HI all,
we are developing applications for Windows Mobile phones and would like to know whether there is any interface in order to access the MANILA sound manager?
Somehow it is tricky to access the HW Volume button behaviour on these devices.
Any hint is highly appreciated.

I have an hp ipaq RX 5915 with wm5. It has 7 buttons and a d-pad. When I try to map the buttons, only 4 of the 7 show up. Ideally I want to be able to use something like Vito Buttonmapper, but Vito only recognizes the 4 buttons. Is there a registry setting I can change to have my pocket pc recognize those buttons in the buttons settings section?
I have searched this forum, but couldn't find an answer. I appreciate any help.
Thanks!
There is button enhancer and mapping bible by Menneisyys. Hopefully you will find something that will work for you there.
Buttons are mapped by the following registry entries:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shell\Keys\40Cx
(Probably after modifying these entries a reboot of the device is required to effect changes)
Try Hbutton , it allows you to asign more than one app to a button.
It's pretty powerful, I have 4 apps per button.
Dear all,
a week ago I got my "new" toy, a Medion MDSP150 (better known as Sagem mys-7).
A nice device with Windows Mobile 2003 for smartphones, with external navigation. I changed the navigation software and found that the power management did not work well with the new navi software.
The display timeout set in the power management of the phone overrides the display settings of the navi software, so the display turn off during navigation. Annoying.
As it is also not very conveniant to change the power settings of the phone before using the navigation I started looking for a solution.
There are in fact two ways to look at.
First you can write a software that changes the power management keys in the registry to "display allways on", starts the navi software and changes the registry keys back after exiting the navi software.
Second you can disable the smartphone power management so the display will be always on and write a software that is assigned to a key that turns the display off.
I found several possible solutions on the net, but non did work for my device.
So I wrote a displayoff.exe and post it here, for those who can use it.
The cab file installs to %install% and creates a shortcut. The best way to use it is to use the great freeware "Right.Tweaker" and assign displayoff.exe to the right key. Works great for me.
Screenshot of Right.Tweak and DisplayOff cab file attached.
Have fun ...

Hello
Did anyone manage to get the control keys of the headphone to work with coreplayer?
I don't use Htc sense I use Spb shell and I wish if the control keys would work with coreplayer.
ALso the home button in our leo can it be adjusted to bring home screen of spb shell?
Thanks in advance
someone tried this and can give us some advice here please
have you tried setting up the htc WMP control plugin under options --> WMP UI plugins ?
Thank you my dear friend for your reply
I checked the box beside htc wmp plug in but still whenever i press the play key from the headphone it brings up wmp
I'm using a non-htc smartphone, and this wm6.1 device has no hard key to set system volume.
So I want someone tell me in what meanings can call the system volume control interface out. Just like the image below.
I try to using Rundll32 to run commctrl.dll and telshell.exe,but failed,because I don't know the parameters.
Thanks in advanced.
Hi,
on the X2 there is no "Buttons" app in the personal Settings Menu as usual found on like any other Windows Mobile Phone i ever used.
I tried the Vito Button Mapper 4.0 which is rather old and doesn't seem to work.
I want to remap the "Panels" Hardware Button to open the Start Menu instead, since I ripped the Panels off (with the SEUS-Method as described in ROM Development).
I bet this can be done via Registry somewhere, or anybody knows an app able to config the Buttons?
Thanks
After some hours of searching and trying i found the tool "AE Button Plus".
It's not free and not my first choice, since it's a memory resident app running in the background and hooking keys. Supports hold and multiple click stuff too.
I would prefer tweaking it via registry, but can't figure out how.
The key would be:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Keys]
Under this, the folders represent the buttons, but only two to be found on the X2 and I wasn't able to change them successfully. If anyone could figure this out, I'd be happy!
