hae im a new user of elf... with wm6.1..calculator in this is so ugly..is there any way to upgrade the calculator interface alone...thanks
Well, there's quite a few calculator applications out there that thwart the original Calculator. I personally recommend 1-Calc -> http://www.omegaone.com/calc/ppc/ , mainly for its built-in tip calculator which is a great use when out eating.
another option is the hicalc, IMHO better than 1calc

Hello all...
I used POCKET facelift 1.7 on my XDA 1, loved it etc.. but now with my XDA 2 it has loads of bugs etc and it seems they are not planning to get it fixed for 2003 that quick either..
Are there simliar programs which work fine with the XDA 2 ?
I prefer to have full screen themes
Ok thanxs already!!

DvL
yes! Dashboard, very fast with no bugs I use it with Dashmobile skin from wincustomize.com
true
dashboard is ok.. but you need to install wisbar also to get a fullscreen feeling..
pocketfacelift is a program that does both..
i am looking for somthing similar to that.. no use to have 2 apps if you only need 1
Well since PocketBlinds and Wisbar advance does not display the notifications I prefer to use Omega One Battery Pack which includes a very nifty close (and minimize) button, however it does not skin the taskbar, which again I think is good...

Rayan
i prefer dashboard (beta 2045 for wm2003) as wisbar doesn't suport phone features, and pocketblinds doesn't support wm2003 yet. Seems to work really well and is easy to customize with skins and shortcuts
...Now I'm trying SBP's Pocket Plus, since I noticed that my Caller ID Monitor was not functioning and I found that Omega One's Battery Pack Close Button did not liked it... Also SBP's much quicker and responsive.
So far I think SBP Pocket Plus is a much better closer app.
We'll see...

Rayan
I'm looking for a good professional calculator wich i can use on the universal in landscape and in normal mode.
THX
1Calc
1Calc is pretty good but slow to start up. It works well in portrait or landscape.
Skins are available.
Lots of features.
Works much faster from memory than a card and if you turn the scroll feature off.
Have a look at SpaceTime 2.0. It is professional and not only a calculator.

I like Lygea products. I use Pocket 15C SE which is an HP 15C emulator. You may prefer the 12C version or the 10B if you're more in to the financial or business needs.
I like RDCalc too but it does not support landscape.
Another alternative is Calc98 at http://www.calculator.org/download.html. It is fast and free and has many, many functions.

I'm using PocketCalc, below, for my QTEK9000

OK, just changed to HiCalc, here:-

Pls., recommend a simple good looking in VGA mode calculator.
The installed one doesn't look good. I have also tried 1-Calc of Omegaone, but in VGA mode it doesn't strech itself.

I use Calc98 by Flow Simulation. Requires tweaking the view settings to enlarge the keybord, but it ends up being very finger-friendly. I can supply the settings I use if anyone wants them.
I am long-time used of HP12C - the World's best ever calculator for finance geeks like me. Thankfully it is also available in WM land - called Pocket 12C SE
Robert
I use HiCalc. It has diferent modes and VGA friendly, even works with Real VGA at 96 dpi.
Yea HiCalc has my vote too, it comes with loads of applications, currency converter, units converter to your hearth content..loads, and looks OK in VGA
After some extensive search and trials, I had chosen HiCalc. If anyone has tried it but chosrn a different calculator, I'd been interested to know. I'm open minded to even better ones.
I am trying to find the best program or theme to make my Sprint Touch more like the iPhone. I like the large icons and easy finger access like the iPhone has. Right now I use Wisbar Advance 3 for a better taskbar, but I don't like using my stylus all the time.
I see there are a lot of choices to make my Sprint Touch like the iPhone, but which is the best.
You have Wisbar Advance Desktop (itorx iphone theme). You have iFonz (but 1.00 has some problems). I think rltoday program. There is Winterface from Vito technology, looks promising, but it is incomplete. There is SPB mobile shell 2.1, but it is not really like the iphone, plus I just didn't like it.
What do you think? I am missing another theme or program. What do you think will work best on the Touch?
truthfully ifonz is the best iphone clone.
try 0.9.9 i didnt have any problems with that one.
or try throttle launcher. not iphone looking at all but very finger friendly, or at least for me it.
PointUI Home.
check out Itask. It work's great. Comes with several programs and great sub menus easy to access info. Works with flash lite.
When I first got my Touch I spent hours trying to customize iPhone-like programs, most are too slow and the good ones like iTask are hard to customize and last I checked not updated at all.
I preference for a superior interface is the Spb Mobile Shell 2.1 with the littlerain's Windows 7 skin. It's finger friendly and easy to use interface, in some ways a bit better than the iPhone's interface. Just my preference, there are tons of skins even one's that make it look like the new HTC Diamond.
ifonz
ifonze is nice but it takes some time to set up and is slow to respond. there is an htc customizer that is also nice using std oem rom. Both can work at the same time. I still have hope for ifonze but the usefulness is fading fast with the slow response and tedious set up.
I find the built in calculator of very poor quality.
Where can i find a replacement?
I've found PocketCalc to be the best one, although it's not full screen (only VGA)
Have a look at iss Calculator Suite. It handles WVGA as well.
You may use manila vga skin if u want to change look. it looks much better.
i use the hp48 calc emulator it's great
Being an Engineer, I love my HP calculators!!!
Here is another HP calc by CreativeCreek
