maybe you have some kind of this on your mobile storage?

Just search for registry settings in WM6 and change the transfer rate (64k default) to 128 or as I have it, to 256 and see the pictures fly in!

Could anybody prove they DO work together?
Hi,
Yes they do.
I got one off eBay and it was immediately recognised as 4gb by my JAMin. I had to buy a new card reader as my internal one would only read it as 1gb.
I bought one from Moby Memory for £7 which also doubles as a USB drive when the card is inserted.
Regards
For me working too without any Problems.. but i have to by a new Card Reader too
works with A-data 4 GB flawlessly so far. And my laptop's internal recognized it normally.
Cheers.
Great thanks everyone, just had some doubts. Now as soon as i am back in moscow i am getting myself one. /dont realy trst all those HK guys and btw in Moscow it's as cheap as there about 105 AUD for 4 Gb as here it is 195/, and

Transcend 4GB card
I bought the transcend one (4GB) from Newegg for ~86 after rebate...and it worked the minute that i put it in my Qtek S200....i was apprehensive as well, but after reading the posts here, i bought one and luckily it worked fine...now just waiting on the rebate....
Hello. Same as above, QTEK S200 + Transcend SD 4gb 150X
Everything works perfectly, even quite fast
I only noticed two flaws:
1) the start menu opening, if there are icons linked to programs on the card, is quite slow; just like the today panel had some difficulties reading the huge FAT32 table or structure.
2) photocamera only allows saving to internal memory and network path. Not to SD Storage Card space as before with 1GB SD ...
Any hint ?
Thanks everybody

Do you have more than 2GB of free space on the card? If so, try to fill the card to have less than 2GB of free space and it should be able to save photos to the card.
You can also increase speed by conversion (or format) to FAT16 with larger blocks, but its inefficient for small files because they take more space. Search the forum for details and how to do it.
i have taken photo and video to the sd card with no data and with 3 gigs of data on the card. no issues for me. once in a while it tells me i dont have space but i do a soft reset and problem is gone

Keywords: network path. It is Camera software restriction. Hide this by tweaker and camera soft will see Storage Card. The same fact with ExtROM unlocking.

Sorry but haven't understood.
We're talking about the Prophet Internal Camera. How could I format the SD card from elsewhere ?
Btw, I definetly guess that the problem is \network path, not the SD card dimension or allocation table.
For example, even using this hack:
sas90850 said:

I got the default save-to path to \network directory
It means that the camera options have only two allowed values:
0 = internal storage
1 = external storage
and if there's a "\network" path before "Storage card" (just like I always see in every installation procedure), only the first two can be seen.
I.e. network and NOT storage card.
Question is now: how could I hide such a service "network" path ?
I guess it was created by Resco Explorer for mounting remote directories, but I am not able to remove/hide it
Thanks

Set Resco Explorer Options Add-Ins to <as "My Network" root>
then check SKTools->Tune Up->System Tweaks->"Enable view network share in file explorer=No

You can
I formated the 4gb card with a cardreader. then inserted into the prophet.. worked without any problems..
and i can still store my pictures with the original camera onto the sd card.. just pulled the old card out, put the new 4 gb card in.. all settings were like before...
and yes, i can proof that this works

Yeah yeah
I absolutely agree, Tias.
I did the same...
but there was a language misunderstanding, as we were talking about the 4GB SD card seen by the Prophet internal camera (and the <network> issue is the clue, I guess), not an SD formatted by a photocamera as Noony advised.
Btw, Noony, NO PROBS! Thanks for trying..
Last, many thanks to Lvlx for the solution. I'm trying it soon and will let you know
Thanks again everybody
I'm glad I saw this anyway. I've used the registry tweak and now I'm very happy that photos store on the storage card
Hi
Its a registry hack just go to hklm/drivers/sdcard/clientdrivers/class/sdmemory_class and here modify the value of "Blocktransfersize" from 128 to 64 it fix the media player sound cracking but also slightly decrease the data writing speed on ur card. this will not harm ur card and ur card will work perfectly with ur card reader and if u dont use the card reader than when u want to transfer large amount of data(above 256 mb) u can increase this value upto 512.
Thanks... this solution works great on my WMP. Played music for almost 2 hours+
But, can u explain why the "Blocktransfersize" got to do with the cracking sound?

i dont know the exact reason but once i was listening music (cracking) and i noticed that if any program runs and use sd card then the cracking convert into smooth music so i try to put load on sd card by running applications on card then i decide to try some registry changes and got that.
Isn't there a similar key im registry for the WMP?
Since the problem only occurrs with WMP it shoulb be a key that only affects it and not one general for the device.
Anybody that as WM5 instaled can confirm the default value of the key? (curiosity)
Do anybody encounter any trouble with this hack ? plz share ur experience.
I can confrim this fix,
i dont notice any cracking on my WMP - do I have to do something special to see this?

well i do not believe that this is proper fix for WMP, this will decrease the transfer of read/write to the SD card, trough the sdcard driver. I am still thinking that this is WMP related problem not sdcard driver problem.
i try it, and wp works smoothly.
it work...but...
Hi,
Thanks for the tips. May not be a long term solution as mentioned by Xplode... but at least, it work for now.
Anyway, does anyone know how to fix the problem on video playback on WMP in full screen mode? i.e. landscape view on full screen. it is always playing back on portrait on full screen now. Any solution?
Thanks in advance!

