Hi All,
After a LOT of reading and mucking about, I've been able to update my ROM, get full use of GPRS and revert back to the manufacturer's ROM. There are a number of instructions, some of which are pretty dangerous. The following forum topic is the invaluable guide you need to read if you wish to revert back from a T-Mobile installation :
http://xda-developers.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3274
The place to get your ROM's is http://www.yorch.net, from the ROM Kitchen. Use the XDA Tools from the above forum link to burn ROM's you download from Yorch's onto your beloved XDA (use the .nb1 format, NOT the .exe method and burn using XDA Tools through your USB cradle).
I happen to have the 5.17 Wallaby bootloader which means that it will not let you simply whack in an SD card with a new O/S and burn off a backup ROM, it won't happen. Don't try to upgrade your Wallaby bootloader. The safest method is to use the Wallaby bootloader patch which can be downloaded from a link at the top of the forum topic link I posted above. That allows you to do a simple O/S restore from your SD card, providing you have an SD reader which presents your SD card as a new drive on your computer. The instructions are simple, just use xdrit as per the instructions in the forum topic link above.
So, from my experience I backed up my original ROM using XDA Tools and stored it on my hard disk in .nb1 format. I then downloaded the .nb1 for 4.00.16 and installed it using XDA Tools without a hitch. Everything worked fine, but I wasn't comfortable until I knew I could revert back to my original ROM. So my next step was to write the Wallaby Patch tool onto my SD card using xdrit using the instructions as laid out in the forum topic link above (take note, use the 1K header option in xdrit). The SD card reader I used was an X-Drive that you normally use for digital camera style stuff. Once written, I put the SD card in the XDA and did the bootloader boot (hold the power button whilst pressing the reset button), and was then given the option to press the Action key to go into the diagnostic mode which is where the patch program resides.
I then took the SD card out, leaving the diagnostic screen still open, put the card back into the X-Drive, formatted it using default options in Windows XP, then wrote the ROM backup I had (you can use any ROM here) onto the SD using xdrit, selecting the 3.5K header option (because we are still using Wallaby 5.17 regardless of patching). The last major step was to place the SD card back into the XDA and select Restore SD and accepted the risk notices. The restore appeared to go fine, but at the end it said Incorrect CRC. That in itself is a worry, but I had at least restored to a point where I could burn whatever ROM I like using the simple XDA Tools method, which is exactly what I did after reviewing the connection info (once more), going to 4.00.05.
Before I originally went to 4.00.16 I recorded all my connection details, including proxy info. When I went to 4.00.16 and re-entered all the gprs info, I found that the internet worked, but MSN Messenger would not connect, stating that the proxy info was incorrect - even though the values were exactly as originally setup. That was one major reason for wanting to go to another ROM. However when I ultimately got 4.00.05 on, I kept getting exactly the same error message with MSN Messenger. The answer came from a hint in another forum topic where someone (with AT&T I think it was) said not to put anything in the proxy info. That did the trick. Un-ticking the proxy option allowed the internet and MSN Messenger to work perfectly.
For Telstra GPRS (I think this is universal) the access point name is : telstra.wap.mnc001.mcc505.gprs
GPRS Authentication method is PAP authentication.
Hopefully this info might help someone out there, because I spent close on 8 hours sweating over trying to get my original ROM back up and running.
Oh yeah, thanks to the XDA Developers, Yorch and the whole XDA community. ROM updating really is easy when you've got the right info, and I can tell you it's really worth upgrading to PPC 2003 (WM2003?), it seems so much more stable, my GPRS has never stayed on as long and it's fun! You can get creative in the ROM kitchens (such as http://www.yorch.net), adding the software you like.
Just a piece of advice, search the threads for problems with any ROM you want to try out first so that you know the traps before it's having a party on your XDA at your sanity's expense.
I have some more observations now that I'm getting more comfortable with doing ROM updates. There are some advantages in going from the 4.00.05 ROM to 4.00.21, such as button lockout while off.
When I initially did the 4.00.21 upgrade I happened to go into the "band" option in phone settings and left the options unselected. Unfortunately setting this to nothing defaults to USA which is totally incompatible with Australia. The result was the phone would not synchronize and I could no longer go into phone settings. The fix for this scenario can be found in this thread : http://xda-developers.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=2893&sid=1e7be62705d2831332c7f0bd5a75e364. It's standard stuff to the die-hards, the scariest thing in the world for us newbies.
Once you set the band for Australia (same as Europe - 900/1800 I think it is) you then get a signal, can synchronize and start customizing your settings. You can get rid of most of the T-Mobile garbage, so far everything is working fine.
Thanks for that buddy, i'm about to do the same downgrade tonight (once Yorch's kitchen is back working properly). You saved me many many hours of pain!
Thanks to all who add to these wonderful forums.
Steve
Just to keep this info updated for the Aussies (and same applies for Asians, and Europe too I think), basically the same applies for 4.01.00 as I explained for 4.00.21 further back. 4.01.00 seems much the same as 4.00.21 at the moment.
Hi guys,
I have a similar set-up as yours, ie I am in Australia nd I upgraded my rom to a 4.00.16. I would like to downgrade it to the original O2 one as I have to return the phone to my company (I am being made redundant).
I tried the method you described but I failed. Basically, I can write the patch on the SD card and when I put it back into the device nothing changes...
Could you please be more specific as to what you did ? Typically, did you switch off the device then put the card then stop/soft-reset or else ?
As well, I only have the NBF version of the O2 rom that I got from the update on their site. Do you think it works or should I try to find a "pure" NB1 rom (I think there's one on Yorch's website).
Thanks a lot in advance for your help.
Bob.
Hi Bob,
Sorry to hear you have to give up your XDA, hope you have replacement work for your redundancy.
Once you have written the Wallaby Patch onto the SD card using XDRIT you reset the device using the stylus and hold down the power button at the same time (with the SD card with the patch in place). That will load into bootload mode, and you press the action button at that point to actually go into the patch.
Once the patch has loaded you leave the device on, and remove the SD card, write your ROM image onto it using XDRIT, and place the SD card back into the phone. On the patch screen select "Restore from SD" using the little directional arrows button below the phone screen. It will then ask you to confirm, then you will see the progress - it takes about 5-7 minutes.
The details on how to write the patch and write ROM's are further up in this thread. I think you can use the NBF file but I am not certain. If you don't want to risk using an NBF you can use the same method above, but revert to the 3.17 ROM from Yorch, then you should be able to use the ROM upgrade from O2 to get a clean install of the manufacturer's ROM.
Let us know if you have any problems.
Thanks Mate.
I have tried once again to patch my Wallaby 5.17 (funny name, isn't it...). It failed. Once I go into the bootloader and press the OK button, I get to the diagnostics screen and nothing else is happening.
Could you shed some light on this ?
Thx.
Bob.
Re-reading your posts...
Would it be possible for you to send me the wallaby patch tool you used ? I tried the one from here (http://xda-developers.com/XDArit/wallaby-patch-tool.nb2), as is and renamed to nb0, but it seems to be the key.
Basically, even though I get the following message : "Successfully copied image of 514 blocks", after having chosen the 1k header, as it's explained in the very detailed post you mention, I still get to the diagnostics screen instead of the patch one...
Thx again in advance for any help.

