Hello,
I am getting funny fonts off my media panel when playing songs with a Japanese name. Is there a fix for this? I don’t have a problem with Window Media Player or File explorer.
i think you have to install UNICODE system fonts
if ASCI font weight about 100kbyte, unicode about 1500kb...
google it )

1. Changing font style is not so straight forward (I assume you want to change the font not just the size - size is changed in settings\system\screen) - find the font you want and rename it tahoma.ttf and tahomabd.ttf and copy and paste into \windows directory on device using total commander or gsfinder file explorers, then soft reset.
You can also fiddle with the fonts with pocket tweak - enclosed
2. Media player skins - the skins are not software just files with images - see here http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=58398&highlight=
3. Dialers - try http://www.zombienexus.net/portal/ dialers are just images overwriting the default ones - so not really software.
p.s. when pocket tweak installs its found in settings not programs
thanks so much im going to have fun with my QTEK and skins
Help
I changed the font following your instruction but it seems just become messy LOL
I renamed the font i like and I used total commander to copy in windows....now the problem is the font I used cannot correctly shown on PPC and it seems to read Arabian....in addition dunno why the fonts affect only some menu not all im quite confused on whats going on
ok i fomratted and use Pocket tweak but it chages all the fonts Except the today screen...why?
thanks Giordano

lol - told you it was not easy - pocket tweak only changes some of the fonts so not good for total change. If you want everything in arabic - then you need to use an arabic rom. I had success changing tahoma font to georgia font using method described. Perhaps you will have to try a few different fonts to get a nice effect. Remember you will need normal and bold versions of the font to make the change.
Do you always have to use a third party program to change the font style in WM5??
What is the Font option in the Settings/System menu for??

Changing The System Font
I haven't found a way to change the global system font (except replacing the tahoma.ttf and tahomabd.ttf files with a renamed version of the font you want). But it is possible to change some UI font by changing the "Nm" value in the following keys:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\GDI\SYSFNT\ - Treeview and Listview items
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\GWE\Menu\BarFnt\ - Menu text (on the bar itself)
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\GWE\Menu\PopFnt\ - Menu items text
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\GWE\OOMFnt\Nm "Abadi MT Condensed Light" (In my case - this font renders interesting results in Contacts and Calendar, where bold characters appear in many fields. Easy to read, and small width.)

I think you didn't understand it.
it's font rendering, such as microsoft's cleartype, it's not relative to font...
thanks all the same...

Hello Guys;
My dad got the S5 and he increased the font size to the max but when going to the default music player the song list font is regular. The setting menu text is large but not the song list titles. Is there to increase the font size or is there a music player that offers large font sizes?
Appreciate the help.
