But maybe will be released soon the new version.
I don't know.
I have an old version.
Hey everyone,
I have a problem running google maps, it installs fine but everytime i want to run it an error pops up saying that it isn't signed or that a component might be missing. The strange thing is that it was working before when i got the device and installed it and after a hard reset it doesn't anymore. It kinds of bugs me because i use it quite often!
if anyone is able to help me please don't hesitate!
Thanks!
Math
with your mobile, go to http://mobile.htc.com/uk/01_applications.html and download it from there. then it will work again. before doing this, uninstall the installed version.
Thanks, it worked!
Got my google Maps back up and running.
Cheers
Math

I just did the update and now the Maps search Touchflo 2D menu option does nothing. Maps itself is fine. Any ideas how to get the search option to launch Maps again?
Tried soft reset already?

Try installing Google maps to the internal storage, should work then.
However, does anyone know if there's a way to make location tab work even with google maps installed on the card?

Doh! Thanks for that, it works from main memory. It would be nice to have the option to run from card though.

Hi there. The unit I got in Malaysia doesn't come with google maps. The icon on the touchflo is missing. Where would I start if I want this application? Thanks.

True. Sophisticated Google maps capabilities do not work in some locations, Malaysia included. You may need to use M2DC to enable the "Location" tab in TF. See here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=427392

Thanks for the info. Won't waste anymore time searching!
I apologize for being new to this, but how do you use the GPS? All I see is an app that just downloads the position setting?
Would the GPS app work around the world (map wise).?
GPS is used in applications like Google Maps or navigation software like TomTom or Navigon.
For example, start Google Maps and set "Activate GPS" inside the application. Then, your exact postition will be shown on the google map.
Be carefull: gps does not work inside of buildings.
So I need to install google maps on the HD?

On my HD, google maps was a pre-installed default application.. i did not have to install it..
Ok, so I am one of those people that don't have a data plan with their G1.
I was just wondering if it is possible for me to download and cache Google Maps on my microSD card. Since the GPS on my device still works, I could use it and the cached maps to get my location/address/etc.
Anyone know if this is possible?
No, it is not.
you can cache maps with Big Planet
i cant find it in the market

Hi, all
I've been searching these days for an offline GPS navigation software for Wave 3 and found only an outdated NDrive with very old maps.
Is there any decent one?
Thanks
