culprit!!!
Do not install SPB Phone application that came with your phone.
UNINSTALL IT IMMEDIATELY!
Now when it's turned off, the processor really sleeps
strange, i use SPB shell and have not noticed any battary drain. The before mentioned battary life was with SPB shell running. I too use Yevg001's rom (1.4 rev2 to be exact) with FW 0.89.
strange indeed
all is o.k now...
I now just have to check the battery problem where the ppc resets its self (or turns off by itself) when calling or receiving a call when the battery level is below 50%...
If that happens then i'll get in touch with hp tech support...
thanks to all...

No Not SPB Shell but SPB Phone and not the latest version. The version that came with box, the older version.
I would also commend HP Indonesia, they have been extremely helpful, kind and responsive, thanks HP!

Hello to everyone in this great and very very very big forum.
I just bought (1 week ago) a tytn from somebody. It looked very ok, the software was good when i tested it when i bought it but...
The phone went off in no time (I didn't noticed this when i bought it) like 3-5 hours.
I installed acbPowerMeter and BatteryStatus and something VERY STRANGE happens:
with wi-fi OFF it consumes something like 350mAh (not 35, but 350!!)
with wi-fi ON it consumes something like 150mAh (I have to be connected to a network to consume like this)
When i put it in stand-by it consumes something like 100mAh (but it can consume even 300mAh in stand-by).
This consumption i told you is with the phone OFF! with it on it consumes something like the same or less.
I want to ask you: is there anything that i could do (software change...) or is a hardware issue? Because it is obvious this was the reason he sold it and i think he tried many things too... (now he doesn't answer his phone, of course)
Details for my tytn:
ROM version: Schap's 4.31 (WM 6.1 I think)
ROM date: 10/03/2007
Radio version: 1.47.30.10
Protocol version: 32.80.7020.20W
ModelNo: HERM200
Clue:
He said he sails it because he wants tytn II and that the wireless connection drops now and then (he said 1 time in 2-3 hours) and i said ok no problem for me (he used it like a wi-fi card for his laptop)
No reply from you too?
Oh well... I think I have a curse for second hand things...
Ontopic:
The phone heats very very strong and after a call it consumes much memory even with wi-fi on. Turnin the phone off doesn't resolve the problem.
I'm thinking on hard-reseting the device to see if it is from the ROM (it will be back with win mobile 5, no?)
Hahahha. Welcome to the TyTn club.....
The power consumption is the problem with all the Windows Mobile phones I have tested. I have tested about 15 different phones for my work.
HTC is probably the best for power consumption. Why, I think because you can disable WiFi, HSDPA and BT and IR. Then you can work for more than 50 hours with you're same phone!
Have FUN with you're phone.
Thanks for the reply but read carrefully:
When Wi-fi is TURNED ON it consumes LESS!!
This is very unusual. And the power consumption for 300-to 400 mAh when i don't do nothing... the word huge is little word for the comparison.
if i have at least 20 hours of stand by i would be very pleased about this ppc... but i don't go more than 5 hours...
Hi shumilica, and welcome to the world of winmo.
Power consumption has always been incredible on my Hermes, which I've owned for about a year and a half. Of course, my device is on an unlimited plan, and it checks 5 email boxes, 4 of them every 30 minutes, and the other on push. It also updates weather in 4 cities every 30 minutes, and downloads newsgroups once a day.
Left on its own, my battery will die in about 3 hours. That is why I have 2 batteries, a docking/charging station at each of my desktops at work and at home, a charger on my nightstand, and one in my car. These things need a lot of fuel to run.
I can't comment on your strange findings with wifi ... are you sure you trust the numbers being reported? Does your battery life REALLY improve when wifi is on? Or is it just that the numbers being reported are higher? I'd question the software you're using to generate these reports.
As for hard-resetting ... no, it will NOT return you to a previous ROM. That's not how it works.
Hope this helps,
-pvs
wow my tytn saves me a whole lot of power compared to yours mine uses between 30 and 52mA with wifi off with wifi on it uses 150 to 400mA but before i updated the rom to wm6.1 it was useing a whole lot more try updating the rom but save all your files
To the OP, FIRST backup all your stuff then try flashing a STANDARD WM6 ROM to the device...such as the HTC official WM6 ROM.
Do a test with the power meter app and see what happens.
Come back to us with your findings. Im doing some tests of my own at the moment to see if the battery status is updating correctly in my ROM (i use the one that displays the battery % in the graphic).
also use a taskmanager to see if there's anything using a LOT of processing power all the time (CPU)
My phone is only GSM only, with specified bands(so, not in auto mode), and uses less than 90mAh with the backlight turned on, on the today screen.
WM6.0 & Radio 1.47.30 by the way, best in my experience for battery consumption and stability of voice calls. My apartment gets this really crappy antenna and it's a REALLY good stress test for radio versions. A GOOD radio will be able to hold an understandable voice call. An average radio and sub-par radio will have a lot of hiccups

