Manila Theme Collection Thread [LAST UPDATE: 18.06.2008]

Hey there!
At first, sorry for my bad English but i'm German
Well...The Idea of this thread is to start a Collection of all Manila-Theme-developements all over the xda-Forum, cause i searched a "working" one for me and i found alot of Idea's from others!
Maybe you can help me to bring all Idea's together in this Thread, and maybe with all advanteges or disadvantages!

Your HTC Home, yes of Course, but your Audio Manager is just for the Audio-Manager and not a Theme for the WM-shell But good work anyway!!

No, it's impossible....

Why?
Kaiser has an Graphics Card and i think good Specs (400Mhz, ...)

Well the first one is just a S2U2 Theme and not a WM-Makeover!
The Second one, yes, i'll update
The third one is the MobileShell one i've already posted!

It is more better to post whether the themes work for what type of device..because its really a problem for VGA users if after they installed it, they found out its for QVGA

The third one I specify to try the 3D not Mobile Shell one. There are two different links to two different themes. Try the 3D Diamond one by AM1759.

VGA apps being in small number as opposed to to QVGA are always labelled.
so:
if labelled VGA... it's VGA or has VGA support.
if not labelled... no VGA or "at your own risk" VGA support.
That's my view, of course some posters might forget about it
About the diamond 3D... I've always seen it as a variant to greatbal's. It's another SPB mobile shell theme...
UI is the same as greatbal's, just glossy... Very good notheless!!
Besides, on the same post as greatbal's and 3D you have a white diamond theme and dozens other variants.
The white/blue theme is also available on throttlelauncher.

Huh?! I see two Themes, but it seems, theyre both for MobileShell!

PS: Sadly i cannot try which Programs have VGA-Support and which not...To test it, i must have a VGA-Device, but i haven't one!
And i don't think anyone would Donate for this little Thing...I mean, the easiest way to see for what Device is:
-Make a Backup with SPB Backup
-Install the App and see!
-If you don't like the Theme or it's not working, Restore the Backup...

Portover try of the TouchFLO 2d QVGA build to VGA devices with a wholly redrawn image set and some usefull aditions.

Instalations / Download
To install please follow the steps found here:

and after you have everything up and running (even in the little left corner of your screen but working) then go to "Start->Settings->Today->Items" and uncheck "TouchFlo" press OK then download this zip file and extract the content to \Windows\ directory on your device.

Then go back to "Start->Settings->Today->Items" and check "TouchFlo" again press ok and the full resolution TouchFlo should appear.
IMPORTANT: It seems with the latest Manila2d release (1.00...) the files are installed in read only state so you won't be able to overwrite the files unless you remove the Read only state from the files which are all files in \Windows directory starting with HH_..... and HTCHomeSettings.xml and then all files in \Windows\ManilaGFX

I'd really like this, but I'll wait for the updated images images, however I'm not so sure if touchflo2d can be uninstalled so the only way to take it off is to a hard reset. but waiting on your update would give it a go and help out as much as i can.

well well... great job buddy... I've found some bugs.
1.Lunch Browser picture doesnt show (The globe one)
2.And when I go to music tab the music picture which is a note crashes and half down looks corrupted
3.Album tab doesnt show the pictures fully and shows them like QVGA.
BTW tnx for great job... if u want i can make a cab for this so were gonna have a real XDA-Team M2D VGA...

Thanks for testing, point 1 and 2 are known as it is written in the 'Not working' list in the first post, but regarding the music tab I don't think it has something to do with the VGA changes but till someone cant test it on a QVGA device with all the same files/addons installed I cant say for sure but yes, I noticed the problem too but then launched the player separately and then everything worked just fine so thats why I think it may be a TouchFlo 2d bug and not a theming one.
Oooo, almost forgot, regarding the cab, I think there is no need for it for now but when this gets really done with every real pictures and all bugs fixed it will be a good idea.

I've found another prob... When u want to slide the pictures in album tab u cant slide in the whole screen... it only works in the left corner of screen (The place when u qvga version appears)

It can be uninstalled. Use Memmaid or SKTools. This has been mentioned quite a few times.

Thanks. As this is related. Does anybody know how to get the new email wizard called up instead of the old one?
I hope im not hijacking but I figured it was directly related. Why should someone install the new one when they can't do it without running a shortcut?

