Spoof App uses a prepaid service, and is just a front end to the service...
Anything on this? I would like to get something like this. I had this guy that owed me a few dollars and I used my friends Iphone to call him with this fake id caller and put his moms number and he picked up..
I need this...
Try http://www.aimproductions.be/titleview.php?title=PhoneyCall
that allows you to essentially call yourself, not present a fake caller ID. Because CID is handled by the network, a software implementation is not likely
Therefore, if I understood it, it is impossible to have something like the spoofapp at windows mobile devices?
Correction, it is on Android, unless it recently got approved finally for the iPhone. I use it all the time on my tilt, but only after booting into android.
But id love to see this on windows mobile. I cant say I use it all the time, but I do love to show it off to my friends and freak them out.

This one charges, monthly or per minute. But does what you ask.
Caller ID Spoofing offers you the ability to change the number that someone sees on their caller ID display when they receive a phone call.
Key Benefits:
* Keep your Caller ID number private
* Record your phone calls so you can listen to them later
* Change your voice - Sound like a male or female
* Great tool for bail bondsmen and private investigators
* Easy to use and easy to setup
* Truly anonymous calling
* Have fun fooling your friends
Caller ID spoofing gives business professionals the ability to manipulate their identity to their choosing and stay anonymous. Caller ID spoofing is also valuable in defeating popular telephone services such as "*57 Call Trace", "*69 Last Call Return", "Anonymous Call Rejection" and "Detailed Billing".
Private Investigators will find Caller ID spoofing valuable for pretext calls. Don't let that skip slip out-of-reach. Fake your caller ID number to help track down his or her location.
As per the developers website's (http://www.spoofapp.com) it works on (i) iPhone; (ii) Blackberries and (iii) Android mobiles.
Why it isn't possible to develop a similar app to windows mobile? Because of CID matters?
I would guess that spoofapp isn't for WinMo because there isn't an official store yet.
I really don't believe this is the reason...
Spoofapp is my favorite really. Plus I already have credits with them.

So, you have to install the application and, after that, buy credits from "Spoof" in order to make the application works? Is it?
And what about windows mobile? Anyone knows why we do not have something like spoof for winmo?"
Cheers.
Maybe we can ask those guys to make software for us like they did for BB, iPhone and Andriod devices?
so.....any updates new software or anything?

Wow.....I guess they and a few others are gonna totally cripple M$ & Windows. Without those developers everyone will be forced to switch to iphones, BB's & Android phones. Boy do I feel like I own a dud...
LoL..... I'm sure no one else could build their spoof software for windows phones and the rest of the kinda smartphones and take some $$ shares from their company.
LOL
Hi guys i know that iphone has a application on their phone called Audio recognition.
The way this works is that if you hear a song you like, you select a particular software in the iphone and what it does is that it records the first 5 seconds of the song and it sends that sample to some database and then reports back to you with the name of the song and who sings it, now i know i have been in a situation where i have heard a song and liked it but cant remember or know the name of it.
Is their away to implement this into a HTC diamond, like has someone tried making this happen?

SEE POST 8 FOR NEW VERSION OF MUSIC ID
hahaha, funny I just came across that when my friend was demonstrating his iPhone... would love to know if there's a similar WM app...
i have installed what u mentioned and it worked thanks mate.
Hopefully someone will make one to work properly on the windows mobile operating system, anyone know where i can get this from as the one mentioned above works but isnt 100% visible on the screen
Also using MusicID, and when I demoed it a year ago to my friends they were astonished. I also find it better than iPhone app. MusicID needs VGA support, which it lacks as of now, so it fits better our Diamond phones.
surely it cant be that hard to create, like if people on here can create custom ROM's then surely someone can have a crack at this? we got any takers?
come on guys, their has to be someone out there that can do this, can anyone help plleeeeeaaase
Finaly i got it!! Fully working on the Diamond!
thank you so so much, i have been waitin for this for so long now. just tested it and works great, u see all the buttons and it is touch screen enabled too
work fine thanks man
but it's a trial version????
sorry but who makes this software? do they have a web site?
is this "fixed" version something hacked to work by you or the company released a new version?
sorry I am confused

You won't be seeing it in the program list. You have to start it using Explorer.
Wow!! This app works great!!
thank you so much.
this is awsome, works like a charm, thanks for that, but i have another idea if anyone can make it possible i would like to have another feature in this application. it would be great if the app can make a tag from the radio and record a sample without checking the ID, later time you can check ID when you are conected to wifi or activesync, this could save some money on data connection. but it is only my sugestion, thanks anyway.

I've got an icon right at the top of my list. It installed and placed it in the usual Programs menu and TF. Shouldn't be any need to make a shortcut?
so WHO makes this program?
is there a site?
just perfect!
Hi guys,
First of all i wanna thank you all for making great apps and themes here.. Got to love it!
I work in finance, and uses my phone to check news, stocks etc. I just love the Bloomberg app for iPhone, and hope there are/will come something simular to this for Diamond/WM6.
Here is a review of the app for iPhone;
http://www.macworld.com/article/134571/2008/07/bloomberg11.html
Does anyone know of such a app, or could this be something to look at?
Sry for my bad english, and thanks..

unfortunately it doesn't work for diamond.
it should support 6.1
or can it be problem with the rom ?
Is there anyone that has actually used this app (bloomberg winmo) successfully
I have also installed it on the HTC (touchpro), but it doesnt work - cannot find any reviews or anything even related to the use of this app anywhere
Something wrong with Bloomberg app
Installs on Diamond successfully, however for some reason it fails to recognise my login/password properly. Am left with front screen only.
Another idea would be to try http://mobile.bloomberg.com if you insist on a Bloomberg interface. Many other providers (Yahoo, Quote.com, Reuters, etc) also provide their own versions of same thing.
A good implementation (based on Yahoo data) is http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=441204

