How about the first Android theming?
I was thinking about that, but I don't know what an "exact" date for that would be. Do you have an estimate I could use?

Alright, got it and added it. Thanks!
PS... this is a real good idea and IMHO should be stickied
This is fantastic, but why not provide links to the primary forum threads for each item so that people like myself who only have the chance to check back once a month can quickly catch up on what we've missed? =]
I think thats a good idea, I also want to be able to color code certain events so its quicker to locate.

Security patches not being pushed.
I upgraded to 7.0 last month and now I'm looking at my security patch date and it was last installed with the August one. I found out they didn't push me the September one and now people are getting the October one. Is there anything I can do to fix the push of security updates? Also, I'm not rooted.

How can I get the latest android security patch?
Hello, I own a SM-N910W8 which unfortunately hasn't received any security updates since May. What are my options on getting a firmware which has the latest October security patch? Can I flash the latest SM-N910T stock firmware? Are there any custom roms which will have the latest security patch? Thanks, Kilree
If i'm not mistaken, Security patch's should update on their own.... When the manufacturer releases them. Google updates monthly, sometimes twice monthly. Samsung, I don't think they care about it tbh. I have June 1st on my note 4 running stock 6.0.1.. I'm about to backdate, then root and Custom Rom. Then from now on i'm buying Direct from Developer. After doing a little research. Oct Patch is being pushed now by Samsung. Even Verizon has it... They are usually the last to get any updates pushed to the public. So check with them, check your OTA. You should be able to update with it. (it's a big one, bug fixes and other stuff for the Note 4 as well. )
Moto G5 Plus Updates
Has this phone received ANY updates? When I run Motorola's update through the Android Settings app, I'm told the phone is up-to-date, but the phone is still running Android 7.0 with a 1/1/17 security patch... is this some kind of joke?
My updates are from September. Not sure what's going on with your updates. You can manually update via fastboot or TWRP if you aren't getting them...

The UK finally got the May security patch a week or so ago and when i asked Moto UK about updates they were a little terse with their answer. I have loved my Moto phones since owning a Moto Defy but i have been looking at Nokia handsets and they seem very good for the money and with the promise of timely updates.
There's a thread in here somewhere with all the firmware links for TWRP. Those are all flashable if you have it. If not, there's another thread with fastboot firmware. Just gotta find which you need and get cracking

Can anyone drop the link to download august build stock rom for xt1686
Hello, thanks for the feedback. 5 months without any security update, that's a lot of time. Mine is on reteu, NPNS25.137-33-11. Just talked to motorolla on the chat and they said that don't know when the next security patch will be available. For a phone that has release last year on February, the support/updates should be more active. A little bit disappointed with that. https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/software-upgrade-news/g_id/1949

Nougat Security Update Instructions
Hi XDA fam. I'm currently running NPH 25.200.22 unlocked and rooted with Majisk since it was released. Work and life has prevented me from keeping up with the update(s) that have come out since then. However, there was a thread put out a while back in the General forum that provided the instructions to update that came out after 25.200.22. I have been having a hard time finding this thread (don't know if it was deleted or not) and the search function isn't helping. Does anyone recollect the title or can point me to the instructions to flash (dirty) the OTA? I really don't want to go through the process of wiping the phone and putting on the firmware. I appreciate the help.
I think 25.200.22 is the latest release and most likely the final "official release" My phone lists the Security patch level as October 1, 2017.