hey guys,
i wantet to post the same problem! its my second tytn (first went swimming ...) and this new one (buyed second hand too) has the same problem but i just noticed it is runnig very hot and empty within 3 hours(just in standby). Now i checked with acbmeter (without anything runnig any apps) avg. 350 mAh, with wifi on 84mAh and its quied cooler. My last tytn runs a whole weekend, without charging. I am new with this whole flashing thing where i can get this radio 1.47.30?

Did you ever get around to doing tests on this? I have a feeling that my battery meter is actually reading incorrectly (as opposed to the battery loosing that much power). I say this as I have seen a number of times, as an example, battery at 60% would drop to about 20-30% after only a 15-20min voice call. Also, after soft-resetting the device the battery meter would increase to about 20% more than before the soft-reset.
I'm definitely a converted user of WM devices- been about 4 years and love them but this Hermes is really testing my patience with battery life!
I have to tell you what happened with my tytn:
I changed the ROM but still no change, the back cover was heating and the battery was out in something like 5-6 hours top. But one time, i don't know why, after it drained, i kept it off and wihout battery a week or something and I puted the battery back and NO MORE battery draining... two days of stand-by (without sim) and was at 90%. I shut it down and reopened (or putet in the charge, I don't remember very well) and again it started again... After that I tried a lot of different combination: drained the battery, pulled out the battery for 1-2 days, charged it with the tytn closed etc. etc. And after some more drainings... IT STOPPED... so after this my tytn didn't drain the battery anymore so quickly, no more heat in the back cover (from the battery)... and i tested it: i closed it, reopened, charge it for a momement, put a sim in it, speak with it etc.
I think it helped that i had bluetooth always on... but i don't know for sure... so... try keeping bluetooth on (put it always on from the settings), the tytn will drain the battery, charge it with it closed, open it and the bluetooth will be still opened and maybe it will work... or maybe it was from the fact that i trow it many times in my bed So...
I tested it for 3 days with no problem and after that i sold it.
i my cause not function...another solutions?...recomands?....

After having a think I bought a new battery and it WAS a dodgy battery. The new battery isnt an extended one (it is 1500mAh instead of 1350mAh but thats the only difference).
The device will sit there nicely for days before needing a charge, depending on if i use it alot or not, push email is on and i tend to get atleast 10 emails a day, several calls etc...

Perhaps something I may have to try too- I've have to turn off direct push and schedule emails (exchange and personal) to two hours and the battery life is still poor.
Will look into a new battery to see if that helps. I've had my device coming up to two years now.

Yes mine is almost 2 years old, I bought it around July/August 2006 when they first came out.
The battery I bought on ebay is HERE. The guy delivered it VERY quick (im in the UK).
i've charged it completely, it obviously got really hot. usually at this point, i would take out the battery and let it cool off before turning the phone on, otherwise it would get even hotter and eat 300+ mA and drain the battery fast. this time i opened the wi-fi connection and immediately the battery status dropped from 332 mA to 130, and stayed down there. the phone even cooled down a bit. after i've turned off the wi-fi, it started draining and heating again. what can i do? is it a software or hardware problem?

Hi all,
I've got a serious problem with my Hermes:
The Battery is drained very quickly and becomes very warm. According to acbPowerMeter with 3G OFF, WiFi OFF, Bluetooth OFF and no running programs its drawing somewhere between 350-400mA (!) in Standby mode . But now the strange thing: when i switch WiFi ON the current drops to about 80-130mA sometimes 40mA or less.

