Does anybody know if it's possible to get additional alarm clocks on the X1? I'm talking about the kind that comes built into the windows mobile clock. I'd like to get more than three, without having to download any third party programs or anything.
Is there a trick, or way to do this?
Without any other software, I don't think it's possible. But there are lots of software who do it, like the excellent G-Alarm, which is free.
Without third party software? No way!

After having my imate out of commission for awhile I was disappointed to see that the TodayPlus author folded altogether. Sadly, that was the one App that really defined my day to day use of my i-mate.
So the question is, does anyone know of a similar app or combination of apps that provided as much as that one plug-in?
I use WeatherPanel and also PocketWeather, both on the today screen. I also used Dashboard but I found it wasn't as flexible and STILL doesn't seem to support Phone Edition notifications etc. I did try the T+ and I thought it was great, though because of the problems with having to change date etc to get it working I deemed it more hassle than it was worth.
I would LOVE for someone to find a similar program or better yet, develop it. I can program in quite a few languages myself but I could never get emBedded C++ to work on my machine properly. Bah!!

You can force sound, even when you've set your WM sound to silent.
pTravelAlarm
pTravelAlarm is very nice, here is the link:

i think best one is Chronos but its not free. and ptravelalarm is too not free, isn't it?
enAlarm !!
+1 for MortPlayer - It makes a great alarm clock with some nice features - alarms can be set by weekday, for all workdays and weekend, plus a one-tome alarm.
And also, it's one of the best music players for windows mobile - sure, it's not as flashy as S2P, but it supports more formats and is way more CPU-efficient (and therefore more battery-friendly).

+1 for Chronos if you don't mind paying, especially if you use it to wake up. Chronos is the only alarm app that does increasing volume (i.e. start quiet and slowly increase until you wake up,) which is a must have IMO. It also has a nice (skinnable) full screen clock/screen saver. http://www.activekitten.com/en/games/detail.php?ID=351
I bought pTravelalarm before it, it is better if you want something really simple, but it's lacking in features.

Hi there,
I know this has been discussed over and over, but I cannot seem to find the answer without installing third-party applications:
I would like to have more items in the Start menu. Normally this wouldn't fit on the screen, but with the brilliant HD screen there can be at least 4 more.
Is there a way to do this without installing other applications. Can some registry-tweak help perhaps? Any help welcome!
Thanks in advance!
No one...?!
No one have the urge to have more startmenu-items too.?
I personally hate menu style of launching application. Tried such utility before on a VGA device, not sure if they still work on a WVGA device.
Small menu is one such program. It's free.

I much prefer to use something like iLauncher, or SPB Mobile Shell. They are more finger friendly, and takes less effort to launch IMO.
I agree...
Yeah i agree, i have tryied a lot af different 3´rd party aplikations over the years but i allway turn back to SPB Mobile shell og SPB Pocket Plus
Thanx for all the kind replies..
But as I said, I do not want to install any third-party software. I Like the Startmenu as it is, I only would like to ad a few buttons.
Any one else have a tweak for how to do this?
Really no one wanting more items in the Startmenu?
Anyone who knows how this can be done?

Hi there!
I have decided that I need something more business oriented for my diamond's today screen, so I am using Manilla control to work with pocket breeze (in order to get best of both worlds). Now what I need is a plugin which works well on my diamond, pocket breeze and manilla control and gives you time, missed calls and smss. I have tried to install the HTC Home plugin but i had to hard reset the phone ... since it did not want to get past startup! Thats why I decided to ask this time...
I m sure you have plenty of options and ideas ... maybe you could post a screenshot too of the application you propose...
Thanks,
Franklin
I'm in the same situation as you, I don't think you'll find a solution to directly integrate PB into TF3D. You'll have to change to another user interface that supports 3rd party plugins eg. Wisbar AD and a few others.
It's a shame HTC didn't include 3rd party plugin support in the new TF3D 2.
Yeah
Yesss... I know that you can't use both ... what I am asking is what plugin (3rd part) is compatible with manilla controller (used to switch between touchflo and today screen) and pocket breeze to add some phone info!
You mentioned on program there ..are there anyother ones worth mentioning? I wanted a HTC Home Plugin sort of effect (missed calls, sms and a clock)
Thanks for any replys.
Well for notifications, missed calls, SMS, Emails etc I use PhoneAlarm by PocketMAX, the latest version has many different types of skins etc and itself is a fairly powerful program.

Has anyone used this program on the advantage? It seems there is a 3d clock available similar to that of the HTC sense? I am looking to put this on my device but wondered if anyone had used S2U2? Any feedback on the performance would be great.
S2U2 is a program that is intended on device based windows mobile touch screen, so you can use it as long as your device still use WM os !!
you can try to get it on http://www.pocketpc-freeware.net/get-software-2247.html
S2U2 sure is one of the best lockscreen and info programs available.
To give credit to the developer, here is the original source:

And here's the XDA thread:

If you're looking for a particular clock, I'm afraid you will need to sift through lots of stuff for S2U2. There are some standard clocks in AC's "clock pack".
