Hey, i have a navigation software installed on my phone, but after max 5 minutes my display automatically turns off. Is there any way to prevent this from happening?
I've read that i have to set "Backlight always on" somewhere. But if i goto the Energy option then i dont see any option like that anywhere...
I also have Advanced Config Tool installed but couldn't find an option for this on that program either.
So can you guys pls tell me where i can find this option...?

Hello Guys!!
Have anybody missed AUTO BRIGHTNESS feature in OPTIMUS ONE because lack of Ambient Light Sensor,
If yes, the don't worry. I have an easy solution for Auto Brightness, Yes you can use Auto Brightness on LG Optimus ONE:victory:
NO ROOT REQUIRED
Download and install These two app from following links:-
Lux Auto Brightness
Tasker
After Installing these apps follow these steps:-
Lux Auto Brightness:-
Go to Lux settings
Tap on Sample Collection
Tap on Select light reading source
Select Camera
Then get back to main settings menu
Tap on Mopdify linked samples
Tap on Luma TAB
Tap on ADD, set brightness (yello bar) to 4% Luma value to 1 and press ADD
Add 3 more links with these values= 35%-70|100%-80|50%-120|
Exit Lux
Tasker:
Open Tasker, tap on Plus Sign(+) on main screen
Tap on Event
Select Display in Event Category
Select Display On in Display Event
A blank screen will appear, do nothing just press BACK Button
TAP on New Task +
Enter Name to task or just tap on tick
A blank screen will Appear, tap on Plus Sign (+)
Select Plugin from action category
Select Lux Plug-in
Tap on Edit Button
Scroll Down and Tick in front of Refresh Backlight brightness? Under Force
Press Done, then press back and back again
Exit Tasker
Thats all work to do, now your dvice have Auto Brightness feature:silly:
To test, just press power button and lock the screen and then cover front camera with finger and press power button again, screen will Light up wait 1-2 seconds, Screen brightness will reduce, remove finger, lock unlock screen and brightness will resume to normal.
I have tested this for full day on my L9 and got no any battery drainage.
You can modify Linked Samples Values to your comfort zone for batter sample values you can also search other XDA forums.
Guys try it and let me know how you feel
if you got any issue please post, I'll try to solve it (Coz m also new to TASKER & LUX so may be it will take little bit time to Solve:fingers-crossed
EDIT: You can uncheck "Presistent notification" in general settings of Lux Auto Brightness, If you think it is draining your phone's battery. This will also disable the annoying Lux icon from notification.
HIT THANKS IF I DESERVE IT
1. The P500 has not front camera. Rear camera not really useful for this.
2. If triggered by tasker (or a screen widgt, hint, hint), persistant notification should not be needed nor useful. Would simply get run, set and exit.
3. The Lux app, since is usually uses a brightness sensor, is listed as incompatible by play. Velis app seems to be the only one that will directly install. (There is an addon to Chrome to download to a computer so one could side-load from there using adb install. However, apps must be fail-soft when checking/initializing absent brightness sensor!
Apparently not very reliable this you? excuse my ignorance
Any body else has noticed it? (KitKat)
Turn off auto brightness. Try sliding it slowly down
and when you met 60/255 values back-light will light stronger...
which is weird. It should constantly lowering the
back-light but 60 value breaks it.
It is really annoying if you have auto-brightness enabled
especially when you approach dark places. Brightness will lower
and than BAM! at 60 value it will x-rays your eyes
Any body know how to fix that?
anybody?
Try to disable "Content Adaptive Backlight"
You must make a shortcut of this app with the launcher [Nova launcher i.e.] or an app to create shortcuts
Also you can disable or change the settings of this. Test the settings that best suit you...
Meanwhile.. i'm in need for some help too
check this http://forum.xda-developers.com/elife-e7/help/request-nv-items-backup-qcn-ou-nvf-t3097931

On the dialer of the phone type *#8702# to test your backlight.
If apears all in chinese, download GN_MMITest.apk and replace the one you have in /system/app.
Have you tried 3rd party apps?
Disable the "Content Adaptive Backlight" install this app Brightness Widget - Backlight! and manually set the level you want.
There could other apps that do this better, i just dont know. So if this app dont do the job as you intent search for another app to do so...
Take a look at this How to Improve Your And... and if that is your issue. They suggest a paying app, but if it suits your needs maybe you should consider it...
Hi,
I tried almost every 3th party app like Lux, Velis etc... but problem is still there!
GN_MMITest.apk you posted is not working it says "Connection problem or invalid MMI code"
Thanks for your further help.
Have you noticed it?
When brightness goes across 60 value it will lighten up instead dimming...
With auto brightness turned on.
It seams it is system or kernel bug...

If u have root access then try xposed's module Screen Filter.
Link:- https://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/modules/mod-screen-filter-t2893936
Thanks, but I read somewhere Xposed on KitKat cause boot loop...
So I am alone with that problem?
I'm installed xposed frameworks, and work fine, not all, but many modules work!
But, Screen filter no work, sorry! ?
Thanks anyway

hi I think am able to help.... I all you need to do is look for "color adjustment" setting and disable it
if you are using 7.0 Nougat there's a search icon where you can type it in and you select colour adjustment and disable... In Marshmallow.... you go settings.... then Accessibility.... then vision... and in there you'll find it and you can disable it ??