Hmm, I had no problem at all with the bootloader... one thing though is that you don't rename the .nb2 to .nb0, you use the file as-is. In XDARIT you should be able to select the .nb2 file to write to SD.
It is a diagnostics screen that you get to, that is the purpose of the patch. In that diagnostics screen should be options such as backup ROM to SD and restore ROM from SD. If it still doesn't work for you then maybe I should send you the versions of the patch and XDARIT that worked for me.
Hi,
I am using the O2 3.20.06 ENG ROM and 4.21.00 Radio. Do you think I can upgrade to 4.00.21 ROM directly?
Should I just run the exe file from the Yorch.net? Is it that simple?
What about the radio? Do I have to install a new one or is the 4.00.21 ROM included the radio?
Also, why people need to upgrade bootloader to higher version? I am using bootloader 5.15.
Thanks very much in advanced.
Well, I wouldn't use an exe for upgrading, and I wouldn't try upgrading the radio unless it's an official one posted by your supplier.
Use a .nb1 ROM from yorch and use XDA-TOOLS to do the ROM upgrade. Remember that if you go to a T-Mobile ROM you will need to use the SD card method to change to a different ROM.
Don't try upgrading your bootloader, 5.15 is fine. It's the higher versions that can be problematic and require the patch.
Thanks very much for your reply.
I am about to upgrade my device.
Just a few more questions,
1. Is this 4.00.21 ROM worked okay with the 4.21 Radio in Asia?
2. Also, other encounter a problem with SD card with this new 4.00.21 ROM, have you find any? (every 48 hrs the device wipe out the data in the SD card!)
3. It seems to me when using SD card method to change ROM with bootloader 5.15, the procedure is the same as upgrading or downgrading, isn't it?
4. The file from Yorch.net "upgrade" is only nbf file. It's not nb1. Is it the same?
Cheers,
Hi Chris
1. Yes, 4.00.21 does work fine with the 4.21 radio. I've touched on moving from 900/1900 to 900/1800 band if you should strike that problem.
2. Funny thing that, but I just checked and my SD card is erased after some 3 weeks of no problems.
3. Yes.
4. I do know that if you make a ROM in Yorch's kitchen you can choose .nb1. If you download an 'upgrade' I'm not quite sure what you get.
Not successful with the upgrade
Thanks so much for your reply.
From Yorch.net "upgrade", I can only get the 4.00.21 nbf file which is not nb1.
I can't use xdarit to burn that rom to SD card, an error occurred. But when I use the new OSImagetool, I can burn the ROM to the SD card and I can even change the name to nb1 file.
For both cases (nbf or nb1 file), I put the SD card in my device and press to the bootloading mode, nothing happen!
The device can't detect there is a ROM upgrade there. How can I do that?
Chris,
You need to download the .nb1 from the Rom Kitchen link on Yorch, not from the upgrades link, if all you are getting is a .nbf. With .nb1 you can use the osimage tool or xdrit with the sd method.
The bootloader will not restore from sd unless you have a correctly written image. In Yorch's kitchen you will see that .nbf is tagged for advanced users, that's a strong hint that different methods need to be used to install those.
I see....
Thanks v much.
Sorry for the delay in reply but I had gone back to Europe for Christmas.
I would be happy to use your wallaby patch file as mine doesn't seem to work. You can mail it to me on [email protected].
Thanks in advance for your help,
Bob.
Ok Bob, I'll send it in a few days when I get back to a PC. But I can guarantee it's the same patch that I linked back to in this thread.
Hi all,
Before I post here I have googled over the internet looking for a solution and i have read alot but no success, i have tried many different suggested solutions but all have failed, so that I'm here to ask who have faced a similar situation of me.
My HTC HD2 was having SPL-1.42 with its original stock ROM, then I decided to upgrade for a cooked ROM so that I installed the HSPL then it became SPL-1.42 HSPL, that was fine then I'm were able to upgrade to any cooked ROM, I have flashed my device with many different ROMs even the stock ones, every thing were very fine till I upgraded to the stock ROM of leo 2.10 "RUU_Leo_1_5_TMOUS_2.10.531.0_Radio_Signed_15.34.50 .07U_2.08.50.08_2_Ship" by via the MicroSD card and now stuck with the SPL-2.08 as shown in the attached photos.
I tried to flash again using the EXE file from my PC but it take very long time the fail even with the original stock ROM of my device, and I tried to flash using the SD card but it take very long time just showing a white screen labeled "loading..." and no more activity.
I attached some photos showing the problem.
I know its my fault because I did not read the warning in the text file that included with the ROM folder "Do not flash using the MicroSD"
So that, I'm looking for a solution... please help..
any help will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance..
Note: pardon me about my poor English.

