Samsung i900 + HTC Diamond Theme?

Are there any HTC Diamond themes out there that are working with the 400x240 resolution of the Samsung i900?

None at all?

I don't Believe the Omnia is even out yet. At least its not in North America. Wait a little longer and I'm sure someone will start on one. But its real hard to make something functional from just a few screenshots.

Hey guys, just got my Samsung Omnia i900 last week and that is how long I've been searching for HTC Diamond Skins for my phone...so far no luck. Every skin that I transfer to my phone? The Mobile Shell hanged without fail. It would certainly be great if somebody can come up with some cool HTC Diamond Skins for Samsung Omnia...dying to lay my hands on some cool skins....

yeah man..ive been using my Omnia for abt a month already and all i can use is the standard SPB Mobile Shell 2.1 software..
It would be ****in' cool if someone could create a HTC mobile shell theme specifically for Omnia's screen size and resolution..

You could try Throttle Launcher with TouchFLo3d. You will need to set the height of Today plugin manually in Throttle Config, sorry I don't have mine installed at the moment I just flashed to H1 but just play with the value til you get it right. Also uncheck full height, and uncheck hide softkeys. If you don't do this there are problem with the bottom navigation bar hiding behind the soft keys after rotate from landscape.

Join the club, nothing exists for a WVGA screen yet either (Xperia), though can't wait, they are going to look great!

Sorry for being thick, but how do you install the theme? I have unzipped the file and its given me a shed load of files.

To install the theme, simply copy all file in the skin directory and paste in the same directory of Spb mobile shell in the device, then soft reset.

open ur hp folder using activesync.then go to program files.look for the spb mobile shell folder.then copy and paste the load of files u unzipped and replace it with the ones inside the folder..then do soft reset

on Modaco there is a "Mikibest" pack version 1.1 (whatever that means).
It has some mort scripts that allow you to switch between one of several different skins and rapidly test them out without a soft reset.
All Omni Size.
I have yet to find a use for the Samsung Widgets. Aside from the notifier and the clock, they are pretty much useless. I had been using Samsung home 2 (which is similar to HTC Home)
Most of the functionality of Mobile Shell is built into the Omnia with the Samsung today plugin, a weather plugin and their main menu, dialer, and contacts etc.
My only gripe is the lack of 3G in north America and the fact that it has fewer buttons than the Kaiser and Titan.
I like the one screen keyboard. Together with the G sensor and haptic feedback, I prefer it to my kaiser keyboard.

may i know how to install those files??

u need to install mobile shell first.
then go to ur programs folder in ur hp and then paste the unzipped files into the spb mobile shell folder

Which is the best ROM choice for spb shell 3.0?

first of all sorry for my bad english
I got since some days the beautiful se xperia mobile... i've already hard-spl'ed it and got currently the cmEX rom on it...
I'm searching for a rom which is Vodafone ( german would be nice ) related and maybe a slim version, so that the mobile is still fast and i want to use the spb shell 3.0 ofc with it
or maybe i should use another rom like nX1i's v1.04 in german? it is currently the best choice in my point of view...

in case you are a german person and can live with a rom containing english language i personally can advise itjes touch-it v7 lite version.
i didnt try it out by myself but the "full-version" works excellent for me after taking 2 or 3 modificiations like bringing the order of the hardware keyboard back to german configuration (it's easy all you have to do is changing one value in the registry of your x1).
it's fast and stable... and lite...
why you dont just use a normal stock rom? everything you need for running spb mobile 3.0 is already in it and new versions are fast and most stable.
please share your experiences with spb 3.0 with me/us. i would like to hear if it can beat touch flo 3d in your opinion. what are its strengts and weaknesses?
another hint: look at the stickys above... there is a topic where every rom (even germans) is listed with a proper description. you should able to find one rom there this suits best for you!

in my eyes, the spb shell 3.0 works better and faster then tf3d.. the touchscreen works flawless... you got a lifestyle screen where you can put in you own widgets, also contatcs and so on.. this is splittet in 3 screens which u can change with moving the finger to the left / right ( iphone-like )..
there are many pros which i found in comprehension to tf3d..
only bad thing what i saw till now is that the screen change from normal to landscape or the other way round take 2-3 seconds...

SBP 3.0 suite with stok ROM R2AA0010 and above
try to use WM 6.5 sbp 3.0 will conflict

What today shell you really use?

titanium
I use titanium with the wm7 skin (+showaco wheather and appstar fave peoble plugin)
wm 6.5 (21500) is today use ready and it`s like an normal finger frindly handy menu....

Now i use m2d and ms3 together but still i prefer m2d,
ms3 has more options and more effects but m2d works faster and its more practical with m2d i can do same actions quicker in less moves then ms3...
Found here TF3D, seems to be working for QVGA...tried on wm6.5 rom it didn't works...said its needed rom with opengl,
so if some1 tries and its working please report!

In all these three I miss my tasks display on the today screen which SPB diary provides me ......

SPB mobile shell V.3 with close eyes!!!! M2D is very good but i think SPB is better. Titanium???? HA!! This is a joke.

