Hi, i just installed beta of Opera 9.5, but when i go to programs, now i see 2 opera, Opera Browser and Opera 9.5 Beta
how can i delete the browser one? please help !!!

don't need to, just use the new one by clicking on its shortcut.
mate.. i WANT to delete it, i know i dont need... but its quite annoying seeing 2 icons on my Program Panel...
just because opera browser doesnt work... i click on it and nothing happens..

Open WIndows folder with Fileexplorer, then Open folder Startmenu, then Programs and delete the one you don't want.

Obviously beta, very good ui!
The feel of the program is very good. Cant wait until the release of 9.5.
a bit slow but feels great and the ui rocks too! with double tap on the screen you can zoom in or out!
love it - v9.5 should be good. I don't think it is slow
but this version seems to be for vga screens - all of the controls are huge. or is that just me?

The icons are big for me too.
Also can't see it in 'Remove Programs' - oh dear!
The icons do appear to be in vga but if you press and hold on a webpage you can select to switch to landscape and all the buttons are visible - settings, transfers etc. I find it very useable even with the big icons as it automatically returns to fullscreen thereby hiding all icons.
its rubish if u ask me there is no uninstall and im now having to re flash my hermes to stop opera from opening every .cab i put on my phone!
i can understand it a beta but ive never had this problem with other opera software...
can anyone figure out a way to uninstall this. i don't want to hard rest my htc touch
Delete the programm folder, shortcuts and registry data

I told it to install to the storage card, but it looks like it's installed it in program memory anyway

yep same here...
after testing it for about 10 minutes i can say:
1. UI is well made, tabbed browsing is great
2. it's not as responsive and fast as opera mini which is kind of sad
3. as described it seems to be vor vga only, so it looks kinda odd...
4. did you try logging in into some site? it will allways put a blank in between two letters. i can't log in into anything with this browser
still, better than netfront. then again, i think i'll stick to opera mini 4

... there are surely some glitches, since i just shrunk the files in 50% of their size with irfanview

lol guess you were too greedy - always wanted the lastest build. may be try to uninstall the opera you added, to see if the old opera comes back.

nope! still did not work.maybe i'm doing something wrong.if i select the operaL.exe it opens but from the internet tab through touch flow when i click browse nothing happens.maybe its not finding the file! i'm not sure.hummmm

still not getting my opera to lunch.I downloaded the original opera files from here.placed them in the opera9 folder located in device/window etc.it would lunch from there but not the browser tab in touch flow.its driving me nuts!!! and I hate using internet explorer!lol ;o

if operaL launches but tf3d doesn't, the problem is tf3d, not opera. install manila patcher (find it searching for SSMaPa). Init it: you don't need to patch anything, but you can see if something else has been connected with the globe in internet tab. If so, you can always re-enable opera via SSMaPa.(btw: i too did install last month the new build and then went back to the original, but had no such problems)

Hi guys i have tmobile touch pro 2 and im trying to put my opera browser as default browser but i cannot do that because when i go to opera and settings it wont give me any option to choose put my opera browser to default browser . now if you guys know how can i do that . Because as you guys know internet explorer is sucks and i want opera browser be my default browser . now if you guys can help me out i would be appreciate it .

on my Omnia I used this PopUp Blocker for Opera. http://adnsto.net/other/urlfilter.ini
I just copy this *.ini into the Opera folder and it works. But on my HTC HD2 it doesnt matter where I copy this *.ini to. It doesn't work. Can someone help? Thank you.

No, that doesnt work. I think the problem is, that the HTC has Opera 9.7 in it and not Opera 9.5.
