I have a very serious reguest to ask of all the good programmers and chefs on XDA site.
I am what you would call a power user of my Hermes aswell as my PC and am always looking for the best and easy to use apps for my PDA. One of the apps I would love to use more is my windows mobile office package but due to the lack of integraty between PC office and PDA office I refrain from using my PDA office. Examples is the lack of formulas in PDA office in compareson to PC office. I have searched the web for better office Apps but the cost a fortune, Example is SoftMakers Office... approx 66 Pounds.
Is there anyone who could help me and other Office users by programming a more transparent office for PDA?
And does anyone know if there are programs like GNU Octave that can be run on PPC since I am an engineering student and would love to have these tools in my pocket.
Any help in to this respect would be greatly appreciated.
P.S. I would like to thank all the people whoe have allready made my PDA experience enjoyable, My favourate roms : CRC, TNT(although it has been discontinued, Josh Manila ect... Thank you all very much
Update on this post: For those users that are fimiliar with Matlab or any similar programming language, Try out the LME application for your PDA, It works beautifully.

Any body have any other recommendations or shend light on which is the BEST HANDS DOWN !

Avvenu is really good and free... In addition logmein can be used which is a decent piece of software IMO
Why not use terminal services that comes with your PPC? I use it all the time and it works perfectly. You can even get a VGA version of the client on these forums.
Hi and Good day to all Rom developers out there.
I am Elijah Kok and from Malaysia. My company is looking for
Rom Programmers who can develop customise Rom Program
for customise Pocket PC.
Which means we will design the hardware and the Rom developers
will design the software to run the Pocket PC.
Take Skype Phone as an example.
If interested, please to reply to this posting. My apologies, but only
those who are seriously interested need to reply to this posting.
Hi,
I used to develop apps for WM5 using Appforge Crossfire, using the BASIC language.
For personal reasons I abandoned the Windows Mobile platform for some time. Now I'm back with an HTC Touch and...Appforge is gone! Sold to Oracle...
If someone can poit me to a different solution (developing for the Touch using the BASIC language) or to a place where I can download the client portion of the old Appforge that will work in the Touch...
I would be VERY happy!
Mabe I will even cry...I still have the Appforge licensed development envoirement installed in my computer (paid high cash for it)...but no client for my new device!
Please help!
Thanks
Tunico
guess if you must use basic you can use old embedded vs basic
or better yet basic .net
Contains links to forums with users working on fixes after being left high and dry when Appforge went belly-up:

Good luck.
Maybe NSBasic can help? It works on desktop or mobile, it is quite simple.
Thanks you all for the help.
I just dowloaded NSBasic/CE and wrote simple test app. Everything works!
My trial version wil last 30 days...then $$ time...
Thanks again

Hey all!
I don't know if this is the right place to post, but I hope u don't mind
Is there any possibility to use ones PDA-Touchscreen to paint/draw something on the Desktop-PC in realtime?
Thought about it as I saw a Tablet which was designed to make drawings on your PC...
I think these Tablets use something like a Touchscreen and send everything through the USB-Cable, so technically there should be a possibility to do the same with a PDA, or am I totally mistaken?
If there is some developed software already I would be very thankful if someone would post a link!
Your,
Mick

thats a pretty hard to read document (needs clearer headings and bold type etc) with no real conclusion could you summerise what you found to be the best/worst of the lot?
:edit: ignore, found your blog with a better formatted, infinitely easier to read version.
although if you could post your opinions on which is best that would be good
Hi guys, i want to ask if there's anyone have pocket calculus software or any Pocket software for school for windows mobile. My phone is htc 8525 wm6. thank you very muchh.
Check these out!
There are some great applications out there that should fit your calculus solving needs.
Check out Virtual TI Pocket Emulator version 2.4B. I use it for Calculus and physics all the time and it's almost rock solid. Sometimes when punching in numbers, it hangs but otherwise it emulates my TI-89 extremely well. The only things that might be a bit difficult to find are the ROMs, but you can dump one from your own calculator if you have the data cable.
1-Calc lite is decent as well, but is lacking in some of the advanced features that you might like such as graphing and derivatives.
Let us know here how well those work for you
The BEST solution for calculas, graphing or anything similar is Spacetime... although it isnt free... but google it n check it out.
thank you very much guys
