Hi guys,
I´ve instaled a 3LIT3 VI ROM. When I am using Coreplayer (ver. 1.2.5) - video is not smooth motion. Is not continuous. Every few seconds picture stop for 1-2s. When I am playing the same file via WMplayer, everything is OK.
Have you ever heard about this problem? What is wrong?
BR. Lumpo
Sorry for my english.
Same problem here, when streaming via W-Lan it's very slow, in Rel. V it worked perfectly and fast! But I've not tested a local video file.
yep, 2D and 3D is very slow on this ROM, but that's the way it is
we have more RAM, stable ROM, but slow video playback and games
you can always go back to older version, if you need faster games and video playback
Yes, same here.

Try Coreplayer v1.3.
Mine is ok.The video playing much better and much smoother than previous roms, and equal with the latest roms(not only 3Lite3 roms).
Try changing your video setting in coreplayer to something else, eg GDI or raw framebuffer save and then exit, paly a video, then change back to QTV exit.
I find this helps with coreplayer not just on this ROM and not just the latest Coreplayer dont know why but it does.
Thanks for your tips.
I´ll try to find webpage with new coreplayer 1.3.x.x.
Or if you have a download link with coreplayer,I´ll be happy
But few minutes ago, I tried to delete coreplayer config.cfg file in Aplicationdata\CorePlayer directory. After that, I run Coreplayer and I had to retype licence key.
After that - everything seems to be OK. Video works good...
I´ll try to download new release 1.3. and I´ll test it ASAP.
Thanks for the advice. Much better performance with vers. 1.3.

Sorry, to ask what i think is a dumb question, but I've been trying to sort out TCPMP all day long and am way too tired now to look through more threads!!!
1. Where do I put the three dll that come in the plugin zip?
2. What's this "Overclocked to 247" mean?
At present, I get sound BUT: a black screen, and refusal to play avi files (coverted by PocketDivXEncoder_0.3.60).
Thanks in advance...

1.put The Dll'S in Program Files\Tcmp Folder where Tcmp.exe is
2. Overclocked to 247 mean the cpu is clocked over the default 200mhz speed with omap clock.

Based on the link, it seems the fix is only for 0.72 and not for the 0.81. Do you all have this issue with the 0.81 version?
anyway to get this support opera 9.5?

0.81? woww, the las version that I found is .072 RC1, and it's too old.
is there any new page or any dev team developing it??
rofl.
0.81 is not too old.
you just do NOT know its potential.
and forget about that new recompiled thrash posted there somewhere.
im pretty sure hes saying .72 RC1 was too old...
0.81 and 0.72 are almost SAME programs, all you need is good set of codecs + some knowledge -- how to use it.
of course, there may be some problems on some machines, BUT 2/3 of these problems can be solved with prefs combinations.
do not say there is better program than tcpmp.EVER.
..ok just ignore me now, i am worshipper of tcpmp, and NEVER had ANY problems that i cannot solve...
just 3 cents from me.
just cannot stand if someone is saying that tcpmp is "old" = crappy.
it doesn't matter.
good pack = happiness, NOTHIN more.
I've combined the codecs and tcpmp .81 posted by zcink into one .cab
just install this:
http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=442c5108678df88f1686155677bb2685a43d88cace4d0fcb
and you've got it
however, I have a previous version cooked into my ROM, and every time I open it, it says "Unexpected program failure. Please send 'crash.txt' to the developers. Program will now exit."
Is this because of the previous cooked-in version, or a different problem?

Ok, I need some help.
So far, whatever type of media player I use, my videos tend to lag and freeze. They only seem to run smoothly when I play them at 80% speed. I would love perfect playback!!! So:
1. I have read that I am best to use a convertor first. I've tried PocketDivXEncoder_0.3.60, but it converts them to _avi's meaning that no player can play them! I just get "unknown file format!". What am I doing wrong?
2. Only ATI IMAGEON Decoder and ATI IMAGEON give me playback (any other video setting on tcpmp gives me a black screen). BUT, it freezes and lags unless I set speed to 80%! I have as yet found no way to get 100% visual and audio playback.
I've read up on so many threads on this, but there seems to be so much differing advice out there.
Thanks in advance to anyone who has advice.
Mattster.
UPDATE: Coreplayer plays files created by PocketDivXEncoderworks which don't for some reason play on TCPMP, so I'll stick with that!

Any update to the black screen? I've installed the files, and I get audio fine, but no video.
Windows media plays very slow and choppy for me- is there anyway to fix the speed. I've overclocked the wing but haven't had the chance to increase the page file- as I travel and am not home to active sync. anything else I can do?

Use TCPMP. It plays all videos, and I never have choppy or laggy videos. You may also want to change ROMS. I dont know if they will help with the video problem, but there are other things to be gained. itje's Touch 4.4 is great. And I think Ivans CleanRom would be a good bet also. I think both already for the pagepool set.
Good Luck
Gimpy
gimpy, I downloaded tcpmp however, I cannot get it to play .wmv files. seems I am missing a codec. do I need to install a plug-in?
I am looking into a new rom- but will wait until I am back home (wed).