Ever since Mobile Shell 3 finally came out, I've been using it. TouchFLO is just too much of a chore, and a little too simplified for my likes.
Getting one more head start, my new Polaris should be arriving within a couple of weeks.

i m unable to use spb shell latest with windows mobile 6.5 ,it get installed but doesnt come up on today screen and nor tha shortcuts work

whose rom do you use? please post your question there, might be someone can help you more, btw do search for neos2007 openVG drivers.cab, try to install it, see whether it works for you.

Which UI do you prefer?

Just wanted to gauge what everyone's thoughts were about which UI they prefer the most now that there are so many options.
Which do you prefer using out of the below:
TF3D
TF3D2
Titanium
Point UI
SPB Mobile Shell

Voted for TF3D even tho I haven't tested any of the other, but I've seen youtube videos.

It doesn't matter if it hasn't been ported to the diamond..All I know is that Sense UI is the best UI out there. Just my two cents.

Wich UI do you prefer?
I would say PointUI Pro with the Sense UI themes and applets, works like a charm, feels smooth and lag free.

SPB Mobile Shell 3

SPB shell is the best for me, better than manilla, it can be configured like you want and everything it is very accesible and finger friendly.

Using titanium right now. But can't wait when HTC releases sense ui for winmo.
Also looking for good port of sense ui for now, which one you using CraZyLiLbOy ?

voted TF3D2 now it's very usable also with the "old" diamond
PointUI is really nice but wastes too much memory
SPB Shell isn't free

I really like SPB shell is the best.
Its finger friendly, customisable and easy to use.

I'm a Titanium user for now. But when Manila 2.6 shows up... I'll be switching to that!

Im with you on that one Trident. Can't wait for the Diamond Dev's to port it over

I feel all the new UIs are memory hungry, so use the old school Touch Home screen, got everything you need, and still room to fit a couple of home plugin's on the today screen, and it runs so much quicker than anything else I've tried (and I've tried them all)

does anyone knows where to find old school htc today for vga screen?
found couple htc today, but icons are too smal at vga screen.

Agreed. Everything is so much easier with it. You dont even have to use the start menu if you configure it properly.

SPB mobile shell is well worth the $30

I use it exclusively. From an ease of use and efficiency standpoint I find it far superior to the HTC Sense interface. Admittedly, the eye candy isn't as nice as Sense, but that is not my priority. I have yet to find a better "search" screen for my contacts than the one included in the Mobile Shell.
My only two big issues with SPB Mobile Shell 3.5 is that I can only have 1 location for Weather and that it doesn't have a stock ticker screen built in. If you have a solution for those two issues, please let me know.

been using SPB shell too. Lets just put it this way the phone lasted 2 days before I flashed it with Kumars and that lasted 5 days before i put SPB on and I have had that on for the last week and have not intention of changing it

I love this shell. I run it exclusively on my Wing, thanks to Tribulattifather over at "[ROM]TribShell WM6.5.5[SD Version Build 23545][26.20MB Prog Mem | 71.40MB Stor Mem]"
Yeah, I said "Wing". It runs just fine on stripped-down versions of 23545, despite the RAM limitations of the device.
I still haven't gotten over the "newness" of my HD2 yet, so I'm not running it here, but I may in the future. Right now, I really enjoy the Weather Home and other fancy bits like landscaped SMS that just wouldn't work on SPB Home.
Give me a few more weeks and I'll probably jump over, especially now that they have that sweet WinPho7 skin

i just installed the trial version, and its defiantely different. i think im just gonna leave it setup factory for now, i really like the weather info on the factory theme.

I'm just holding out, that is until SPBMS v5.0 is OFFICIALLY released by SPB Software.
v3.5 is excellent, but not worth disabling Sense, in my opinion. In fact, I rather prefer the look of Titanium over standardized Mobile Shell. Then again, you can theme the HELL out of Mobile Shell, make it look pretty snazzy. LOL!

So with shell you cant use landscape mode in any programs then? It seems like there is a ton of different style themes you can change with it though. I just dont get how the trial version works, does it have everything the full version does and does your phone just reboot to normal after the 15 days then? When is the new version expected to be released?

SPB Software told mobile news and blog sites that we could expect to see the official release sometime during Q4 of 2010.

i probably wont even have this phone by then LOL, i go through Phones like crazy! Just sold my nexus one though, kinda wish i woulda kept it.

i'm using the full version right now with hero sense mobile ui theme installed on top of it. phone runs much more smooth then ever before. however, nothing beats the beauty of the stock hero sense ui. right now, im taking performance over looks tho

SPB Mobile Shell does not preclude running any apps in landscape mode - all apps work the same as before. The trial version is fully functional for 15 days after which it will prompt you to register and lock some functions of the shell. You can uninstall and reboot and your phone will function the same as before you ever install the Mobile Shell.

Although not as fancy as the Sense software, you do realize you can customize SPB Mobile Shell to put a weather widget on the home screen? I have mine set this way and it gives me an icon for sunny/cloudy/rainy and hi/lo temperature . . . the widget is active so if I single tap it it will bring me to a more detailed weather screen showing hour by hour and day by day weather info for 5 days.

What do you mean by landscape SMS not working when I am in the my SMS client i can turn it and it switches to a landscape mode
