I bought a black one off ebay for about ten bucks. It fit great, but it only lasted about three months. It cracked where the stylus goes in. Now I'm looking to replace it. I'd really like to have a bright orange one. I'm a University of Tennessee graduate. I have seen them in red, blue, and pink and of course black, but orange would be perfect.
Thanks in addition if you can help me out with a link.
Try Seidio (do a search on this forum). I've used it for close to a month now and it stays put, and feel great ..
According to their website, they don't make one in orange.
Other colors are readily available on ebay for under ten bucks (red, blue, pink, black, etc...) and do the job fine. I just want an orange one to support my Vols!
found a link in the wiki...
unfortunately out of stock atm, but there is an option to be emailed when more are in.
i wish i ordered when i saw it, expensive, but i want one anyway, and they had some... YESTERDAY!

I saw that...I'm looking for a rubberized case.
I want a rubberized protective case that fits over the OEM housing. Also, that color is not Tennessee orange. lol
I've done a bit of research on this forum. The consensus is that Seidio is great, although it's expensive. The cheap ones from ebay has tendency to chip and fall off easily.
At least my experience so far is great!

Can anyone, please, confirm that white Trinitys are not peeling... I would like to buy the original white housing and it's not that cheap just to find out that it peels as well.
Thank you!
I have a white Trinity for about one year and no peeling.
Thanks again! That's what I needed to hear.
Also one year no peeling with WHITE.
I have black for 3 months....and no peeling
The FD do you keep it in a case all the time, or one of the silicon type cases ( goes around the phone to protect corners and edges ) ?
No I carry it around in my trouser pocket all the time. Everywhere I go it goes. I do look after it, I never have anything else in the pocket. No keys or coins. But never in a case.
It shows no sign of the paint peeling. 3 of us at work got the same phone all black and none of them show any sign of peeling.
White trinity here, for about five months and no peeling at all, no scratch either (the white material don't scratch).
No peels, no scratches, on white ones? How come they insist on selling only black ones (HTC branded) in Europe? I really take care of mine but that is of no influence - it peels terribly. Now it looks like it got some skin disease or something. I've never seen such a problem on any other non-Trinity device ever.

Maybe because European sales executives think it fits more the local taste. Especially for male users or professionals.
But it's a matter of fact: the white one is like the plastic itself is just a kind of varnished white material, while the black one is like a thin lay of black paint pasted on top of another material. Therefore there is no way to scratch or peel the whites, while the blacks are so fragiles.
Those sales executives suck. They've never heard that, for example, Nokia makes a fortune on exchangeable covers...

Had a black one: peeling after 3 month. Had a second black one: peeling after 3 month.
Have a white one now for more than 3 month (which I bought from a guy in switzerland, not really europe in terms of political matters but geographically it's definitly europe... )
no peeling at all, no fingerprints, no (visible) scratches.
Get a white one if you can.
if somebody is interested in buying a used white one please pm.
White is perfect
Just switched to white. Perfect housing !
Go for it !

Sure is, you can buy spare parts from here:
http://cnn.cn/shop/p3600-trinity-c-277_278.html
BTW, the white case I have (From Orange UK) is actually a white plastic inner case covered with a clear plastic case, so it's not painted and therefore won't ever 'peel'

find a protector for the iphone, cut it a little with a scissor and it sould be it
I have a Brando Ultraclear in the mail. I have used those for all my devices since the S/E K750i. Their fit is not always 100% but they do the job well

well, the screen is different than normal touch phones.. uses the same mechanism as the iphone were it registeres the electricity in your finger's instead of the actual pressure.. thats why it needs to be some kind of speciel protector.. so my guess is that one that works on the iphone would work on the magic
I got this from Amazon:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0028E7HMU/ref=ox_ya_oh_product
and its REALLY great: perfect fit, bubble free, absolutely transparent
I like the Invisible Shield full body skin. Unfortunately they haven't made on for the Magic yet, BUT they have made it for the G1 and you can either get the full body or just the screen. Now I am assuming the screen on the G1 and the Magic are the same so if you just want the screen protection, go for that one.