There is another cab. Im not sure if it helps with .wmv files, but it couldnt hurt. Are you soft reseting after installing the .cabs?
Hi guys!
I have recently tried getting TCPMP to work on TP2. Without any luck.
Firstly there seemed to be a problem with it running on WinMo 6.1. That has however been fixed in a thead somewhere here on xda dev.
I have tried all three of these fixes, and while they managed to get TCPMP open after install (Not get the crash.txt msg), it caused the TP2 to crash when opening a video file (even when trying to run the video that comes with the phone (my documents -> movies)).
Anyone know of any other solutions? because i have been searching but havent found anything to get this working.
Cheers!
same problem to me, I can't even play the video recorded with my TP2. It just hang.
its special TCPMP thats, working here. I have this functional, if you want to post it, just let mi know.
JF
Make it so, please.
Why don't you use Coreplayer for playing movie clips?
I'm having not issues playing most types of movie file... Great player!
Probably because Coreplayer is not freeware.
TCPMP is the predecessor of Coreplayer
its here: http://www.digitwins.com/download/TCPMP-0.72RC1.zip
JF
No luck yet
Thanks for the link, but is this version working on yours? At least I was able to open a video file (mp4) without my TP2 crashing like it did with other recomps I've tried, but the image is all messed up with green lines and **** all over the place...
Sorry, Im not using TCPMP for viewing pics. Didnt noticed that. And Im not gonna use it fot it ;-)

Hi there... i'm having problems to get work on tp2 a player that supports subtitles. Do you know anyone? Thank you very much.
Regards.
Coreplayer dont use in touch pro 2
Coreplayer dont use with processor touch pro 2. In the web of Coreplayer it ist possible reed.
Thank you and sorry for me english
I just use this app now works like a charm.
http://divx-player-mobile.en.softonic.com/pocketpc
It is not possible for me :
- Core player can't start, I don't see the app after pressing the icon
- TCPMP-0.72RC1 open, but the videos are not working, it crashes
Is it a problem of 3D driver or somethong like that?
Well I too am using Coreplayer and it works just fine. v1.3.2 build 6909 for ARM. Plays VGA .avi files perectly...
Had the same problem with TCPMP crashing until I unchecked "DirectDraw" in Video Settings (i.e. use GDI or Raw Frame Buffer).
twana, that is brilliant, I'd given up on TCMP having tried every version I could find.
Did you find out how to fix the blacked-out buttons in the toolbar?
Black buttons are caused by the theme you're using. And yes even HTC standard theme is causing this
Hello!
Thank you Twana, TCPMP works fine for me when I put "GDI" in the video settings!
It is great.

coreplayer/tcpmp
Selecting gdi/rawframe buffer in video settings is a must. Also check tools -> preferences -> file associations if you want them to play aac mp4 etc it must be checked there.
Hello guys. I installed core player and I am trying to watch a video but, I don't know why, the playing is very very slow, with the software displaying many times the icon of "waiting status"... unwatchable!
If I try with in-built windows media player the same file is good and smooth...
the file is in .mp4
I also try divx player, but the GUI is very small and the buttons too small...not good for me.
any ideas?
Thanks a lot to everybody in advance.
More information please - what version of Coreplayer, what settings?
if wmp is playing smooth then why would u need coreplayer! if u wanna watch flash from browser....get skyfire.
sorry for few info, but i was in a hurry.
Core player 1.3.6
I have installed also the driver patch 1.1 by chainfaire (if it is related...)
My rom as in signature.
Go to Menu>Tools>Settings>Select Page>Video and then change the Video output to GDI. That should fix your performance issues.
THANKS
thank you jakem.
Now works perfectly. There are a lot of settings and I don't know exactly what they are. Unfortunateky I haven't found yet a manual on the net
But anyway, great software. I managed also to rotate landscape with BsB the software. Did I do it right or there was a solution inside coreplayer? (because sometimes it gets slow with few framerates)
There is setting for rotation. It's in the main menu .. take some time experimenting.
Actually I found that raw frame buffer video mode is a just few percent faster, but I may just imagine things.
I'm having the same problem. Videos stutter until they are unwatchable.
I opened the same video in WMP and it runs without any lag.
I selected GDI in Core Player and still the same performance continues.
I have the ChainFire driver installed, would that be related?
This happened to me yesterday.
And ironically, the benchmark was ok! only the playback was horrible. Couldn't find out what caused it. I removed Chainfire's patch but that didn't help. Had to hard reset at last.
And by the way, I tried all 3 video output modes, no avail...
Coreplayer 1.3.6
Touch HD (Blackstone)
Rom: Dutty 6.1
I've spent several frustrating weeks now trying to get coreplayer to work properly.
Either the video playback is really choppy with frames frequently dropped or the video is out of sync with the audio.
I've gone through loads of configuration suggestions that I've found online, Before each test I've reset the settings to default by clearing out the config.xml file.
I've gone through the following Roms, in case it could be Rom related
Kwbr_Topix_3.5.10_Sense2.5_WM6.5
TOPIX_Kwbr_Win 6.5_Ver_21877_TouchFLO3D 2.1.38411.0
RUU_Duttys_HD_V3.9 _XT_Turbo_5.2.21051.1.6.4_1.59.709.0_Radio_52.62.25.34_1.14.25.24_V2.1
I've tested the wmv file on the phone memory to confirm it wasnt an issue with the speed of the storage card.
I've contacted coreplayer and submitted a ticket... All I got back from them was an automated response a week later saying my ticket had been closed.
Id also like to try setting up Coreplayer v1.3.5, where can I get a version to install?
Does anyone have any other suggestions as to how I can get coreplayer to work?
Thanks
goto tools-settings-advanced page. tick disable avc deblocking filter. set soft drop tolerance to 1.000 and hard drop tolerance to 1.100
This is the best settings for coreplayer that I know. I have version 1.3.6 coreplayer