Even if they developed the software bloomberg for winmo, you will not be able to use. you will need to be bloomberg anywhere account user, which will cost u a subscription free of mayb 1k per month? (called and checked with bloomberg) normal login don't work.
On the other hand, Iphone is giving the bloomberg app for free. Honestly speaking, I think Microsoft really have some major catching up to do. The Application for Iphone have far surpassed microsoft. and their application is really neat and cool. yahoo have abandoned all project to develope winmo application, but focus to develope iPhone app.
Even google mobile app is a shortcut to mobile view webpage. OMG, I'm quite disappointed with my winmo in this aspect.
If anyone can use the winmo bloomberg. please let me know how you did it. how did you get pass the login / password page.
Ok, so my city recently passed a huge ban on cell phone use while driving. I know I can have my phone reac any new message to me wehn it is received and I currently have it set up to do so. However, I have heard of other phone coming with a speech to text feature. Is there a wway to get something like this on the TPS where I can speak the reply to a text and be able to send it that way?
I don't know of any specific apps that do this, but I'm sure they're out there considering Bling and Google Maps have this technology.
I dont recomend trying to text while driving & dont like applications where you use voice commands but you should try this one
Code:
http://vitotechnology.com/voice2go.html
(not free but you could try the tial) it lets you control your whole phone by voice and you could add custom commands but im not sure if you could set it up to reply to sms.
ps: by the way nice to see another member from el paso

This would be a very cool feature! I am interested in this also. Can anybody help out with this?
microsoft tell me
i had it on my phone ported from i think a samsung device.
it didnt fit too well with the screen resolution and whatnot, but it worked.
although it doesn't work if you have an accent or if you want to send messages to someone who has a rather unusual name
i went to a At&T store for help with something with a friend, he had and still has a verizon blackberry curve but anyways one of the associates there had a blackberry and showed him a whole buch of apps he got from a certian website (dont remember what it was) and one of them was a talk to text app and it work almost perfectly. ive been searcing for an app like that for windows mobile ever since then and that was almost 2 yrs ago!!!! i also just found out a few days ago from my girlfriend that theres a app like that for her iphone. i seriously dont know what microsoft is doin but they need to step their game up and to all the developers out there, you need to beat them to the punch!!!
Read email to you - what app?
What app are you using to have your HTC read email to you?

Didn't pick up on the SMS part. Looking for an app to read/speak email messages(non-SMS). Especially, would be nice to be able to filter by sender, subject, etc.
Ok, so I found a few cabs for TellMe, but they all crash shortly after launching. Any ideas?

I use TellMeText Version 1.1.0 on my Rhodium Touch Pro 2. It installs and works okay. If the installation crashes, the best thing is to redownload it until it works fine. Also try the app on different ROMS.
I have used it on ARK_N's ROMS as well as on Leo Cell ROMS.
Make sure (I think) you install BlondieSoft_MobileCertificates cab prior to the intallation of the TellMeText cab.
Hopefully this should help.
Why not sooner.
If someone can rip the install from the Samsung Intrepid I think we can get something going.
The only other option is Vlingo and it is buggy at best, you can search the forums and people have had spotty success with it.
This could be a real difference breaker at this point in time in the Mobile Phone wars, I don't know why someone hasn't jumped on it and capitalized, tons of apps already use voice recognition (bing, google) for driving directions, I don't know why in a world where people are dieing left and right from txting while driving someone hasn't jumped on this.

The tell me ap works for some and not for others.. I believe it has something to do with the carrier you are with. That said.. you guys are probably better of going over to the tell me thread and reading through that to figure out how to get it working on your phone. I personally gave up. It would install fine on multiple roms I was running and as soon as I would to go speak a text to it it would just hang then give me some error.
Regardless... no sense in having multiple threads about the same thing!
Do a search in the Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Themes and Apps forum and you'll find it.

TellMe does not work for AT&T customers on their network on anything but BlackBerry. I ran a packet trace and the packets leave the phone but there is NO response.
WiFi works fine but how often are you on WiFi on the go?
You need to install microsoft voice command FIRST then this. Just search, the cabs are posted.

Does anyone know where I could get an ICE app for my hd2. Had a very nice one on my g1 but can't seem to find one for windows mobile. Any suggestions are much appreciated.
ICE for Windows Mobile
I couldn't find ICE (in case of emergency) app to my WM 6.5 too...

ice is 'in case (of) emergency', a number in your contacts that anyone finding you somewhat impaired can hit on your phone and get thru to someone you trust who can help, or laugh, or both. Never heard of an app for it, tho, cant see why you'd need one, just drop a link to the contact on your home.

Same here. I've just prefixed my ICE contact (ICE) then the name and it shows up as the top entry in my contacts list, plus I've put a link on my home screen using CHT so anyone who picks up my phone will immediately see an icon of a face with the text (ICE) underneath it.
or you set a number/instruction as lockscreen background.
but in case of emergency a lot of people will help.
they can try every number, if that guy can't help he maybe can saywho can.
and always first call the alarm number, and if you're safe they can search you're phone list
I am after the same thing tmoreno2425 is after. On the iphone there is an app that overlays the fact that there is an I.C.E. contact in the phone. if the phone is locked and password protected then unlocking the phone will give the user the option to call the I.C.E contact. The first responder also has access to basic information about the phones owner such as name Address and allergies / medical conditions.
For those of you who have not heard of I.C.E there is a very good article on Wikipedia.
en.wikipedia.org/ wiki/ In_case_of_emergency
(Remove the spaces the forum won't let me post the link as I am a newby)