thanks but... Doh! Too late for me
ive installed invisbile skin on ipod touch before and are there like places where water can get in when applying the skin onto the magic?
I must say that the InvisibleShield is rather a sh*t product. I bought the full body kit and was not happy at all. It was not cut properly and what even worse looked cheap on my phone. I removed all of the parts but screen and back panel. After 2 weeks the back panel went yellow and all the edges lost the glue making it fold outside. What even worse is that on the description it says that all the micro bubles will disappear in time. Well they do not. Oh one more thing, while mounting it on your phone you will have to wet it all with some kind spray they provide and leave it for like 24h to let it dry. DUDE THAT IS THE WORST THING THAT EVER HAPPENED TO ME.
got mine from ebay user dcmugen. i got the matte finish one and it of the same quality as all other screen protectors. the matte one has this grainy look to it though but all of them have that as well so no deal breaker there.
http://www.dcmugen.com/
you can check the various different screen protectors there. plus he has videos of what they all look like. has privacy glass, mirror finish, matte finish, regular gloss and whatever else there.
My t-mo phone came with one, I would imagine that they sell them in the stores as well?
ya i didnt like the one that came with the mytouch. way too greasy and fingerprint magnet. aftermarket ones are much better imo
I tried a screen protector I got off eBay, there are heaps of Chinese dudes selling them for a few bucks plus postage.
I didn't like it, it made the touch screen less responsive and imprecise. I ended up taking it off.
Just a heads up in case anyone was waiting for them.
Im Still a NOOB so can't post links but its at case-mate's website
1. Shouldn't this be in the Vibrant Accessories section?
2. They look exactly like the ones you can get on eBay for $5...?

1: Yes
2: No. The ebay case is not as sleek, It also has two slits at the top and bottom for flex. The ebay one offers no protection at all for the bottom of the case, where the Barely There does.
Or These. Pretty much the same.
Search on ebay: 220656738248
Its the item number

Same reply as my other. This is the same case as the other ebay case. It offers no protection for the bottom of the phone, but the Barely There does. Neither offer any protection for the top. I am gonna wait for the slider case.
either Ebay or the silder
I just ordered one of the Barely-There cases.
Earlier, I had gotten one of the Ebay TPU cases, but while cheap, they are worth what they charge for them
It had a slightly oily feel, but it was more or less fine, except that it was a real pain to turn the phone on and off, so I took it off.
The barely there case looks very similar to the Go-Go case I had on my iPhone, which was great and well-made.
I just received my black Case-Mate Barely-There case.
It's the perfect case, IMO.
It's well made, has a nice feel and it's hard to tell that the phone has a case on it. It's as good as the GoGo case I had on my iPhone.
One unexpexted plus is that it makes the Power button on the Vibrant much easier to find by touch and easier to press - the cutout is perfect for my thumb to find and fit in, and then I just press lightly and it works. I kind of disliked the position and the feel of the Samsung Power button until now.
Great case.
The TPU case I bought from EBay is going in the trash.
I'm very glad to hear this. I ordered one, but haven't received it yet. It really looks to be the least intrusive case I could find.
Anyone have any idea where I can pick up an Original/OEM Motorola Defy Shell so I can swap out the white parts and use black?
Thanks!
i think you will have to wait a while because manufactures wont sell the full shell because it sugests they want you to open it up which they realy dont
ful shells normally come from non working phones that have been disassembled
I bought the black model. But the Chinese generally like the white model more and call it panda
That's hilarious I ended up buying a TPU case, and am waiting for it to arrive. Had to settle for a "crystal smoke" one. Surprised that no one's making a solid black tpu case!
Defy cases
I had looked at quite a few cases and did not like any of the cheap looking silicone skins.
The two cases that looked the best to me were the Otter Box Commuter Case and the Amzer Skin. Ultimately I went with the Otter Box and I really like it. Here are the links if anyone is interested.
http://www.amazon.com/Otterbox-Moto...sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=mobile&qid=1298829799&sr=8-1
http://www.amazon.com/Amzer-AMZ89382-Silicone-Jelly-Motorola/dp/B0043D2OFY/ref=pd_cp_cps_2
I have previously used the PDAir cases for my PDAs and they seem Ok but I'm up for a challange. My previous phones have lasted quite a while but even so.
Thanks for the links and info
Morning all,
To all you UK oppo find 5 owners (I'm assuming I'm not the only one!) - have any of you come across a UK supplier selling accessories? I bought a case from ebay but it's coming from China and will take about 2 weeks to arrive. I quite fancy the flip cover being sold on oppo's official site but I think 35 Euros (includes delivery) is a bit steep.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
Much the same as you unfortunately. I ordered a couple of cheap Nilkin (knockoff?) cases from eBay 2 weeks ago but still not received them. They don't protect the top and bottom so are really just for rear scratch prevention.
Yesterday I looked at loads on Aliexpres (China suppliers) and grabbed a rubbery TPU that at least covers all sides and has a little bit of impact protection. I've also gone for a couple of those Aluminium (read signal killer!) cases as they were on offer forĀ£22~ delivered compared to other places like Taobao agents or Casefanatic where the price is almost double.
Not sure we'll ever see UK sellers unless it's at inflated prices given it's not a mainstream phone. Might do a mini-round-up when/if they all arrive as it's hard to tell from just pics.
Here's my list...not really expecting any of them to be perfect. :cyclops:
eBay Nilkin
Alu case (ordered 1 black and 1 silver)
Plastic red snap-on (no idea if this will be decent or not)
TPU stretchy thing (might be good for grip with pattern?)
Bit of a shot in the dark with those but don't really see the Easy Cover worth the price given the top/bottom are exposed and I'm not a fan of wallet-type cases.