Heya i think ur stuck now on that SPL 2.08 havent heard any1 succeeding in putting hspl on it atleast from what ive read.
The cause is because u flashed that Tmous ROM trough MicroSD which overwrites the hspl.
I think if u had read the stickies more carefully this could be avoided but u can still flash Tmous roms some1 correct me if im wrong. hope this helps a bit
Thanks for replaying,
yeah you are right I have to be more careful but now its done and stuck with SPL 2.08.
anyway, I have tried to falsh it using Tmous ROMs but it faild, it says "this device is not suitable for this ROM" then exit, by the way, my device is the Asia version and I tried to flash it using the new officially updated ROM from htc.com but it also failed, it take very long time more than 15 minutes with no activity the I disconnect the USB from the device to save the battery charge, I'm afraid to stuck with a dead battery. When I disconnect it the upgrading software on my PC asking me to restart the device and reconnect it again then I did, the official upgrading software recognise the device then start to flash it but it stuck at beginning of the flashing process it just change the screen of the device to the back background with the progress bar its reading 0% and take very long time then i disconnect it.
by the way, is the any way to downgrade the SPL to 1.42 ?
any help please..
Thank you.
Last week I also face this problem. But I'm not using SD card to flash the room.
However, I backup my sd card then format the card, it become will afther this.
Same thing happened to me. This is what I did, removed the battery for about 10 seconds and flashed the original ROM. Then reflashed HSPL. It worked for me.
Thank you all for replaying..
I tried to do as you did but no success at all.
well, what next ?
Thank you