ROM: Pays ROM 2.15 GER
RADIO: 1.50.00.00
same thing with
ROM: HTC 3.54.257.2 GER
RADIO 1.47.00.10
Obviously you know you need to replace your battery immediately.
I'm willing to bet that you've configure your WiFi to search for a 'hidden' SSID (then you switched the power setting to 'performance', instead of the default power saver mode).
The Device and battery are brand new. (Its a replacement for another TyTN which had a defective camera and also drained the Battery very quickly).
WiFi is set to energy save mode and it isn't searching for hidden networks. The thing is when WiFi is OFF the device drains more current than with Active WiFi!
Sorry, unfortunately i can't find any useful information in there.
Sorry if this doesn't belong to this thread, but I have a similar problem:
After using WiFi and turning it off, my TyTN's battery starts getting very warm and drains very quickly. I turn it off, remove the battery for a few minutes, then put it back and power the device on, but in a few hours the battery heats up again and drains completely very soon. I have no idea what to do with this... Any advice?
No, ideas? Help would be much appreciated
I noticed that sometimes my TyTN is working nearly normal, that means it draws 15-20mA with WLAN OFF, i switch WLAN to ON: 150mA, but then when i switch WLAN OFF it starts drawing 350-400 or more again
V87, please post the link to the tool you are using to measure how much power is being drawn from the battery. I want to make comparisons with my unit, just to be sure before I respond
http://www.acbpocketsoft.com/Products/acbPowerMeter/acbPowerMeter-Overview-2.html
It came together with my rom (pays 2.15)
Hey all,
I've been lurking for a while, just picked up a 8525, and noticed some of the same issues. Occasionally, I'll notice the battery getting warm, and after popping up acb power meter, the device is drawing 350-400ma. Turn on wifi, back down to 40-70ma. Wifi off, back up to enormous drain.
I'll shut the device off (long press power button), remove the battery, wait about 5-10 minutes to let everything cool off. Install device, power up, all good.
It's an intermittent issue, and I haven't been able to nail down what triggers the power draw. I'm still experimenting, and will post if I am able to notice any consistency in triggering the issue.
Hey, count me in with that same issue to. I thought it was a battery/charger problem after only getting about an hour out of a batter, but after a new battery and charger, I tried the battery meter program I saw that it was drawing 350-400mA while doing nothing and getting quite warm, but if I enable wireless it drops to 80-90mA. If there was something in that manual that is no longer posted. I would greatly appreciate knowing it.
Unfortunately no. the service manual that was posted includes a procedure for checking the battery voltage with a multi-meter and a test procedure for the logic board that can't be done without service equipment.
I have since sent my TyTN to be serviced for the battery drain issue, and am waiting to get it returned.
I had a similar issue to this. Got my Vario II, charged it up overnight. Next day took it off charge and headed for work. Got to work about 45 minutes later and the phone felt really hot in my pocket. Battery was down to 10%. Same thing occurred over next 2 days so I sent it back, got a replacement and all was good.
After playing with this unit, I've noticed that the high-drain/hot battery starts happening after using a program that consumes high CPU (AOE, flashing, etc). After powering down and removing the battery for a few minutes, and allowing everything to cool down, everything appears ok.
This could be exacerbated by loading the system while charging.
Any EE's with ideas?
Well my TyTN's back from the shop. They replaced the logic board. Hopefully this one won't have any issues
Maybe this was caused by an active 3G connection. I am currently streaming audio over 3G and the power drain goes up to 550mA. The battery becomes very warm as well, which is normal for 3G usage afaik. If you enable wifi, maybe the 3G connection stops and tries to switch to wifi, causing a considerable drop in power drain.
I also noticed that a soft-reset helps bring battery drain down as well. As if windows or the device keeps using power for some background process or something. Not sure if that if a software or hardware related problem tho.
Was running NexusHD2-Gingerbread_V2.3_NAND_(Android-2.3.2) for last two months.. in standby I wouldn't get more than six hours really. Drove me nuts. I've just upgraded to NexusHD2-Gingerbread_V2.6_NAND_(Android-2.3.3)_update . Is there anything I have to do to get better battery life?
Some app that'll turn off wifi? (i have no wifi at work but would like it on at home, any suggestions?)
Should I be upgrading the SD card to some other type?
I never used battery monitoring tools until today. I've installed 'current widget' and it shows 4-6ma of usage when sleeping.
Battery E.T.A. app shows 10hrs of life .. is this normal?
I'm almost at the point of selling this phone because of the insanely short battery life..
no it isn't normal...with 4mA drain it must have to keep at least 2 days in standby...buy a new battery

Your current widget shows that the battery should last really long. With 4-6maH, u should drain battery at an approx rate of 1% per hour. But since your battery doesnt last that long even after that, seems your battery is too old and is going to die soon.
I will suggest you to flash the stock win 6.5 rom, see the battery drain, if it lasts for 10hrs or so, go and get and new battery.

Ok, I'll see how it performs for next two days. Then try a different battery. Odd thing is. I have two batteries, neither seemed to last any longer than the other.
I checked this one is a bb81100 1350mAh/3.7v.
Any recommended battery for this phone? Ebay safe?

