How to reset simlock counter HD Leo

Hi everyony,
I'd like to ask for help. I couldn't find any answer on this forum.
Is there any way to reset the simlock counter in HTC Touch HD2 (Leo) ?
I have tried 5 times. I have now the right sim unlock code form my operator and I'm not able to use it.
Please advise. Thank you.

No, this is a security feature on the sim card. Your sim card is locked and therefore you will need to contact your provider.
If you have set up your online account, you can get your sim unlock code from there. However if you have entered your sim unlock code incorrectly 3 times, you sim will be permantly blocked - you will need a new sim card. Give voda a call - it may be possible to unblock with a PUK2 code.

What is the default PUK2 or PIN2? I've only got a few attempts left before my phone self detonates?!

No, I've got the PUK (your provider can give you this - it's usually printed on the gubbins that came with your sim card). I'm missing the default PUK2 or PIN2 which came with the handset to let me set security prefs. Anyone?

MDJ CM 7 NAND Gingerbread - can I GSM unlock the phone while under Android?

I installed on NAND MDJ and forgot to GSM unlock the phone while I still had WM 6.5. I am obtaining free code from my carrier (TmoUS) but not sure if it's going to work under Android - did anyone try this and did it work?
I plan to put in AT&T sim card in and type in the code - question is: will it work?

It should already be unlocked. Try an AT&T SIM and find out.

Tried with foreign SIM Card and it was requesting the code to be typed in. At least now I know that code I get from T-Mobile will work.

Here is an update on this matter:
I received an unlocking code from T-Mobile via e-mail but waited until I put in other carrier SIM Card... I went to EU and put in SIM Card from other carrier when Android asked me for unlocking SIM GSM code...
1. I clicked to type in number and got keyboard to open up but it would not register any typing I did...
2. I reseted the device and then asked again for the GSM unlocking code - I did not try it there but clicked to skip it...
3. I got into the Android without being registered on the network...
4. Then I tried to call a number and it asked me for unlocking GSM code -
This time I was able to type in the numbers as the keyboard that popped out was only containing numbers (like dialer) and not full keyboard.
Everything worked just fine there and I am now back to US - where everything works fine as well

may i know what company network card were you trying to use? i'm just curious, thanks

It was Serbian Telekom mt:s SIM Card (066 - post paid).

dell send me the unlock code but i don't no how to unlock,
can any one help me i tried using a local sim card but it is not asking for unlock code.
it says invalid sim,

put in a sim card from another carrier. Does not have to be live....a dead sim is fine. you will be prompted for the code.

Make sure to put a GSM carrier SIM.

i did that but it does not prompted for the unlock code .

Maybe its unlocked. Did u buy it from Dell or someone else.?

Its got to be a GSM sim from a different carrier.....same carrier sim will not generate the prompt......
and of course...like notebook said...maybe its unlocked

i tried using AT&T sim also it says "SIM error, the sim card is missing or invalid. you can still make emergency calls if your service provider supports it.".
i used many other sim local sim cards but still its coming the same messgae.
help??

Does the DVP read the sim card from the network its locked to? It might be a SIM reader error. That error message is usually thrown when it's not sensing a SIM card.

i went the EM menu RD test > went SIM LOCK> when i press button it says ERROE 213,
what is this,??

How do i put my PUK code ? I typed 3 times wrong my PIN and the phone just locked himself. I have my PUK but don´t appear nothing to insert it.

How to unlock without a sim?

I called my phone company and they gave me the unlock code. But in order to use it i need a sim from another company, which i dont have.
Is there any way to use the unlock code without having to get a new sim card?