i believe to try to flash Original Rom from SD Card. not from PC.
i personally save my stock rom in SD card for future use in case of emergency.

I tried to flash using the stock ROM is SD card but it failed, it shows a white screen with a "Loading..." word only, no activity.
Any help please..
You must use GoldCard repaired your device .Look here (Post 31 & 41) Repaired (with any Goldcard ) HD2 damaged when the flash rom TMOUS with memory card :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...=640183&page=4
You must change Tmous 2.07 ( in guideline article ) replaced by your ship rom 2.10.
same happened to xmoo....just letter xmoo about your problem...i hope he can help you....

Ok this is solution for that problem
no success yet..
but i'm confused about how to use the goldcard ?
I tried to you the attached goldcard.img from the post Id=640183&page=4 but no success.
is the goldcard.img dedicated to a specific device based on its CID ? or it can be used for any device ?
Thank you
Surely XDA Mods should take down the SD card method as there are about 10 threads a week of flashing the 2.10 ROM via SD card and getting stuck cause they don't read enough before hand - if the SD card method isn't there people won't brick their phones!!
{Solved} HTC HD2 stuck at beet loader...
Hi all,
finally I got my device running
by flashing it using Goldcard method, I bought the PSAS software and flashed it using Tmous 2.10 and now it is running fine.
well, the steps as the following:
1- getting the CID of the SD card that you are going to use for flashing you device, I used linux OS to get the CID of my SD card by:
linux host #>more /sys/class/mmc_host/mmc1/mmc1:*/cid
that will give you the CID of the SD card.
2- Start the PSAS software and must be registered then go to Calculations/Generators then select Generate HTC goldcard.
3- then click "Save Goldcard Image to file", rename it whatever you wanna name for example "goldcard.img".
4- Use HxD Hex Editor, then select Extras from the menu then Open disk image..
5- Use HxD Hex Editor, then select Extras from the menu then Open disk...
6- then click on "goldcard.img" tab then select the lines from 00000000 to 00000170 all the file content by high lighting it, then select Edit -> Copy.
7- then go to the disk tab the containing the sd card, then select the same addresses (00000000-00000170) then Edit -> Paste Write, then save the new content.
8- copy a leoimg.nbh to the SD card, its recommended to get it from the ROM that bricked your device. I'm used Tmous 2.10.
9- insert the SD card into your device then boot it to the bootloader by holding the volume switch down while your switching the device on.
10- wait for the menu to appear and follow the instruction to complete.
Thats work from me and should work for you.
by the way, I flashed US Tmous while my device is Asian.
Thank you all
and
Best regards
if you have your CID I may help you to generate the suitable goldcard.img for your device.
I think I've read that even though you are stuck on spl 2, now that you have it running you should be able to flash roms with sspl but you won't be able to change the radio.
HTML:
till now I'm not sure about the radio, any way, I'm trying to hack it, i successfully initiated the process of radio upgrading but it failed at 99%.
we gonna do it one day...

