Should be in your \windows folder already under et9mywords.exe Just create a link in your startmenu\programs folder to it if you need easy access

thanks for the reply. Ive tried looking for that in the windows folder but its not that ive even tried searching usung total commander. They are all dlls or non txt files?
I'm really interested in how it will perform when I upload my 300,000 words dictionary... I think it is not t9 editor... it's just the user dictionary provided to add some (few) words to existing T9 dictionary... I would like to see real T9 dictionary...

Hey guys...I have searched and search the forums for a way to change the shortcut icons for my programs...can anyone help me with this? I downloaded resource editor but I cannot get it to work...I cant believe something that should be so simple is this much of a pain!!

Ive got a question about using ResHacker...what file format do the icons have to be in? Ive got them in .ico also I am trying to put a icon to an application that doesnt currently have one do you know how I can do this in Res Hacker

In ResHacker open file u want to change the icon of, then hit the action button, and then replace icon. However, with some .exe or .dll files u cannot change there icons.
any help on this one. I have shortcut creator and for some reason when i point it to the Lnk file then to the ico file it just makes a duplicate and renames the old .bak. the icons don't change?

To change the icon of all shortcuts download a registry editor (PHM RegEdit is free and great), Then goto HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\inkfile\defaulticon.Edit the string value "default" to the path to the icon you whant all shortcuts to have. The path must lead to a exe, dll or ico file.

There is a workaround for this.
After the download is finished, and you see all this strange text, navigate to /Windows/Profiles/Guest/Temperary Internet Files/Content.IE5/. (DON'T close PocketIE)
There you'll see 4 folders. In one if these folders you can find your CAB-file.
BTW; Its a good idea to empty your Temporary Internet Files before downloading the CAB-file. That will make it a lot easier to find.
I know there are other solutions, but this works quitte well!
I did not know of that trick. But i used two other: wait for the text to load, then save the page with spb pocketplus, rename the file to fiename.cab. Or: copy address and paste in opera mobile.
But i hope to find a better solution.

I've done a search but can't find what i'm looking for. Basically, i'm looking to delete some words from the predictive dictionary that have ended up being added by mistake.

Actually, this program should already be on your Topaz, in Windows - so you can just run it (use File Explorer to find it) and delete any words you wish.

thanks, no need to install any cab (just search with resco explorer for "mywords" then copied shortcut in windows\start menu\programs)
Sorry for the noob question: Where can I select un-hide all files and folders from within the phone? I've been searching the phone for ages and can't find it.

It happens when you change default language of Manila.
I've changed my phone's default Russian to English and had the same issue with sms sound.
There are files for English that I make for English.

If you have other current phone's language you may have to rename '0409' part in
filenames like 'newtextmsg.0409.html' to your locale code.

alharby, I'll try to explain it as simple as possible.
There are files in the attachment smsfix

newtextmsg.0409.html
newtextmsg_unread.0409.html
smssendfailed.0409.html
textmsgclass0.0409.html
You shoud rename them to match you locale id. I am not sure what it should be, try one of Arabic listed by Microsoft or look up in your \Windows\ folder for files with similar "double extentsion" - use the code like that.
For example, if your locale is Arabic - Saudi Arabia 0401, rename my files like the following:
deliveryreportsms_delivered.0401.html
deliveryreportsms_expired.0401.html
deliveryreportsms_failed.0401.html
newtextmsg.0401.html
newtextmsg_unread.0401.html
smssendfailed.0401.html
textmsgclass0.0401.html
and copy them to the \Windows\ folder, then soft-reset the phone.

It's not a big problem. Use Resco Explorer or Total Commander - both shows hidden files and directories.

I have the same problem, I tried to follow your instruction but with no luck.
I can`t change the name of the files because this is system files and the device not allow this, also tried to change it from the PC when the device connected same problem.

You must use Resco Explorer or Total Commander.
Same problem using Resco I was unable to modify this files......

I opened Resco file explorer on the device and inside the windows folder the relevant files are missing, only if i search them i can see them, tried to change the name and after soft reset i see it wasn`t saved
