I flashed my HD with Dutty's Extreme 2.6 using the SD card method but i did it while it is connected with the official charger. Now the phone won't charge with the official charger. It could still be charge via USB cable connected to my laptop and also from usb cable to a/c plug that i bought of ebay. I have tried connecting a different usb cable to the official charger but it still won;t work. The charger it self is not broken as it still chrges my diamond.
Anybody can suggest any solution?? Radio update perhaps??. Such a waste of a fine accesory if it doesnt work

I can't locate a usb bob to test ultra-tiny pins on mini? usb so it's hard to triage this issue.
I bought sync/charge and charge cables from BoxWave...they work perfectly and allow me to charge my 8525, S9, 820 and Holux GPS from a battery pack, wall xformer, car charger usb, etc.
I then bought charge cables from JAVOedge.com and they don't work...they do charge my friend's 8525 though.
The JAVOedge cable won't charge my 8525 but will charge my Holux GPS.
Both charging cables are 2-wire and charge/sync cable appears to be 3-wire.
Although JAVOedge doesn't charge my 8525 when it is powered up...noticing another forum thread I powered 8525 down and now it DOES seem to be charging...at least orange light is on.
I recently bought Targus ultra-slim hub, VEC414S and Tumi Universal Slim PS....yet can't get a lockdown on exact usb charge-only cable reqts.
Why can I connect ANY device via USB directly to computer and it always charges with vanilla usb....yet same usb connected to powered standalone usb hub or charger/battery no workee. Is this due to 1A from computer usb and only 500ma from hub?
Any ideas? I'm confused without approp. BOB to check pins with multimeter.

I have an HTC Tytn and it will not charge when connected to a charger but will only charge if it is connected to my PC via USB.
Chargers
Hermes will only charge from an original or hermes replacement charger...for example a motorola or blackberry charger wont do it.

Your charger is probably defective.
The trouble is, charging via a PC jack doesn't work as well, it will take noticeably longer to get to a full charge.
Cheers.
Have you dropped the charger or something?
Sounds like somethings wrong with it if the phone will still charge on pc usb
put it on charger. softreset with stylus. It will restart and charge through normal charger.
Long story short, I flashed to CM6 a while back when RC1 was released and was happily using it for a bit. I encountered a situation that randomly appeared somehow (probably involved using a non-mt3g usb car charger but I don't recall the specifics) where my USB functions did not work anymore.
The phone will not mount the sdcard via usb, adb and fastboot does not detect the phone via usb, and the phone does not charge when "on" but I found out it charges normally when "off" using any charger (official mt3g charger or the usb car charger) and will be fully charged within 2hrs on the 1A wall charger.
I haven't found a solution yet and I've been debating whether it is a hardware/software issue. Any input would be helpful
Oh the headphone/mic attachment works fine as well but that is probably not related to the standard mini usb port/pins since the htc extusb includes pins for audio in/out
Anyone got the same issue?
I cannot charge my G2 via PC or laptop USB. I am using a different cable though.
I've read somewhere that the needed output for a charger to work is 2.0amp, but this is already a USB connected to a computer!
If the charging doesn't work, that means i cannot connect it to the PC at all since it was never detected.
Is it the cable that has problems? This cable that I was using was still working perfectly fine yesterday with my other phone though.
Unless it is usb 1.0 it should only be the cable

computer and car charger not working
Me and the wife have LG G2 from Verizon and our phones will not charge from the computer or using our car chargers. Also, two of my 3rd party wall chargers will not put any charge on it. It thinks it is charging, but it doesn't and the percentage continues to drop. Very disappointing.

I don't know where you got the 2.0 amp from, but it's wrong. The charger that comes with the phone is only 1.8 amps, so you don't need a minimum 2.0 amps to charge the phone. If you plug in a lower amperage cable, you should get a warning that it will take longer to charge and you should use the charger that came with the phone. Haven't tried plugging into my pc yet. I should probably do that now to transfer some ringtones....
Anyone else having this issue after the latest update? I can charge my phone fine with my Samsung adapter and cable, but when I try to use any third party charger (like Aukey), the phone doesn't recognize that it's plugged in and will not charge. I can use the same cable and adapter on my son's phone and tablet, so the cable and charger are fine, but my phone will not recognize them no matter what I do, not even my car charger.

Everything's fine here. In the car, I use the Aukey QuickCharge 2.0 charger & my GS7E charges just fine.
