anyone using ms voice command with 6.5? hows it working for you? does it speak out sms/email and callers?
I have also installed this program. But it doesn't work. It is enabled. I have reset the Xperia. But nothing.
I think MS Voice Command isn't compatible with win6.5?
WM6.5 is reportedly going to have a new voice technology integrated with it called Tell Me.

CHEERS MATE now we just have to find the a cab for this.....
Seems to work for me, I'm running a ROM provided on these boards based on 6.5 and R3A fw.
Announcing incoming calls does not work, but it didn't work when I was running 6.1 either.
But I have Voice Command bound to the right hardware key and it works the same as it always has.
can you get into your settings for voice command? if no- then its not working for you as well mate, the basic feature seems to work, but on any rom 6.5 i try it with i can not get it to announce sms/email/caller id or even get into the settings for voice command...
Hey man, I see what you're saying now... however I WAS able to open up the VC settings but as I said earlier, despite having the proper settings, VC does not announce incoming calls, which also didn't work for me in Win 6.1.
I have the WM6.5 gtrab ROM and MSVC. Everything appears to be working fine for me including making changes to settings. The Voice Command settings should be located in Settings->Personal.

Hi!
Anyone has tried the above voicedial programs? Which is the best in terms of name recognition accuracy?
Lets talk about the LATEST version, MSVC v1.5 vs Fonix VoiceDial v2.0 Vito VoiceDialer v3.5, ok?
Thanks
You should also include Cyberon Voice Commander. Its a great program since you train it to recognize your own voice along with your unique accents or intonations. And it also opens programs.

I would definately reccomend staying AWAY from MSVC v1.5..
I purchased retail CD and install on my device. While the software itself seems to work as advertised- I have problems with MS Voice Command DISABLING other features on my device:
I have made multiple calls to Microsoft Tech Support- and they acknowladge my problems are due to the voice command software- but have no fix available...
Specifically, If I have MSVC installed on my device, My bluetooth radio CANNOT turn on, due to a bug/software glitch in MSVC.
I have tried the FONIX software free trial and worked freat- AND my bluetooth radio was not affected!!
Microsoft refuses to refund my defective software and of course the retail store will not accept open software for refund...
So do to Microsoft Software Bug, I am out nearly $50.00 US.
Good luck 2 all!!

babj615,
MSVC v1.5 has no problem working on my O2 XDA II and has no conflict with any of my programs so far.
On the contrary, Fonix's name recognition is worse than MSVC. Also, you've to shout rather loud into the mic for Fonix to recognize a name. I say you should stay from Fonix instead.
Microsoft voice command 1.5 works
Good experience with MS Voice Command so far.
No problems interfering with other apps; pretty good voice recognition.
Only one problem VC does not seem to work when some other apps are opened.

It's fine for me - so long as you turn on AGC in the settings... else it can't hear you (bless it).
okay, the normal voice speed dial that comes with my Mogul, the sprint one, works wonders in that unlike voice commander and the default windows dialer app it actually recognizes my voice. Unfortunately since switching to a custom firmware (My boyfriend installed it using the one from ppckitchen.org) I can't use that as it's not an option. I don't want to give up the nice features of this early windows mobile 6.1 rom and custom features etc, I was wondering if there was a custom rom that had the sprint voice speed dialer app?
the dcd 3.0.1 kitchen has that cyberion voice app in there, u just have to check the box when cooking the rom so it adds it to the rom...however i prefer the microsoft voice command cause i don't have to preprogram my contacts or anything and it just knows what i'm saying, are you talking about the same software?
... Okay, it appears Cyberion's Voice Commander and Cyberion's Voice Speed Dial work totally different, which now has me confused, I'll try DCD's kitchen as I haven't given it a go yet.
i found an awesome voice command program for all windows moblie phones. It was designed on a WM 5 verison. i tired it on my X1, it worked well, i could use all functions like calling a contact, starting up and app, finding out my next appointment and so on but just giving simple voice requests and the it use to reply back. the only problem was that when i recieved a call..the voice would not work (as its suppose to tell me who's calling).
does anyone know of a full voice command program fully compatiable on the X1 as this one works brillantly on HTC's and omnia's but not the X1.
Please let me know how it works or if anyone knows of a better voice command program for the X1 or WM6.1 specifically. thanks.
Care to share the name of that "awesome voice command program for all windows moblie phones"?
They are talking about Microsoft's Voice Command. The issue of not announcing incoming calls is well known on the X1 and, as far as I know, there is not fix for it.
Sadly, while other companies have tried to implement voice control software of their own, they are never quite as good as Microsoft's version.
OMG giefv plx !!!
wait a second, i feel a disturbance in the search function
thanks for the replies..it is the Microsoft voice command. but i did some research on it now and yes the incoming call annoucements are an issue on the X1. also after i installed the MSVC..my screen started flickering non-stop even after a soft-reset. i had to unistall it and reset..after 4 restarts it worked fine again.
its an awesome program if it worked 100%!!
ive used MVC for a while now on my x1, its cool i have it set up on right hardware button. Best feature for me is it reads text messages outloud ( turn sms ringtone off) great program
I search a lot for a simple voice recognition software just to call people, but I have found nothing...lots of people say that a software like this cannot works on WM devices because of low CPU power of ours PDAs, but I do not agree with these people, and I explain you why.
I have a parrot bluetooth hands-free car kit and with its small CPU, it can recognise the name I want to call, and I do not have to pre-register each name, it simply recognise my voice when I want call someone. I do not understand why all ours powerfull PDA cannot handle a work like this...
Microsoft Voice Command 1.6 works fine for this..

but it works only for english people, while parrot has made other languages version because it recognise my italian contact...I tried MSVC, it works, but I have to guess how an english person would say my contacts name in english...and in this way it is not usable
Anyone ported this yet its soooo badly needed =[ cant believe ipod 3gs and blackberries both have this functionality but diamond doesn't!! anyone know of an app that can do this?
as you can see on the website http://www.vlingo.com/ there is a beta test for win mobile
if you looked closely would see is for only selected windows mobiles, not for diamond, does not allow install ^^
I'm just wondering whats the difference between vlingo and other voice to action software that is already available for WinMo?
Such as:
Cyberon Voice Speed Dial
Microsoft Voice Command
because they are both basic and dull for instance windows voice command can do the odd task taking you to some application or opening up your contacts but vlingo is allot more intelligent.. so you could say "text david, hello i will be there soon" and it will write a text saying that to david... its awesome =]

Probably the difference is that Vlingo is more shiny like everything for iPhone.
