Could anyone confirm is there a new firmware for the x1 on the sony ericsson updater?
http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/support/phones/topic/updateserviceapplication/x1
It's only SE update program which connect with phone in bootlader mode and then with SE servers and check if there any new firmware. Tested two days ago and no new roms was available.

IT APPEARS THAT THERE IS REALLY A NEW FIRMWARE FOR SWEDISH X1S:
THE FIRMWARE IS: X1i GENERIC SE CDF1215-3315
(QUOTED FROM XPERIAX1.NET)
ANYONE WITH A SWEDISH HANDSET PLEASE TRY AND UPDATE AND TELL US WHAT'S BEEN FIXED

I tried to update my swedish X1i, but it said that I already had the latest FW on the phone. My unit is from the first batch that sweden received and it appears to me that there's not a new FW yet.
This is the one I already had:
X1i GENERIC SE CDF1215-3315
I just checked and I live in sweden, it said I already have the latest upgrade
X1i GENERIC SE CDF1215-3315 and my phone is bought the first day in sweden.
No there is no uppgrade here in sweden, just checked..
the updater claims no flash 8 or higher installed. although i have flash 10 installed. any solutions?...
I can't even check, it gets stuck on bootloader and nothing happens, not on the phone nor the computer
This is whot I got for my swe
X1 firmware
I have a Swedish X1. Just tried to update firmware and got the message that the latest firmware is already installed. The one I have is the one mentioned earlier in this post (SE CDF1215-3315) - which then is what the phone shipped with.
How do I get through the page with 7 steps? I have connected the usb cable in boot loader...

Run IE on your machine, then install Flash. Most likely you have Flash 10 for Firefox.
Hi all,

But I thought I would let those of us who have not got it or downloaded it early that it would be availiable tomorrow...I hope you approve..
Dave,
I presume we can only install the leaked UK rom if our hero is rooted?
No, I have an Orange Hero which isn't rooted and you can update it using an update.zip file. Instructions are in another thread!
Is this a possibilty - my broadband at home is down due to BT being inept; could I download the update to my phone, transfer it to my laptop and then update? I'm a total noob so my apologies if there is an obvious answer
will it not be OTA ?
when I had my Dream android updates were Over The Air does this mean that when 1.6 Android comes out we will have to wait for HTC to sort it out before we can update unlike with normal android OTA updates ?

From what I have read, google updates i.e. donut, eclair etc will be OTA. However the HTC updates will need to be updated by connecting your phone to your PC.
Hope this helps...
This is great news indeed, I have been polling HTC website like a madman for days now!
Shame the "Nordic" update still didn't have all the Nordic languages, I'm missing Finnish dictionary. Oh well, speed update is really great anyways, I haven't had the guts to install anything unofficial to my UK bought Hero.
Thanks for bringing the good news!
Hi chaps,
I have a T-Mobile G2 - for my phone's warranty to remain intact, do I need to wait for an official T-mobile version of the Rom, or can I update with the official HTC Hero Rom?

Thank you!
any idea whn will tmobile release their own version??
yeah I have also T-Mobile G2 uk and I can't download from htc website. Can any one upload this rom and give us links unless t-mobile users can't use it. Cheers
Unless your Hero is unlocked, you can't download the rom.
THIS SUCKS!
Contact T-Mobile and complain to them then..! They DO have the ROM.. THEY are withholding its release!
Yeah, because complaining to T-Mobile always works.....
Seems to take aaaaaages to download!
well i just spoke to tmobile technical dept and asked thm abt the update and they were under the intention tht it is going to get pushed like it did for the G1, so I explained to them tht it wont as G2 Touch aint a google branded phone, and then the guy goes he has no idea and also checked his system if they had anything there, luks like we have to wait longer to get this update on our tmobile branded phones.

Hi. Can you do favor for me and others in Czech,Slovakia. Is in your flashed JPO possibility to switch to Czech, Slovak locale in localization settings and also swype input language ? Is it from samfirmware ? Thanks very much.

I feel your pain.. Still nothing on Orange UK either.
I emailed Orange to ask if they could tell me when it would be released, got this reply:-
"Thank you for your email regarding your Samsung handset.
I am sorry to learn that you are unaware of our process regarding firmware updates for Orange phones. Please accept my apologies for any inconvenience this has caused.
I would like to advise that Orange customers are not able to obtain firmware updates direct from Samsung themselves, this is due to the Orange branding that you have on your phone that allows you to use this on our network.
Please find below a link to our website where you are able to check in the future if an update via Orange has been released.
http://www2.orange.co.uk/servlet/Sa...96364420640&product=Feature&t=Product&tabid=1
Be aware that your handset may not be available on the listings until if or when an update is released.
When a new update is made available by a handset manufacturer they will pass a version of this to Orange so that we can run the required tests to confirm that this update they have released will co-exist with the Orange branding that you are required to use on your phone.
It is possible that the new update that is released may not co-exist with the Orange branding and thus we will not be able to release the update for the Samsung Galaxy, if they can not co-exist and we were to release this to your phone, this could effectively be detrimental to your handset and Orange will not process for this reason.
If the update version can not co-exist with the Orange branding then we will wait for Samsung to release a new update to which we will restart the testing process accordingly.
Be aware that it is not possible to advise of any estimated timescale for the testing of this update by Orange, furthermore, we can not guarantee that an update will be released at all regarding the Samsung Galaxy as the updates that could be released may never work alongside the Orange branding on the phone.
Because some of this information is speculative and based on situations regarding the testing of updates that may or may not ever be released by Samsung and the time it takes to complete the testing of the new updates, please accept my sincere apologies that we can not be more specific regarding your query.
As with the current Android update it has been released via an Over-The-Air format, this may be the situation for the the next available update, but this method we will not be able to confirm until the update is valid for Orange UK handset users when it has been released.
Please be advised that the answers to many common queries can be found in the Frequently Asked Questions section in the Help and Support option on the Home page of our website.
www.orange.co.uk
I trust this information clarifies your query"

