When I used my Lolite in the beginning for sending SMS, I noticed that SMS stayed in my out-box and was only sent when I restarted the PDA. When I googled this problem, I found a similar question with a Touch Diamond. The proposed resolution was to change or make a register-key. I tried it and it worked for me too. So, for anyone with the same problem, this is the key:
In HKLM\Software\OEM\UMTS make a parameter with the name OpMode type DWORD with the value 1
After a reset it should work!

Hi,
I went on the DKToday post in this forum to get to the DKToday plugin and there also saw a couple of registry hacks to enable SMS Notification always on and also to remove the SMS Bubble. I set the same in my registry (PHM Reg Edit).
But DK Today gave me a problem as I also had PPC Profiles & also JGUI MYPHONE on the today screen. Hence had to do a Hard-Reset.
Thankfully had a backup and restored my PPC from the backup. Before restoring from the Backup, I was able to send SMS and also receive SMS but after restoring, am unable to access Messaging. I keep getting a Popup with 997:146:10
Unable to decipher what this error is. The 3 Hacks I added on to my registry were these
Try to switch bt profile using registry entry
---------------------------------------------
[[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\BTProfile]
"ON"=dword:00000001
SMS Notification Always On
--------------------------
[\HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings]
SMSDeliveryNotify = Dword (0x000001)
To remove SMS Notification Bubble
---------------------------------
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings]
Create New Dword Key value to 1 "SMSNoSentMsg"
All the 3 I have reset back to the other values but still getting the error. I really need to restore from this backup only as this is my latest & greatest. Also when I did this backup, I was getting SMS and sending easily and have never encountered this error.
HELP HELP PLEASE.....ALL HELP IS APPRECIATED
I dont know what kind of tweaks are they but the best thing to do is to hard reset. yeah i know it kinda crazy to install all over again, but for me i will hard reset it. Try another help from others maybe thay can help.
Yeah, a hard reset sounds like what you need.
One thing I miss about my old phone is the "sms sent" confirmation I used to get after sending a message. (also with a little animation).
It's really annoying to have to go round the houses to get to the sent folder to see if a message has been sent or not.
I had a whole day with a load of messages unknowingly sat in the outbox thinking they'd been sent which really annoyed me. It was only after I checked at the end of the day I found out they hadn't
Does such a thing exist for the diamond or is it too dependant on windows mobile.
Also still have not found a decent lock program that locks EVERY button (including the power) and stops me answering calls getting my phone out my pocket and the sleeve. Tied s2u2 and touchlockpro but they are still unreliable
What was wrong with "menu - star" like on the nokias. - Worked a treat !!!
Any help would be appreciated

Alright mate.
Can't help with the locking problem, but here's what you need to do to get notification of SMS sent...
Go to the "messages" tab in TouchFlo and click "all messages". Then click "menu", "tools" and "options". Click "* SMS\MMS" and make sure "Request delivery notifications" is checked.
I don't use this myself, but I just tested it and it works for me.
Hope this helps you out.
John.
I use the following tip:
Use any Registry Editor, such as freeware CeRegEditor or PHM Registry Editor, and navigate to the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings\
If “Settings” branch does not exist, create a New Key with name as Settings. Then highlight Settings, and then create a new String Value key with value name as SMSNoSentMsg, with its value data as 1.

... you're nearly right. You need to set the value to '0' if you wish to receive a notification that the SMS has been sent. If you set it to '1', you will not receive the notification (this is the default).
Nice one thanks guys. Went for the reg edit as didn't fancy getting a text back from operator every time I send one.
Just for the record yes the value of "SMSNoSentMsg" needs to be 0.
Again cheers for your help
Resurrecting this thread
I discovered this one earlier today, so far I'm liking it.
SMS Retry Notification
Enables/Disables a notification when an SMS message failed to be delivered. The phone will display a Popup displaying a summary of the message, to whom it was sent and when, and ask if you would like to try again.
[HKCU\ControlPanel\PhoneExtendFunction\CDMA] change PhoneExt_SmsRetry
0 - Disable (Default)
1 - Enable
My phone is a Sprint CDMA phone (hence the registry address) but hopefully it's not a Sprint setting and other CDMA phones and maybe GSM phones have a similar location.

Sweet. I also like the original setting in this thread. I like to know when my text is sent. I don't use text that ofte, s this is not an inconvenience to me.
I have just upgraded from Touch Diamond 2 and wow what a phone!!
I see this phone now supports group text by ticking who you want when you add recipient but it's limited to 10 contacts is there any way to lift this limit?
Dan
I remembered there was a registry edit that did this but a search resulted in nothing. Anyone?

For increasing the number of allowed recipients in group sms through default HTC SMS
Go to registry,
HKLM\Software\Jataayu\Messaging\MaxRecipients
Change from 10 to 50
Fine, work !
Tnx man
thanks alot it works for me 22222222222
Use BSB Tweeks.......the 1st MUST have!!
Use Cookie Home Tab mod with the CHT Editor.......the 2nd Must have!!!
Using both of these you'll find that most of your annoyances with your new HD2 phone will be resolved and both will provide you with functionality that you could of only dreamed of..
Have fun
I have the problem to send group sms to many recipients. Currently I have to add all one by one but Can I make groups to forward text directly. I am using group SMS but that is not as good as I have this functionality with TPC's ROM in Kaiser. I am missing this in HD2. I search on xda & on google but unable to find any solution yet. Please help.
Hello again!
Today I've encountered strange problem,
I am using WisBarAdv Desktop 2.5c version, till now I had working new/unread sms counter on my desktop, unfortunately now it is showing 0 despite the true number of new messages.
I made a soft reset but it solved nothing, then I looked into registry in HKEY_CURRENT_USER/System/State/Messages, there I saw that even in registry the number of messages is 0.
I have no clue how to make it working properly, if anyone could help me I would be grateful!
Best Regards!
//EDIT
I found solution for this problem, it suppose that entnering higher value for WisBarAdv Desktop start delay solved the case.
Hello,
I was able to send pictures up until a few days ago.....now when I try to send one I get a "cannot send message" pop up.
I recently was trying some of the suggestions to stop receiving the send confirmation message and sound and am afraid I may have screwed up the Registry.
Can anyone help me with this.
PS...I am on the BELL network if it makes a difference
I verified all the info below....and all is fine
1) HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\MsgTypes\IPM\Note\DLL
change the value from emform.dll to htmlnote.dll (in current firmware IJ6 this is already set)
2) HKCU\Sofware\Microsoft\Inbox\MsgTypes\IPM\SMStext\DLL
change the value from mms.dll to htmlnote.dll
3) HKCU\Sofware\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings\OEM\SMSInboxThreadingDisabled
change the value from 1 to 0
There are a couple of side effects to this though.
1) No name-type-ahead for the SMSes that you compose via tmail. You have to select the recipients from the address book. (This could be fixed if you disable T9 and enable the WinMo text prediction, read the Inputing section)
2) You're not able to MMS.
Would a HARD RESET fix all of the errors I caused?
Appears a Hard Reset solved all problems.....just a pain to get it back to where I had it....oh well.