I also bought PSAS and used my old TP to goldflash the card. Then flashed it with the TMOUS ROM using SD method. After that it game back to life and only way to flash other roms is using sspl. Only thing now is that I'm stuck with this TMOUS initial splash screen.
Also you can change the splash screen using SSPL,till now you can change what ever you wanna change using SSPL except the radio and SPL flashing.
now i'm looking for flashing the radio with some how.
tamAyT:
SD card method should be used a last resort and only if you know what you're doing - it's a million times easier to use HSPL and ActiveSync as if it fails it's easy to recover. I've never used the sd card method and after reading what it can do if you don't read into the ROM well enough it's not worth the hassle IMO

HAHAHA.
For me changing the first 2 00 in de hex edit of the goldcard to 11 fixed the issue.
Radio 2.08 is greate.. SPL 2.08 is greate... So no problems a.t.m., if I need a stock rom I use SSPL...
But then again I hope someone comes with HSPL 2.x tho.
hey
my dad wants me to debrand his wildfire
is this possible at all?
and is there a stock android/htc rom?
as it came from the factory so to speak
really need help with this
Here is what i did to debrand mine. As the rom my phone came did not have the android market for some stupid reason. These are the steps I followed. But i guess you dont really need the 1st step.
1-) Root the phone by unrevoked. Just go to their site, http://unrevoked.com. Just do a search on the forums for more info.
2-) create a goldcard. There is a simple program to do this. You can get the program here, http://www.klutsh.com/ Or you can do it manually. Search for the manual way as there are many posts on that.
3-) Download a wwe rom for your wildfire. I installed 1.25. It seems to work great on my wildfire.
4-) Turn off your phone. Power your phone while holding volume down and power button. This will get you to the bootloader. Pick fast usb and start the RUU on your computer and let it install the new rom on your phone.
Hope this works for you.
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using XDA App
the link to the wwe file is here http://shipped-roms.com/shipped/Buz...45.55.24_3.35.15.31_release_142189_signed.exe
I have successfully created my gold card, but when trying to apply the .exe from windows, I got : Error 131 - Error ID Client .
My wildfire is from a french operator depending on Vodafone. Am I doing something wrong ?
Error 131
I am not exactly sure what error 131 is. But did you start your phone in the bootloader mode? Did you select fast usb? You should start the RUU.exe when you are in this mode.
Mine worked flawlessly.
Also apparently, some sd cards do not work with the goldcard stuff. If it still does not work, try it with a different sd card.
What I did is :
- create a Goldcard with the goldcardtool from here
- then download the file .exe from the link above
- the reboot my wildfire into the bootloader
- then enter the fastboot and launch the .exe file from my computer.
When trying to install the new rom, the program boot another time the device onto a particular boot with big HTC letters on the screen then it tries to modify the signature and give me this error : 131.
Other Problem after debranding
Hi @all,
i have done the following things :
1. Root Wildfire with Unrevoked 3
2. Made NADROID Full Backup
3. Update my Vodafone ROM 1.14 to Branding Free Version 1.25 via EXE
4. Restore Data from NADROID Backup
All Settings and APPS (except Vodafone Branding Apps) are back again.
All went fine, except a few problems with some deleted apps. The Vodafone Apps + Zumas Revenge + UNO and Monopoly are all away. Thats ok. But in Menu -> Settings -> Applications , they are still there -> com.xxxxxxx with a Size of 0 kb.
If i want do delete them, i got an error (task closed).
I searched the hole phone for the vodafone files, but they are not there.
Tried Titanium Backup and some other Uninstallers to get rid of the disappeard vodafone apps in the application list.
Any ideas ? Or can someone send me the "Titanium" Backup APKs of the Vodafone Apps to install them again and afterthat to uninstall the hopefully not locked apps again.
Thanks
You could try creating the goldcard this way http://android.modaco.com/content/general-discussion/305672/creating-a-goldcard/
Just in case its this software playing up.
EDIT: Sorry for the wrong link.
I do not think it is the goldcard softwarw issue. I can think of only two reasons why it did not work for you.
1- As I said before, some brands of the sd cards do not like to be played with their CID. I read about it Xda forums. You can try another brand sd card.
2- Did you root your phone? Maybe that was the thing that made it work for me.
Or as someone pointed out, you can try other. Ways of creating a goldcard. But if you ask me, i really think that your sd card did not take the goldcard.
Good luck