How do I upgrade Opera? It's quite a few thousand builds newer than the one I'm running, but the installer says that the old version cannot be uninstalled. If I just continue with installation, there's bound to be issues.

Not necessarily. It is almost identical, files wise. It shouldn't be an issue to uninstall it if you have issues. You prolly have opera cooked in, so it will never be able to be uninstalled.

When I installed the keyboard the Compact Qwerty keyboard disappeard! But the full keyboard is defnitely better.. Any way to get the compact qwerty back..?

I already have. The only thing we are waiting for is the new manila from xboxmod. The contact editor is 90% tied into manila. So it is useless without it.

It is to auto-rotate without the need for third party apps. There is an app called G-Config that configures the sensor for apps that aren't already supported.

That is one of the drawbacks from some people. As far as I can see the compact qwerty went away with this new keyboard.

here are the icons. They are all contained in this dll. Manually insert them or link to the dll. BIG thanks to carburano for this.

Hi there, I'm Steve from London, England.
I got my new Touch HD 3 days ago and over the past few days I've been trying to figure out how it works (first Windows phone) and once I found this site i've been reading up and downloading the various .cab's i liked the look of.
Just thought I'd say hi and post a few pics of how she looks in her current incarnation.

just doing some reading about "AEBPlus", "eLiAs_ASyncKiller" and "FInixNOverBatteryIconsOnly"
...just done some reading about AEBPlus and will give it a go.
Installed ASyncKiller,
and can't find much info about the other, but i like the battery icon in my topbar at the moment.
I had Advanced Config, but i didn't like it, it was screwing with my battery and reception icons for some reason.
Didn't like finger keyboard either as it's got the up,down,left, right arrows in the middle of the landscape querty (which bothered me )

Each to there own, thats why I like WM, so versitile and everyone does it differently!!

I can't tell if ASyncKiller works or not.
I ran it, and async was still showing up.
So i did the "fake server" trick, and it works a treat
i love this phone.
if only there was a .cab to let it make me a cup of coffee..........

Blackstone + XTROM + DUSK Evo = 1 Problem, Please Help!!

Hello Everyone!!
I am new member and like new one I come with new problem so be patient how you can!
I try to find the solution but with any success.
I hope someone can tell me how fix it.
First, I post what I have,
HTC Touch HD - Blackstone with:
XTROM GRID 21887 Leo Turbo 2.4B.
DUSK Evolution 2.5 (v3.0).
DUSK Manilla 2.5 Clock Graphics.
DUSK Rhodium Dialer A.
DUSK Background.
DUSK WMP.
Vovichek & Jamrecords 16 Shortcut.
This mixture is wonderful and the phone look very cool.
I don't use many app so I can't tell much about ROM but for me is good.
Manilla working great and fast.
There is 1 bug in the graphix, on some page settings the icons botton to select the option, some icon is large and some other icon is slim, all not have same size. They working all and is not so bad, is irrelevant but ther is.
So, the big problem in all this is my Camera.
I got like 82MB free for programs. I can't believe is not enough!
Any prog working fine, Tom Tom too but if I go to turn on the Camera I got the windows message with: "Unable to initialize camera. There is not enough memory to launch the Camera. Do you want to stop running some programs?"
I press YES and automatically I pass to TaskManager for close some programs but There is not running any!!
So, if I turn off the HTC Sense (Manilla) from Home page after that I can use the Camera or make some Videos.
I hope someone know about solution because is unbelievable something like that.
Please, how can I fix it??

This mixture is wonderful and the phone look very cool.
I don't use many app so I can't tell much about ROM but for me is good.
Manilla working great and fast.
There is 1 bug in the graphix, on some page settings the icons botton to select the option, some icon is large and some other icon is slim, all not have same size. They working all and is not so bad, is irrelevant but ther is.
So, the big problem in all this is my Camera.
I got like 82MB free for programs. I can't believe is not enough!

Remove DUSK dialer. It's incompatible. That's it.

Thanks Vorenius, now the Camera working!
How is possible? The DUSK dialer is skin only, perhaps.
Do you know which dialer version or skin can I use?

I made it!!
I upgrade my blackstone with Miri Rom Premiun 21887 and all Dusk application warking fine. Now the phone is absolutely wonderful.
I have to thanks all Xda-Developers for the Great Work.
