Family,
I have done a lot of searching and I do currently have a proclipuse.com mount, but I need a GOOD windshield mount for travel in rentals. I have a Verizon touch pro and would like one with no vibration if possible. Any recommendations?

I am trying to figure out, which car mount works best with the Jamin/s200?
I am thinking about purchasing the Brodit Proclip from www.proclipusa.com - is anyone using this car mount with the Jamin/s200?
Proclipusa.com has a device holder for the Jam/s100, which is 100% compatible with the Jamin/s200, correct??? :?:
yes, they are very good. At least I think so.
See responses to your post on HoFo
You can't go wrong with the brodit products. They are a little pricey but top quality. I have got the active swivel holder for the qtek s200 and it works very well indeed.
Just buy it you won't have any regrets.
Very impressed with mine also, a bit pricey but good quality and made for a neat installation.
Which option are you guys using?
The holder, which fits into the center console or the one for the air vent?
Also, if I have multiple devices, is it a rather easy task to switch out the device holders (I guess, I can use one mount for different holders, correct?)?
Hi,
You can use a 'Moveclip' This enables you to have x1 Proclip installed on your dash area, and fix the moveclip female part to the Proclip, and the x2 male parts to the back of 2 Brodit holders, meaning you can switch devices on your dashboard, be it JAMin or Tomtom, ipod etc.
Hope that helps, heres a link to view:
Cheers!

Thanks bryson!
Perhaps you also know if I can put in a car charger into the non-active holder (directly into the device) without any trouble?
The active holder seems a little big and I dont really see the advantage on the picture compared to the non-active holder?
Whats the advantage of the active holder?
Thanks!
No probs, glad to advise:
If you already have a cigg lighter charger for your device, then the passive holder is your cheapest option. Its easy to plug it into your JAMin (UK this is known as the Xda Neo) just plug into the bottom and slide it into the holder, job done!
The advantages of charging holders are:
It has the dock connector so just slide the device in and job done.
If you dont have a in car cigg charger, active holders are your best option, both for practicallity and cost.
Other than that, the 'hardwired' versions are a bit different, (also more expensive) as you can hide the cables, power a GPS BT device and have a more pro install look in your car.
Click the link here for all the devices available for JAMin etc

I have an AT&T HTC FUZE, and this is the car mount I wish existed. If it does exist, can someone tell me where I can get it? If it doesn't exist, can anyone with the right connections recommend it? (*cough* Brodit?)
I would love an active car mount that mounts into the cigarette lighter. I've seen one universal cigarette lighter mount, but it doesn't actually function as a charger. I would also love it to have a 3.5 MM jack, so I can plug it into the AUX of my truck and listen to music as well.
Anyone think this will get made? Seems like a very logical design, so you don't have to mount it to a windshield, and it can be easily transferred to other vehicles.
Here is a link to the passive version as an example. Obviously it doesn't have a 3.5 MM jack either.

On a side note, what's with there being no desktop cradles that give you a 3.5 MM jack? If you put the phone on a cradle, it's impossible to hook it up to speakers without it.
Is there anyone else that would want a mount like this? If no one replies, I guess there is no market for it.

I dont see a huge market for it since many people like there phones at vent level (think nav), not near their knees.
I would like such a car cradle. It eliminates the unsightly wire to a distant lighter port. If the neck were long enough, it could extend to vent level. Somebody please make one for the Fuze!
Have you checked http://www.proclipusa.com/? They have several options for the Fuze. You then pair it with the vehicle mount designed for you vehicle. I have a Ford E-150 full size van and the vehicle mount for my vehicle puts my device at the perfect location. The vehicle mount snaps in place. They do not have a custom vehicle mounts for every vehicle, but if they do, it is normally in a good location.
Proclip USA carries them. They have several options available. Check the link in the post above.
You mean like this: http://www.griffintechnology.com/products/tuneflexaux
Since looking for one like this for my wife's iPhone (which they didn't have at the time but now there's a few) a while back I wanted to get it for my iPod but now I'm badly wanting one for the Fuze. I've searched high and low since getting my Fuze but I just don't think it's out there or is going to come out. I think I might settle for the console mount Proclip since it mounts right in the area I like, near the power socket.

EXACTLY LIKE THAT!!! Well, it's good to know the idea has been designed and sold for the Iphone, but unfortunately, they get all the accessories in the world to choose from, and the Fuze gets very few. Here's to hoping someone snatches up this idea for the Fuze.
FUZE Active Mount w/3.5mm out AND Open/Close Keyboard
I would like to add the capability to flip the phone horizontally and open the keybaord while not having to take the phone out of the mount. Does anyone think there could be such a thing? Can there be if not?
Chris
Hi has anyone found a car mount which would allow me to hold my HD in Landscape mode for navigation (also must be able to charge whilst mounted) - thanks!
Yup, I got a Brodit one and love it. The car mount and then the device mount are bought separately and cost me £40, but it's a very nice holder...
This is what I had for my kaiser and just ordered one for my touch hd. it's cheap and does the job very well.

Hey guys, I know I should post this on a Wolkswagen forum or something like that, but I think I won't receive replies. You are "the pro's"
I'm about to buy a 2008 Wolkswagen Polo 1.6 sportline.
It mounts stock 2din radio, but I'd like to remove it and mount a tablet like Nexus 7.
Do you know if it is possible and which is the easiest way?
I was thinking about disassembly stock radio and use his body for hold the tablet that is placed in a cover.
That looks like pretty easy, but will the tablet fit there?
How can I connect power supply, audio out and an female USB cable for easily update my track list, my ROM or watch a film through USB device?
Could I use a Bluetooth GPS for use it with gMaps / Waze , right?

As long as your nexus 7 is 3G you could use the navigation.
You can do it but it's going to require a lot of custom work. I would forget about trying to use the stock radio as a holder, you will want to build a custom mount out of fiberglass and metal or MDF. Fiberglass is easy to work with for stuff like that, and when its finished you can sand and paint and clearcoat it and it will look as good as the exterior paint.
You will want to use a kernel like Faux's with USB OTG which allows a Y OTG adapter to be plugged in so you can charge while you have an external storage drive connected, or use a USB mouse and keyboard on one plug while charging the other, etc.
The tricky part is going to be if you want to use the Nexus 7 as your receiver. I'm thinking your best bet is to go with a nice receiver/head unit with bluetooth, and mount it somewhere hidden if you don't want to see it.
The Pioneer App Radio and other similar head units will work with a lot of apps from the play store to communicate apps with your receiver. and vice versa. You could mount it in the dash also, or you could mount a smaller radio without the LCD and everything under the seat or in the glove compartment, and either use the remote or hack the nexus 7/USB to be hardwired.
Check out this guys link. Obviously those statements up above are just suggestions/ideas to get the thinking process started
http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/AppRadio/AppRadio+2+(SPH-DA100)
I used to have an installation business and build a lot of custom interiors for my own show trucks and for friends and fellow club members, stuff like that. I don't know about the inside of a Nexus 7 and hard wiring it to work with the "brain" of a nice head unit to control the inputs and outputs and tuner and all that business.
But feel free to send me a PM if you want to discuss things I'm familiar with or just brainstorm.
So I am looking for a cup holder style car mount for my OP6T. I have used two from amazon that after 5-6 months each, broke and no longer would open up to place the phone on the holder. Anyone using one that works well for them?
Probably doesn't much matter but this would be going into a 2004 Mini JCW. I appreciate any suggestions or feedback.