Hey
Try enabling the Log file & Log applications in current widget settings, then check the log after a few hours to see if, or how often, your mA spikes above 300-400mA (in standby), then try to figure if any apps you have installed are causing this spikes/ drain.
its a bit of work, but it has helped me in the past identify a 'problem' app
There might be a chance that some other app is eating up your battery.... enable app logs in current widget and check the log if any app has high battery usage...
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
Ok, this is quite surprising. I've gotten 13hrs and it says 40% battery left..
I've enabled logging as recommended. But these logs aren't exactly fun to look at. I don't understand why they wouldn't give you an option to pull the core android apps out of the logging.. or some sorta filter tool. ugh
the one thing I uninstalled was the antivirus program that was on my phone. Well along with the firmware update. I can deal with 13hrs of battery.. it was the six hours or 7-8hrs that was annoying as all heck. So if this really does last another 5-10hrs for a total of 20+hrs I'll be super stoked. I barely use my phone.. no games. nothing. It just sits on standby for 3-5calls a day.. and perhaps 20emails/rss feed checks.
Hi,
Kind of a noob question, but how do you enable Log file & Log applications?
I'm running the same ROM and getting 10 hours on a full charge, I used to get much more on the previous Froyo NAND ROM I was running.
In standby, sometimes it gets as low as 3mA however sometimes it spikes as high as 100-250 mA while in standby.
I'm guessing its an app or widget that is causing this (although I pretty much have the same ones as I was using in the previous ROM)

Click to collapse
Open Current Widget settings...Tick d boxes beside "Log file" & "Log Applications"...Set ur update intervals (i usually use 300secs= 5 mins)...Let ur phone sit in standby for about 2 hrs then re-open current widget...Tap "View Log" to view the logs with d default or ur favorite viewer.
Deleted..sorry

I prefer Battery Monitor Widget instead of Current Widget. Hard to explain the differences but you'll know when you try it.
At 4-6mA standby your phone should go for more than 2 days.
Edit: Add screenshot. Even says 3 days.
Ok, I've been thinking about this for a while now so I'm going to make a test to decide if I really need a battery saver. I'm making this test for myself purely but I thought someone might wanted to see the results as well so here we go.
The gear:
Samsung Galaxy S2, non-rooted
2000 mah Samsung battery
The competitors
Phone on its own
JuiceDefender Ultimate
GreenPower Free
The settings
Prefer Wifi over data
Connect every 30 min to sync
No night settings (to be fair against the others)
Screen brightness: Auto
I know the battery savers are made to save battery when not using your phone so the screen will be locked the phone only used for a small amount of time between chargings.
The phone is unplugged at 100% and I will continue down to 30% before charging again. I will only be testing each one once, as of now at least.
We'll see how it goes over the next days so feel free to ask questions and such.
Many people I know with an S2 use battery saving apps but i really see no point in them, when we used to compare our stock phones running the same stock ROM there was minimal battery difference. Haptic feedback will be off or on? That makes a big difference.
You should put in a custom ROM to see how much better it is compared to stock.
i look forward to seeing the results of this test though
If I got it correctly haptic feedback is phone vibration on touch, right? That's off at least, never liked it. I'd like to put a custom ROM but I don't want to root the phone, yet.. Maybe in a few months or a year...
I will be updating this as we go along. At the moment we are at 96% with 3 hours of sleep time and only a few minutes of screen time.
Ermm, can I ask does task killer drain your battery? Sorry if I ask the wrong question.

task killer will drain battery if the programs you closed restarts, use advance task killer and ignore those that do,you may need it for those apps that didnt close properly
im interested in your trial, juice defender service was failing to run on my s2, it ended up eating my battery restarting the service.
im looking to save power as i lose 15% over night with flight mode while i hear people lose 1,2%
Yes Android is a bit different than computer OS. To start an app drains more battery than just pushing the "back"-button and let it be in stand by so don't use task killers.
Yea I have had trouble some times with the battery saver draining quite a lot over the night but usually it has been because I had a mail as a widget with push-notification so the battery saver wouldn't disable internet but almost push all my other accounts as well. That was my solution at least. We'll see how this goes.
4h in 93% battery
15 min scrren time
A little update. You see where we are.

