My carrier has two diffrent rates for surfing. data connection and wap connection. the wap one is much cheaper than the data one. i've been told by my carrier that surfing from the wizard is considered as data since i can view normal html web pages and use messenger, e-mail, etc..
my question: Is there any way to surf wap using this phone (like installing a diffrent web browser?)?

This sounds strange to me, because the difference (from operator's POV) should be which access point you use. When WAP was free for me, I browsed everything from my SE P800 with no additional cost.
But you can't access e-mails, ICQ, ftp etc. via a wap access point, only HTML or WML pages!
I have the settings in my phone for wap surfing. but i can't see any normal html sites while using it.
the thing is that there is a way of configuring a regular pc to use the phone as a modem and then access everything via WAP, using a proxy server. i thought maybe i can do the same thing in the phone itself.

I want to use my Universal to surf the web at the university using the wifi. The problem is that the network use a proxy server. I found how to change it in the connection so that I can surf with explorer. My problem is that I still can't connect skype or windows live messenger.
Anyone can help me?

I'm trying to write a system wide proxy application.
i noticed that the proxy settings apply only for GPRS connections but not the WiFi connection.
i have been looking in the Forums but could not find the registry / or tweak to do so. I have WM5, 6.1, 6.5 to test and verify
could anyone help me?

can you also include using two proxy at the same time just like in nokia s60 fone using opera mini w/ its own proxy and shmessenger's own proxy server at the same time just like using two proxy at the same time im using atom life

Hi I'am into hosting business asd I use my tab for:
1) checking emails while i'm on road
2) answer clients support tickets (whmcs android client)
3) server monitoring
4) ssh to servers as and when needed using connect bot ssh client
5) live support to clients on irc using android irc while i'm on road
6) occasional gaming
7) internet surfing on road
What do you guys use your TAB for?