When i play the videos recorded by the camera , everything seems to be good , but when switching to full screen mode , the video is damn slow. Can this tweak fix the problem ? or Any other solution proposed ??? Thanks .

if you have installed it in phone memory ...try to hard reset and the next time install the softwares on ur mem card...
most of my sws are in memory card and i alwaz install the sws in the memory card.
Programs installed on memory card make the device slower, especially if the card is high capacity (> = 2GB).
Also check out how much free memory you have on the device! Some of M2D themes are very heavy. Seen one around 10 MB size in the Dev/ Hack section . So if you loaded some of those themes .

Ya, in that case formating can be done as FAT32.

Dear playboy..
That Asphalt is a nasty app.. that redirects itself to Root, and eats up nice 4+ MB straight.. and more if you run it..
well thats more than enough to pull your Gene down.. especially if your fone is already loaded with apps.
Uninstall it, and delete residual files..
Use Oxios application to free ram / option to soft reset / Google it..
I think that should bring back 90% speed..
Hi all.
I just installed Tomal's new ROM WM65 v10 (64MB), so I can use SD cards of 4GB+. Thank you for that, so relieved that I can put more on my PDA now, via the increased SD card. I love the interface, looks really cool and works well. However...
The problem I have, and had the same situation before the ROM upgrade, is that if I install a game or utility to the SD card, most of them would have a blank/white icon, not a colour image. If I uninstall it and re-install to 'device' then the icon is there. What gives?!
Sorry if this has been asked before. I have trawled the archives to no avail.
My Phone...
ROM version: Tomal-10.00 WWE
ROM date: 20/10/09
Radio version: 1.14.10

Thank you!

try to use second setting for SD card setting under... settings\ sd card setting... it reads card fast and should show the icons faster ...
I use type-I (for some reason). But you can replace all Start Menu icons with png images which can be stored in your main memory (I use Icon Changer).
I know this is a work-around, but it works for me!
This could work
Thanks for the replies.
Changing the SDcard setting type doesn't seem to make a difference, the icons are still blank...
Looks like I can change the icons with Icon Changer that I just downloaded. Will make some PNG files ?!?!?
Thanks

It doesn't on mine. I think it's reading the SD card initially quite slowly. There's some settings in Advanced Config to maybe sort this out... but I haven't had time or patience to play with them. Sometimes when I switch Uni on, an App may close that was running from the SD card because it takes so long to find the card!

Dear all,
Lately with the help of other forum members I've noticed that my 16GB class 2 micro SD is not working well with all cooked ROMs. I use it at the moment with the 1.66 Stock ROM- the card is full of music, photos etc. and works perfectly fine. I believe that a lot of the cooked ROMs have some kind of problem with the driver for SDHC (class 2). I know the card is slow however it works perfectly on the stock ROM. Do you have any suggestions?
I have a 16 GB SDHC class2 Scandisk
I had the same problems with the speed
I have the following solution
With an external card reader, a full formatting with 32 kb cluster
then insert the card back into the HD2 and from there own distinct once the card with the HD
Formatting tools to format and optimize
This has helped me and since then I have had no problems with the speed more

What kind of formatting tool do you recommend. And do you think FAT 16 is better? I have read that FAT 16 with 64 kb is faster than FAT 32 with 32kb cluster.
if you format with fat 16 you have more waste with fat table
but you are right you loose space with fat 16 and win speed

I do not have any encription. Probably "all" is a bit exagarated.. and I do appologize by all means. I have tried the following ROMs: Dutty's, Miri's, Artemis, Laurentius, Energy (with this one I had less problems..), XannyTech and several others. I mean all the chefs are doing a great job but I kept wondering why the card is working well on the stock ROMs and not on the cooked ones.
So you guys recommend formatting the card on FAT16? I am gonna try and see. Thank you all.
I don't think many chefs are removing this module but maybe I'm wrong you never know.
My experience is not many chefs are XIP patching haha..

I finished formating and benchmarking. The results from FAT 32 and FAT are the same. Will try reflashing and see if there's adifference but at that points I doubt it. Question still remains open - Why the heck it works fine on official ROMs and not on cooked ones..
Maybe it has something todo with this tweak just a wild ques.