And does anyone know what can have caused this? This is a picture from a few days ago. It has happened maybe 10 times over the last 2 months. Simply the phone gets hot and the only way to unlock the screen is to remove the battery, refit it and then start it. And then it shows this massive drain.
Okay we got 1 day 13 hours down to 30% with 30 min of screen time. Next up is the Juice Defender Ultimate with night settings off.
An update for you all. As you can see JuiceDefender has already passed the "vanilla" time.
I had an odd problem. Sometime during night, the battery suddelny decided to drain at much faster rate and it took it only 6 hours or so to drain from 75% to 15%. I checked with BetterBatteryStats but there seems to be no app that has kept it awake. Anyway, I can't continue with this test spimply because I don't have time for reruns.
What I can say in previous experience:
Vanilla
Great that as soon as a message comes in you get notified immediately.
Unfortunately that's because wifi or data is kept on all the time, draining battery.
JuiceDefender
Usually gives my phone 3-4 days of battery.
It does take some time (up to 15 sec or so) when you unlock the screen to connect and that can be annoying if you are in a hurry.
When I have night settings on to set phone in no vibration, no sound but also have different night setting time for weekends the phone vibrates once at midnight between weekdays and what JuiceDefender recognizes as weekend.
Sometimes it doesn't feel like the apps are updating even though settings are set to allow "dumb apps" to update as well as plenty of time to do so.
GreenPower
I have only had time to use it for a few days and it is only the free version. I will probably buy the premium soon.
It has a better UI than JuiceDefender though not so many settings. I'm not really sure if I need those other settings.
Best thing, it connects instantly to data when I unlock the phone so I can get on to the web or viber or such to see messages directly.
If anyone wants to continue this thread you may do so but I won't make more test as for the moment. Bottom line is that the data turning off when phone's locked really do help with battery life.
I just got my s7 and use for a week. But the battery of my s7 drain very fast. And I can't use other charger to charge except for the original charger. Anyone has the same problem? Is my battery faulty or is there any fix for tat?
I thought the Elephone s7 didn't come out yet, how did you get it?

Bought mine preorder 3.Nov
This is my fifth day with my S7 runs like a charm except some problems regarding incoming call

When you say drain fast, what do you mean? What screen time are you getting? What's the issue with incoming calls?

I have the S7, 64GB and I also feel the battery drains quite fast. Around 3 Hours screen on time.
Currently trying with disabling the 2nd SIM & also turned the performance setting to low power and but has not made much difference yet.
Also I suspect the "Clear background App" setting/system app is unnecessarily killing apps in the background and causing even more app-restarts. Any way to turn this app off and instead use Greenify ?

I use my s7 five days and it was fine, tonight phablet did not respond to pressing the power button, left display off, I pressed multifunction button to wake up the device, but nothing happened. I attached charger but after an hour of charging phone is always off. I took away the SIM card and SD memory card and charging unit remained, and after another half-hour phone is always turned off and does not start anymore.
for five hours phone is dead but feels heat in the area of the rear camera ... I think the problem started from the battery, because the same area was heated slightly during charging.
I have got the same problem, the battery is running down too fast. I only have used since last 3 days and I have to charge the battery twice every day. Any solution?
Hi,
No troubles here, battery is fine on my 3G/16G.
Do you have the problem when the phone is as new and wiped out clean from the recovery ?
Can you try this withouth installing anything ?
Best regards
For me, at the end of the day, about 40% of battery left.
I turn the battery pref into low performance, and no problem for my use
I am a light user and I get only 8 to 10 hours with the S7.
I recharged from 12% to 44% in less than 20 minutes, but it seems to empty just as fast.
I have heard that you should let it run down, till it shuts down and then recharge it and that helps the battery life
i have exactly the same problem .. no answer from elephone

I had same problem with S7 Mini, turned out it was 'Play Services'
Check this link for details. https://forum.xda-developers.com/elephone-s7/help/elephone-s7-mini-terrible-battery-drain-t3560035
Try this.. Go to settings, clear background application,, check all the apps as whitelist. It turns out the phone usually clear background applications, its logic to save battery is by shutting off every app which is running in background, but by doing this, the processor will work harder to bring up every apps back to work which means more energy more energy consumptions.
And turn of your finger print scanner. I did these and got my discharge rate 1%/h in standby.

What about the Intelligent battery saving" toggle under battery settings.
I've left it on for now
I switch it on.
Yesterday i got 1 day and 10 hours battery with 3 hours screen on time, it was 17% just before i recharge it. Low power mode

i did the suggestions but i also found my main culprit was risilo Sync the new name for btsync over night with no WiFi it used 21% battery. Turned off the wake check in settings and added it to greenify.
