Hey I found something in a german forum,
i´ve tested it and i can say it works great
http://www.ppc-welt.info/community/showpost.php?p=1217332&postcount=1
In english:
1. HKCU\Software\HTC\Manila -> add a new String Value with the name "EnableLandscape" and the value "true" (both without "")
2. HKCU\Software\HTC\HTCSENSOR\GSensor\ModuleName -> add a new String Value with the name "TF3D" and the value "\Windows\manila.exe" (both without "")
3. HKCU\Software\HTC\HTCSENSOR\GSensor\WhiteList -> add a new String Value: Name: "TF3D Value: "Manila" (both without "")
do a softreset and its done
There are more Apps, which you can use:
see this thread
yepp! can confirm, works fine on my D2 too!

Works fine on my TD2, but only on 270 degrees. It's not a problem. I hope it's not as sensitive as the TD with its additional softwares. Thank you!

Only attempt to rotate - Start button and bar on the top, and Phone and Camera titles on the bottom will rotate and then immediately rotate back without movin' phone
Rotation is OK. My question is: Is it possible to have landscape on the other side (if this is 270 degrees I wont landscape on 90 degrees). I think this can be done changing some registry value. But which?

u need to activate Landscape for TF3D by adding this new StringValue to registry:
"HKCU\Software\HTC\Manila"
"EnableLandscape=true"
or u can just use this cab created by Moritz(thanks man!)

its there on Tmobile Ameo ROM, and seems to be a standard WM5 reg setting since i got the info from an old WM5 site explaining how to get pictures bigger in the background on WM5 devices.
if your provider has removed it, try adding it

As apd said for the automatic rotation you can use Gyrator or GSen. Otherwise with this you can start your app and then manually rotate the screen from the control panel.
just tried this and it says "access denied" when i edit the value data and change the 1 to 0
am i missing something?
Steve
used resco regedit ... works!
wow. This is really nice. Thanks! now I don't need the gyrator!
I can find nothing new after manipulating the registry.
Where can i exactly find the option in control panel?
In the Screen menu. If you still can't see the option, try a soft reset.
excellent find. thnx for sharing!
any program to change that or a cab file ??
thanks
Ill try this on the diamond to see if it works.
I wish I could try it with the demo phone @ the store (touch HD) before buying it.
I tried the registry edit on the demo Touch HD at the store.
The problem is that it keeps reverting back to portrait mode after accessing the phone menu.
So it will remain perfectly in landscape mode till I try to enter a phone number.
The phone menu is vertical, then it remains vertical.
Any info?
thanks.

Um... I won't be of much help here, because I don't know how it was done, but i heard it was possible. So keep searching .
Start->Settings->System(Tab)->Screen->General(Tab) Screen Orientation Portrait/Landscape Dunno if permanent until you change it.
Yes, it's possible using mortscript. Then one would wonder, why would you want that?
Easy thing:
Get Schaps Advanced Config tool. Go to the setting where you can set the display orientation. Set 270 degrees to "True", 0, 90, 180 to "False".
The slideout will no longer rotate back to portrait now.
Keep in mind that other tools (AEButton, QuickMenu) can still rotate the screen if they want.

Hey All,
I just got my phone this friday and installed tomtom 7on it.
It works nice & fast for those who want to know... But how can I get it into landscape?
I read on internet that you need to put your phone in landscape modus before starting up tomtom but that doesn't work (rotating doesn't help)
So what I also read is that you can assign a button to force rotation... But well I can't find the settings... Any help?

Use a 3th party gsensor app.
Add TomTom in it, and allow it to go landscape when putting the phone in landscape.
Hmm sorry for being noobish (this is my first windows mobile phone), but where can I find that specific G-Sensor app, I googled but all I can find are some silly G-Sensor games etc...

Does it work in the HD2, or do you have it running on a different model ?
I use Change Screen on my Diamond.
You can set TomTom to ONLY work in landscape mode, so when you start the app, it then rotates to landscape, and will not flip to portrait and back again when you go round a corner a bit fast.

Running on my new hd2 ofcourse
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=347705
I used that and assigned it to the answer call button (did this by changing the button settings).
I just hold it down for a few secs and it rotates manually, hold down again and it goes back to normal! I prefer this than using the gsensor

Yup. If you're a memory freak like me and doesnt want to install unnecessary cabs running in the background when HTC already has a rotate function, i suggest using what's already there. Holding down for 2sec and voila! landscape. I find all the other rotate programs to be a huge pain (and sometimes dont work at all!) and take up to much RAM. Assigning the <rotate screen> to the call button was the best thing I've ever did.
Leo hardware button
Nice programme, simple, effective. But with al LEO it seems you can not assign hardware buttons to programmes. Or I am I doing something wrong here?
Same here... Found where I can assign the buttons, only no buttons appear so I can't select anything...
The strange thing is that autorotation of tomtom 7.916 worked on the HD out of the box which doesn't work on the HD2. Perhaps the API changed but i hope TomTom / HTC comes with an update to fix this.
Sorry wrong answer. Deleted.
Auto rotation working fine in my Brandnew HTC now.
Found the tips to get it working somewhere else.
Step 1:
Go to the following Registry key:
HKCU\Software\HTC\HTCSENSOR\Gsensor\ModuleName
Add a new STRING Value:
Name: TomTom
Value: \Program Files\navigator\tomtomnavigator.exe (if you have a different language you may need to change Program Files to whatever you have)
Please note that in this case TomTom is installed on the Device, NOT the Storage Card.
Step 2:
Go to the following Registry key:
HKCU\Software\HTC\HTCSENSOR\Gsensor\Whitelist
Add a new STRING Value:
Name: TomTom
Value: MunichWinClass
Now do a Soft Reset, and now when you start TomTom and put your HD2 in Landscape, TomTom will rotate automatically.
Maybe someone can make a cab for this ???
yep i've used that registry fix above and that does get tomtom to auto rotate, better than using a 3rd party app, although if you had bsbtweaks installed you might have been able to get it to auto rotate using that.
Personnaly, I use BsB Tweak to enable landscape on many programs, included TomTom
any Full Landscape + Autoratatoin ROMs
and not just Sence aoutorotations, i mean Everyting,
Sence + WinMo + Dailer all Aoutorotate
or mayebe there a Reg Edits or Cab's to enable aoutoratet on dailer and WinMo ?
yeah i want that also. but they say its just too buggy to be implemented.
i personaly only wish for a Sense (all tabs) and Dialer autorotate
Does BSBTweak work for you?
no, if ROM is not meant and designed for landscape then BSBtweaks will just break it
install flipIt or changescreen, it will do the job.
i have the hd2o rom running since 2 months,
without any problems.
Both apps you are suggesting don't work on HD2.
* Flip it makes the G-Sensor unusable.
* Changescreen you need a stylus.
If you install FlipIT you need to hardreset to fix it.

Back on to the topic:
ok there is obviusly a way to get Dailer in landscape, so where is the cab for it ?
There is a simple way actually, which I didnt see posted in many places, so here it goes:
With a Registry Editor go to the subkey:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\HTCSENSOR\GSensor\Whitelist]
Insert a new STRING value.
Give it a name as "Dialog" (without the " )
Make the value equal to "Dialog" (without the " )
SOFT-RESET
Voila !
