is the guide/iolite equipped with an accelerometer so that when the device is turned sideways the screen will move into landscape mode?
There is no G-sensor in this device.

My SPV M5000 sets the screen orientation correctly depending on how the screen is swivelled. This works fine.
However, I have a landscape holder in my car which grips the phone with it open in the portait orientation. ie, phone is in portait mode but sits on its edge (USB downwards to charge).
Is there a way that I can tell it that if its in portrait AND being charged to rotate the screen appropriately.
Thanks
Ross
Join the club,
You can use PhoneAlarm. It can automatically detect ChargingOnly mode and rotate the screen to Landscape for you.
I do not use PhoneAlarm to save RAM, instead I made a shortcut with wisbar to easily rotate the screen.
Hi,
I have the same config for the car holder of my Universal. For rotating screen properly, I use PocketZenPhone 6.0. I have configured a profile called car wich rotate screen in the right orientation and activate BTheadset on call. But I have to activate this profile by pushing screen, hardware button or voicecommand or programming on calendar...not working automaticaly...
I configured another profile called navigation wich activate bt for gps mouse, choose the right orientation and...launch TT5.21 on one click...
Hi, a few days ago I noticed than when I'm holding my Dell Streak in portrait mode, the compass is completely off. When in landscape mode, it's spot on.
I understand that the Streak is designed as a landscape device, but is there any way to "recalibrate" my compass so it's correct in portrait?
I just got a hold of a mytouch 3g with a defective accelerometer (due to water damage) and wont adjust orientation according to the way im holding the phone. its stuck in portrait view all the time and was wondering if there's a means to:
A. Toggle between landscape and portrait mode (with an app)
B. Emulate the accelerometer to report the necessary values to keep the phone in landscape mode, so i can simply toggle rotate to switch between the modes
C. Re-calibrate the accelerometer in such a manner to keep the phone in landscape mode and toggle rotate setting when needed.
Iv done some searching in regards to the matter. I have not come across any (usefull) apps that will manually rotate modes, nor have i found any workarounds. I have CM 6.1 rc1 installed on the phone. Id be grateful for any help. Thanks.
EDIT:
the phone is out of warranty, and iv trouble shot the accelerometer fully (cleared settings via recovery bla bla)
Hi
i have the same problem - have you found anything to solve it.
Thanks
I am trying to play a game on my android phone that is connected my tv via mhl to hdmi adapter. However, the game appears rotated 90 degrees on my TV screen. I believe that is because the developer decided to lock the orientation in portrait mode and then program the graphics and controls as if the user was looking at the screen in landscape mode. Is there anyway to tell the HDMI adapter that the phone is actually in landscape mode even though it was set portrait mode? Thank you for any suggestions.
Hello my dearest friends, instead of auto rotation not working, I'm having a different issue on this S4, everytime I put the phone in landscape mode, it turns upside down from the angle I turned (eg. I turn the phone 270º and it turns the screen 90º). When I rotate to landscape mode, the only way to return to 0º is turning the phone upside down (like if 0º is on the top of the earphone speaker, not on the bottom)
I thinks this is related to Gyroscope sensor with problem, but since it's still working, but just can't rotate correctly, I was thinking, SINCE I'M ROOTED on LOLLIPOP, if isn't there a workaround for this issue by inverting the Gyroscopic sensors using xposed module or some other software (I even tried to edit build.prop but the line supposed to be there wasn't found)
Thanks in advance!