EDIT: my band version is 13.45.55.24H_3.35.15.31
build : 1.14.163.1 CL 183733 release-keys
EDIT 2: last try for today, again the same error with CID Signature failed marked on the device screen. Will try tomorow with another sd card. Just to know, what's the brand of yours? And what type are they (gb and class)?

Hi @all,
i have done the following things :
Thanks

Just find a "quick" solution for my problem :
1. Made a new nadroid backup from rom 1.25
2. Restore of old complete backup (vodafone 1.14 version)
3. Copy all Vodafone and other lost apps from /system/app to my sdcard
4. Restore ROM 1.25
5. Install all Vodafone and other Apps , which are not existing in the new rom with the wrong uninstall parameters.
6. Uninstall of this apps.
Now my Application-List is clean again.
I created my goldcard by backing up all the data on my SD card that came with the phone (a 2gb Samsung), formated it to FAT32 and created the goldcard.
This seemed to work.

I created the goldcard with sdcard that came with the phone. It was a 2GB Sandisk.
And as the previous poster said, i think you need to format it wih FAT32.

Hi. I tried the process you posted (btw, thanks very much for this).
But unfortunately it does not work. The phone is still locked with Vodafone Romania. What if I downgrade the ROM to 1.xx
Would there be a problem?
THANK YOU all !!
I finally succeed. I try with the sdcard provided with the device, samsung 2gb, as a goldcard, and it works.
I'm now debranded (the boot is a little longer, but the overall is smoother and littler faster than before).
Thanks again.

Hi domujunior,
If I understand correctly you want to sim unlock your phone. this process does not SIM unlock your phone. It will just put a unbranded rom on your phone. Meaning no additional software etc. put in your phone by your service provider.
I do not know how to unlock the phone. You might try purchasing an unlock code or maybe search for a sim unlock software.

thanks for the info
ok I had the same problem 131 error vendor, but I solved in this way :
when you create the gold card you have to copy the CID number near the "GET CID"
and NOT the one in the DEBUG LOG
now all is working:
so I did unrevoked root , after gold card and in fastboot mode usb I launched the .exe file official rom
hope that all people having my sam problem 131 error now can solve,
Hi,
I just tried to generate a goldcard for my DHD, but adb shell cant read mmc1, so I cant get the CID mmc0 and 2 are working, which of the 2 should I choose?
iI used this guide:
ty in advance
edit: ITS MMC2
hi,
also wanted to debrand my DHD, but i always get error 170 usb not connected ...
i have o2 DHD and wanted to flash the standard 1.32 RUU
may an idea what problem there is ?
tested with or without HTC sync installed
thanks ahead
You need to use MMC2 while creating the goldcard as that is the ext SD card.
All you have to do is get the signed RUU zip file and rename it to PD98IMG.zip and put that on the goldcard SD card and boot to hboot.
hboot should check the the file and ask to flash it :-D
Im writing a guide for this now sould be up after iv confirmed it working
isn't USB error to do with drivers? install the latest htc sync that came with the phones memory card and then run the RUU
Vote 4 guide xD ill give it a try tomorrow, got usb problems as well
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
i got it working yesterday then after using a different pc as raZr confirmed working.
and yes, worked then here too.
no idea why it doesnt work on my main pc, all i can imagine is may collides due
too many drivers ... desire, iphone, desireHD, ...
is there any real reason to create goldcard of any major use i.e. will this help me to gain information i can pass on to help with perma root on vision. i have looked into goldcard creation a lot since receiving my DHD but cannot see what i can do with the goldcard. Confused if this helps toward root.
am a knoob
Won't help the people who are working on rooting the DHD, but it lets you debrand your phone if you have a carrier specific branded version by flashing a signed unbranded ROM.
In the future it might be necessary to root your phone, but not yet... crossing fingers here.
Does anyone know what is done by Viper to actually create the GoldCard image?
I've been looking at the GoldCard method this week, threw together a nice AJAX CID reverser which flips the digits and replaces the first two with 00, but would like to know about the image side now.
Hi there guys I don't own the Desire HD yet, but am very interested in it.
I'm an Android newb. I'm likely going to purchase a UK Vodafone branded Desire HD but would like to immediately debrand it to essentially make it a stock HTC version.
Is this possible?
If so, is the method you've described in the previous posts, the way to do it? i.e. create a Goldcard in the way described on the Modaco website (these instructions appear to be for the Desire, not the Desire HD - does this matter?)
I have had a Voda branded Nokia N95 8GB for 3 years but changed the product code and installed a standard Nokia firmware - I'd like to do the same with my Desire HD (when I get it).
Hopefully that all made sense,
Any help appreciated.
Cheers,
Grim.
now that i have a gold card??

