Well, after looking for an not finding what I wanted...I just decided to build it.
#1 - place to compare ROMs and Kitchens..with filter and sorting.
#2 - place to keep track of my own personal ROIM experiences
#3 - place to keep track of cabs I load (how many cabs do you have on your storage card you have no idea what it is)
So I built up this Sharepoint site and gave a bunch of Cookers rights to post their stuff.
I would LOVE it if I could get some Coders to post their stuff too. It's really pretty easy. And since it's not really an interactive sight...you only have to do it once...you don't have to monitor it continuously.
So, now I'm going to the public.
Here are some screenshots of the basic idea

Here are some of the cool stuff you can do with lists:
filter By Carrier
Filter By system
here's where users can track their experiences with different ROMs and Kitchens
Here they can track stuff on different Programs and Cab and such.
So....after all that...
The site is located at : http://sp.textultant.com/Mobility
The URL will redirect you there : http://TheMobilityExperts.com
Please understand that adding users is not automatic and somewhat cumbersome....I will try to process requests as soon as I can...but I just want to set expectations...It may by 24 hours or more in some cases. since I'm the only Admin right now.
Hope you like it...There's a survey out there on the site to let me know what you think.

Guys, I've updated my old VJSMS and VJDialer to be slighty more compatible with WM5; I've also released VJEmail and VJSMSSender.
The latter is quite funky and like VJSMS, will prepare an SMS from the command line, but send it off with no interaction, and give you quite a cool notifcation.
Please check it out on my new website,
http://www.vijay555.com
While you're there, check out my RSS News Aggregator. It'll eventually be tailored for our kinda hackery.

Please test out the tools, comment either here or on my forum and tell me how it goes.
Development has slowed down slightly, I've got a few Real World things to finish off, but I'll get there. Many things in development.
Please use the tools, but don't distribute them directly but link to the website, so that I can keep track of releases.

Is this not a standard feature? I've never tried it!
Have a look around and see if there's anything that can already do this. If not, post a comment in the requests bit on my forum and I'll think about how to do it.
V
As topic, wondering if its worth upgrading and are there any problems with it.
Only had my exec a few days lol
Thanks
Stuh, sorry to be an ass - but please have a read around on the various threads.
People are barely containing themselves discussing their own thoughts. Go see what they have to say, and then come back with any specific concerns.
But one way to look at it is - if it's reversible, and safe, then what do you have to lose?
V
Yeh, I know what you mean, each to their own and all that.
I just need to find it now with instructions on installation, as I doubt its a nice fluffy exe installer
I've not installed any of these roms, so can't speak from experience, but I think that each comes with installers, but not necessarily an installation guide.
I strongly advise you to use an app like SPB Backup and take a full backup before commencing.
After that, the guys on the board have discussed installation of every rom, but I don't think there's a fluffy installation guide.

Just wondering if everyone would like to share their setup of their using this app to give ideas and show the capabilities of it's awesomeness, thanks
this is a good idea. Why am i the first to reply? I think it would be awesome to have a place where everyone could share their mtpref files and post pictures showing what they look like. That way people could build upon what others have created. I think it would be a good way to get the creative juices flowing. OP, you should think about creating this thread in the android themeing section. General thread for a specific device? no wonder im the first to reply...

.
The only thing needed were the wallpapers: @KeithSwisher & @Romanbb
If you touch cookie monster's mouth, circle launcher loads 20+ apps.
And the App: Simple Text (get this if you like text icons).
Did not use the app mentioned in the OP... but I prefer this.
Minimalistic Text
I too, think this is an excellent idea and I'm really surprised there hasnt been more responses. Whats up community?
I just purchased a new Xoom 4G upgrade version and I am searching for setups to get some ideas from all you great peeps. If anybody knows of some good sites to check out that would be great...or of course start posting some Minimalistic screens here would be even better.
Hey guys!
Today I'd like to present to you, my first (ever) WPF application!
It's part of Universal Android Toolkit (See my signature), which is still WIP, but I thought I'd present it to you as a stand-a-lone app.
So don't go thinking weirdly if you see it in Universal Android Toolkit, once I've released the newest version (Which is gonna be friggin' sweet).
Anyways, it does what the thread title says. It gets detailed system information from your device.
This information includes, but is not limited to:
Build ID
ROM Name
Build Codename
Build Version
Device Model Number
Device Board
CPU Type
Manufacturer
Dalvik Heap Size
Default Alarm Tone
Default Ringtone
Carrier
GPRS Class
and
Client Base
Of course this isn't everything, but I'd like to keep some stuff until the release of UAT. Ya know, kinda keeping stuff secret (CaptainSparklez' voice)
Now, before loooking at the screenshots, please bear in mind, that this is literally the first WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation) application that I've ever created and released to the public!
So be nice when it comes to the design of things.
I'm a Linux guy, so I kept the close and minimize buttons on the top-left of the screen, where they belong

The source can be found on my GitHub (Although I'll sync it later on, and not at the time of posting this, due to me still needing to add some stuffs, like a title...)
This program is no longer supported by me! Check out Universal Android Toolkit for this kind of thing!
