how to use arabic on hardware keyboard - XPERIA X1 General

hello all
the only way to use arabic is to use the SIP keyboard. is there something beside the arabiser that i need to install to have the ability to use the hardware keyboard to type in arabic
thanks
ps the shift+space does not work

you have to install Multi Language support to use shift+space function

would you please provide the link of that. the only thing i installed is the 1.2MB cab mobidiv 416 that also works on wm6.5 from CE4arab

THE GRIZZ,
Would you please provide the link to that arabic enabler that you used on 6.5?
The official arabic that came with my X1 does not work on any custom ROM.

this is the arabiser that i use it works fine even on 6.5. not sure its the same as the original poster version.
i think i need to install something else to enable the hardware keyboard

Thanks alot man.
Works like a charm.

does this version allow you to type using the hardware keyboard??

Im not sure about to do that. I never use hard keyboard for writing arabic, only use soft keyboard for that.
But no, shift + space does not work with the posted arabic lang.
Anyway. Why do you want arabic on hard keyboard when it does not have arabic letters printed on it?

because memorizing the location of they keys is not much of a problem if you get used to them. + i would not be surprised if you find someone selling they keys with arabic
i was informed that SE included a 128MB sd flash with the arabiser (including hardware keyborad support) for the X1s they sold in Arab countries. would someone post the content of this flash card

Oh that one was posted here before a while ago.
search the forums, you will find it.

no but I can use the T9 from the virtual (onscreen) keyboard, thus I thought a language cab wouldn't be necessary.
Do you think I'm missing languages?
Edit: I think I have wrong mapping in the et9.Nike.20Keys.409.kmap.txt. Can you post me yours if you have a working hw kayboard?

Will UNLOCKING my HD2 Solve the problem ?

Hello
i have the T-mobile version of the HTC HD2 phone,i downloaded a patch from HTC Worldwide website that allows Arabic language support on my phone( its in .exe format) but when i tried to install it,it kept saying that the file can not be opened.
MY QUESTION is will unlocking my device allow me to install that file? because the HTC CS said the patch was released for the European version of the phone, so i was wondering if unlocking the phone will allow me to install patches that are released on other versions of the phone on my T-MOBILE version.
Please Advice, any help will be appreciated...
thank you

I may be wrong (been known to happen a time or two) but I would say no. As the T-mobile and European versions have many differences. I am sure there is a way to get what you want but if you try to run something for the European version you will most likely get a wrong device ID error. I would search around the site or email HTC about it
I believe the MOBIDIV Arabware HTC 454 uses the same files from the official HTC update: http://www.mediafire.com/?4jzi3em3nyt
I am not sure since my phone will be arriving tomorrow. Once I get it I'll be trying it out.

MBIDIV will add arabic suppor to your t-mobile htc hd2 (US); you can have your phone all arabic or english with arabic enable so you can read, write, send sms or recieve sms in arabic + arabic keyboard...Im sure you will love this app...check the attachments I have uploaded with screenshot of my arabic keyboard.

Man i really do appreciate your upload and taking time to post the screenshots,
after searching and googling for hours i found out that ur method is the best and most stable for HD2 TMOB US version, however if u r interested i also found out that there was an update for the current version of MOBIDIV that u r using, it was released on 3/29/2010 ( urs was released on 1/28/2010 ) and it was made just for the HTC handsets, its called now "MOBiDIV_Arabizer_454_EN_AR_6.5_HTC_20100329_TSD"
but i am not sure wat is the difference between this version and urs ( only that the size of the older ver. is about 5 MB and the newer is about 2.8 MB )
BIG THANX TO ALSALAHI " u r the man bro ", and if anybody knew the difference between these two versions of the arabic support cabs please share ur thoughts
and THANX to TSD and the other guys on the "ce4arab" website
best regards
one last question: is that sms fix cab u uploaded for fixing the issue where the words in arabic sms are shown from left to right instead of from right to left?
this version you have attached has all arabic support but NO ARABIC KEYBOARD I have tried it before but then removed and installed the version I have uploaded here.
and yes the sms fix, will fix the arabic problem with sms..so you will need it.

I figured it out. What you have to do is click on the keyboard and go to other input methods and select xType Keyboard. Unfortunately it is only a soft keyboard but it works. It takes a couple seconds to show up. Is there a way to install the keyboard as a system keyboard where you can switch between the default language like you can do with German and Spanish etc.

I actually went ahead an installed the EZinput (your second attachment) which added an Arabic option above the English option in the keyboard settings. It actually gives you a "system keyboard". Give it a try!

I'm not sure how to make the browser support arabic. But for the arabic keyboard, you can try one of these apps:
smart Keyboard
Perfect Keyboard
both support arabic well and both are easy to configure and use.
If you can't find them on the market use google
^^
Or use MultiLing Keyboard, found in Market.
You have to install the plugin first.
Thanks a lot for ur replies. I'll try these choices.
