Hi all!
What is the best image/edit viewer for wm5?
Is ACDSee for pocket pc availabe? Is it works on Jamin?
I can't find it....
resco picture viewer
thats my tip....love this app has a lot of features and good funtionality try the trial version
my choice: XnView Pocket (http://www.xnviewpocket.org/)
awesome application, free
Resco Photo Viewer too.
But XNView Pocket is free
EyePhoto is a Windows Mobile photo viewer that generates a photo album from all photos, pictures and images on your Pocket PC. Watching photos with EyePhoto is very easy - you just slide your finger on the screen to flip through the pages of your photo album. EyePhoto provides very smooth and quick displaying and zooming of jpeg images.
Here's the link: http://iwindowsmobile.com/mobile-photo-viewer.html
So you mean its like Slide2View?
I downloaded the free trial (.exe) but when I run it it says that it is not a valid pocket pc application. A .cab version would be easier.

Open the EXE with WinRAR, in it is a folder called setup and then a folder - files, in there you will find the necessary CAB file, worked for me. Can't see how this is very different to S2V, apart from it not being free. LOL
I install it, but in my S200 it's very slow.
I prefer S2V

Oh cool! Thanks for the info. I'll have to give it a shot when I get home tonight, no WinRAR on the work comp.
i use this app on my mogul.works great.
Its not that much different then S2V BUT, I will say that the transition from pic-pic when sliding is much smoother than any other pic viewing app Ive used. Very iPhone like (& NO, I AM NOT AN iPHONE LOVER) .
tried on my ks20, however it's kinda slow (loading thumbnails) compared to S2V and the picture quality (of the thumbnails and the pictures self) is also bad - looks like non-antialised. Seems they use an other technique as S2V to scale the images.
Positive : they use an cache.
Overall not bad, but I will still use S2V especially considering it's free. I do like file structure screen and a button for landscape changing (instead of gesture) better than S2V, however. I also found it slower than S2V.
Firts time u run the application, it's pretty slow, but the next time when it reads from it's cache, it's very fast. Best image viewer there is at the moment
Yeah, run the program and let it run for awhile. It took about 20 minutes to cache all of my pictures (they're all 3mp+, and about 200 of them), but then the program will fly.
tried the trial then uninstalled
overall not bad
but could be better if it does NOT look for pics in the whole ppc and instead only cache/display those from directories of ones choice ???
hey thanks for than program i install it but the problem its little bit slow so i prefer the normal viewer anyway thanks
Everyone keeps saying it's slow, but you need to give the program a chance to build a cache!
can this view other picture formats besides .jpg?
EyePhoto cache files
Does anyone know how to display the cache files?
I deleted some pictures but saved the cache files to my computer. I tried putting the cache files back on my SD card, but eyephoto compared the actual files to the cache and wiped the cache files out that didn't have a picture.
I tried renaming them to .jpg, .bmp & .gif. No good.
Help please!
try kinoma freeplay / kinoma player
Kinoma Freeplay or Kinoma Player does the job. Will try this nevertheless
No try Chili Photo Slide. It is better than HTC album and does many things
http://www.chilisoftwarehouse.com
slide to view!? never heard, link please
I was puzzled as to why my thumbnail pics in touchflo3D tab were lo-res even though i resized all my pics to 800x480.
However I discovered if you have Resco Photo Viewer installed on your phone, your answers will be solved.
What I did was opened each photo that is currently displayed in my Favourite Album, in Resco Photo Viewer. I tweaked the brightness, colour, contrast to my liking (using the editing feature) and saved over (overwrite) the original photo and lo and behold, it turned instantly hi res in my touchflo3D photos tab.
I did this individually for all of my photos (55). Long one off process but worth it.
Also another tip. The photos are sorted in the touchflo3D tab by modification date so if there are particular photos you want to show first, modify them last. I figured out the order I wanted my photos to be in first and then modified them in the order of last photo to first photo.
This may work with some other ppc app that allows you to modify and resave photos, not just Resco Photo Viewer. Not tried others though.
Finally did you know the tab can also display thumbnails of your videos? Just make sure you have your video files in the same folder as your Favourite Album.
If i disable the Music and Photo Album tab, is it possible to access it from somewhere else ?
For example create a shortcut in the programs tab ?
Just use the file explorer, or try an alternate photo view. There should also be a link to add in album or photos as well
could you please suggest a suitable replacement to the two ?
personally i don't like WM player and the windows album is rather ugly.
I know a lot of people use CorePlayer for music, though I am not one of them. Music tab is good enough for me.
As for photos, I rarely look at photos on my device, so I can't really help you out there...
thanks, i'll take a look at core player
Try Microfi's Nitrogen for Music Playback.....though I'm not sure whether it works on Topaz...I haven't tried....an alha package I tried failed to install, so I left it altogether.... but give it a try...