As far as that is concerned is it MMC2 on the goldcard app?? or is it something completely seperate
i still need help trying to remove the simlock and i still cant flash any WWE Roms because no one can give me answer
Oke guys here's my queston.
First look at:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=939763&page=3
My radio is probably bricked, so now i'm trying to use a goldcard:
I managed to get the CID of my SD card.
Reversed the CID of the 2 Gb is: 009b000a6daf00804732305553445303
With a little help of this forum i now have a goldcard and put an original LEOIMG on the goldcard.
Still no solution, the bootscreen flashes off/on 1 time and then returned into bootscreen. No attempt of flashing seen. What went wrong??
Thanks in advance!
first the obvious questions, (quite often its somethign dead simple) ,
you extracted ruu_signed.nbh and didnt just rename the whole .exe to .nbh?
How did you write the .img to the card? ? you
How did you get the CID?
let me have the two CIDS (dont reverse them or anything, just as you got them) and an email address and ill make you an image for each disk, that way you have three to try.

on a normal sd card, this usually indicates either wrong stock rom being used (sure the rom you are using is for your region AND carrier?((if locked)), or an sd card that isn't set up right (freshly format it, FAT32 )
It might point to the goldcard image being wrong, or incorrectly written to the card.
I extracted the original HTC HD2 dutch rom, took of the ruu_signed.nbh, copied it to the goldcard en renamed it to LEOIMG.nbh
I got the CID by using a working adroid phone together with the tutorial from "theunlocker.com" (sdk/adb-app en hex-app)
The 2 onreversed CID's are:
1gb
035344535530314780606ca6f10079a6
2gb
03534453553032478000af6d0a009b8e
emailaddress: [email protected]
thanks!
Hey Magazijn if your problem is not a hardware issue then you have the right guy working with you now. Samsamuel will have you up and running again I am sure of it. Just remember though if you are using USB to flash and not SD card then always put your HD2 into bootloader and wait for the USB tben flash this is a trusted method. And don't forget to click Samsamuel's thanks button when he gets you going. Peace.
heh, cheerleader fees in the post.
@OP sorry for the delay, theres a step by step to double check you are writing teh image correctly HERE
Thanks for the quick solution samsamuel, but still the same problem.
After Boot the screen builds up again in boot and that's it.
So i think it's an hardware radioproblem with can't be fixed.
Should a hardware repair help me out?
Last question i used original dutch LEOIMG (winmo 6.5), can i use another (android of winmo) rom?
If yes, which would you prefer.
Again thank for your help, i appreciate it.
hmm, not sure what to suggest. As i said b4, a brief 'loading' then back to bootloader usually indicates the wrong rom. Are you sure your phone is an unbranded dutch phone? did you download that rom with your serial number from the htc website? (it will only let you download correct roms if you use serial)
This shouldnt matter if the goldcard is working, but if you KNOW its the correct rom, it can be discounted as the cause.