You can always change back to what you need via Odin if you're comfortable with that. If not, wait for official Kies update or you'll have lots of work to do.

Model : GT-I9000
Firmware 2.2
Baseband Version : I9000XXJP
Kernel Version : 2.6.32.9 [email protected] #1
Build number : Froyo.XXJPO
Regards Jim
JPO from samfirmware sets product code to xxkor :/
While they claim that it is europian firmware, so ... and does not have cz/sk swype. I have backup of some important files so ot is not prob, but better is to be pattient and wait for official froyo. This is my advice for ordinary peoples.

Also will flashing an XEU ROM change my product code?

i'm O2 SGS user uk, updated my sgs last night to JPA via kies, didn't need reg edit hack... had jp6 (via kies using reg edit) previously. was available since 15/11/10 @ 2100 GMT, recommend rooting SGS via pc and OCLF, quad score before was 980 after was 1800.
much more solid compared to JP6.... need to fully test it but why you reading this get the new firmware!!!
forgot to add, needed to click the update firmware button more then once as i think the server which you download JPA from is quite busy, it is there though, thank goodness i don't need to deal with kies for a while!

Turn phone off, Hold the Vol Down button and turn on the phone. This will put it into bootloader mode with multicolour screen.
Plug the phone into windows and the serial should change to usb on the phone, then run the rom.
Good luck
Has anybody noticed any changes or can feature a changelog?
Anyone flashed this rom succesfully on german o2 HD7?

FYI
Phone info after Update:
OS 7.0.7004.0
Firmware: 2250.09.16101.207
Radio: 5.52.09.16_22.33a.50.10U
Bootloader: 1.61.2250.0(114451)
Updated fine, no issues so far but only updated 20 minutes ago
Wasn´t it meant to be pubished via Zune or online-update???
I thought windows phones should update itself with new updates.
I´m not sure if I shouldn´t better wait for an update via the official way.
It´s not that I flashed my HD2 hundred times without problems but I´m thinking if it wouldn´t be easier to update the "normal" way. Does anyone know whether the normal update style would backup settings and mails so that you don´t have to recreate everything on your own???

Thx for the quick answer. So is the firmware and the radio never updated by the push updates from MS???
What yould then be the normal way for the firmware-updates?
Htc Website??? there is no HD7 at the moment!
Please explain if you got further informations.
Updated to german O2 version. No problem so far. Seems to be a bit snappier. Graphics seem a little faster, also the phone boot. Reception shows up stronger. I found it interestant to see that the the intelligent phone app from HTC doesn´t reset anymore after reboot Thx for making me update the firmware !!!

they CAN update the radio/spl by air but I think that will come from your operator .
so HTC makes an update and sent it to your operator , the operator is signing the update (vendor ID) and then or sent it to MS (I think for releasing it over Zune) or release it on the operator website/by air

Hi all,
Here in the Netherlands the KE7 firmware is still not available. KIES keeps saying that KE2 is the most recent firmware.
I presume Samsung has some kind of release schedule, a planning of when and where KE7 will be released. Has this information been published somewhere?
All other relevant information about KE7 is welcome to, of course!
Thanks,
Gerard
The Netherlands
Same in Denmark!!
We also only have KE2 in DK!!
Guess the American's gets the crap first, and then they fixes the bugs..
When the bugs are fixed we get the god stuff in europe afterwards!!
Well
You could just load the KE7 firmware onto your phone with Odin
Just be glad you dont have a swedish 3 branded one, its on KE1.
KE7 released to network/phone providers you wait for network/phone to update firmware or not .
From Samsung released data provider to Kies between two weeks and never .
jje
Noticed this thread a couple lines down the page?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1089519&page=14
Thanks for your replies!
I've read that topic and didn't realize my provider is involved too, so I guess I'll have to wait a bit longer.
Regards,
Gerard
your provider isn't involved unless you have a branded phone, I don't think there are branded phones in Holland yet, vodafone doesn't brand anymore. It still sucks that we still didn´t get KE7, whereas the UK and Italy have it and Poland has KE4
you can check here:
http://fus.nanzen.se/
Ditto, I understand why provider branded phones take longer to recieve the update but why do country branded phones like UK and Italy get updates whereas Germany, Netherlands and others don't?

That could actually be great news. If there's an update with 2.3.4. in it that's imminent, it would make sense to pull KE7 and go directly to the newer ROM.
