MSVC keeps announcing emails - Touch HD General

I have the latest Dutty ROM which includes MSVC (Microsoft Voice Command). What really pisses me off is that the unit keeps announcing emails as they arrive!! And over the speaker tooo
In the MSVC settings I have:
Unchecked "messaging" in the list of what is voice enabled
Unchecked "Announce new messages" in the options of messaging
Set "Announce notifications using bluetooth handsfree only" in the Notifications
What is going on? How can I stop my phone from announcing emails?

sms alert problem

hi guys
I find problem whenever an incoming sms comes. I can't hear any alert or sound which i assigned. when i go to notifications & alerts. Its weird I notice that the "PLAY" checkbox is unchecked automatically for "Messaging New text mail" but perhaps I had checked option to play the alert. I don't know why its happening.
I have installed the following applications in my Today screen.. Phonealarm, claunch & Vitosoundexplorer. I have a doubt is it due to phonealarm settings.. its causing problem. because I saw the settings for phonealarm, where it as option to alert for SMS. and alert assigned is "system" I tried to change that and assigned my own alert. but even then only when sms comes. it only beeps once. is it the phonealarm taking over... kindly suggest what to do.
thanks and regards

No sound via e-mail

When I get an e-mail it displays on the envelope from Pocket MSN, but I don't hear a sound that I installed in the setting. What Iám doing wrong?
have you tried to preview the sound?
also in settings/sound & notifications make sure "Programs" is ticked for enable sounds for.
hope this helps
I have tried to preview the sound, and it worked. I have done the same by sms and when I get an sms I get a soundnotification, but when I receive an e-mail I don't get a soundnotification.

Voice mail notification

Sorry if I am missing something, but how can I get a voicemail notification icon to appear on my phone. I get the mail notifications, but not a seperate one for voice mails.
Also does the TyTN have any connection issues with the Parrot 3400 and the new Parrot 6000?

Click to collapse
Under 'sounds and notifications' you need to ensure that the section [Phone: Voicemail] has 'display message on screen' selected.
Thanks very much!
So the tytn bt can conect with the gps and with the phone simultanesly ?
im thinking in an parrot 3400 but not sure if no problems ll appear

xv6800 no sound notification when new email message arives

I have went to settings and "sounds and Notifications" and set the a sound for "new e-mail message" But when I get emails I the sound never plays. It is checked. Has anyone else had this problem?
Do you have MS Voice command installed? This happened to me when I selected the announcements. Most of the time that didn't work either . I deselected the announcements and my notifications came back.
I don;t think I have MS Voice command installed. I never did install it. Where do you delsect announcements ?

Switch off new e-mail notification, but still have sms/vm/missed call etc?

Hi
I've gout my Touch HD syncing with Exchange Server, and so constantly get a 'Notification' on the screen that requires dismissing, as new e-mails arrive.
(I thought I would be able to go to Settings > Sounds & Notifications > Notifications, then find the Messaging: New e-mail message and uncheck the 'display message on screen' but this isn't checked)
Are you only able to switch notifications on or off globally? I guess you still get an icon to indicate a missed call or sms.... what do other people do?
Thanks for any advice / comments
Try one of the Tweak software packages out there, I am sure there is something in there for notifications.
Regards
Tweak HD lets you switch SMS sent notifications on/off, but that's all.....
