new panels? - XPERIA X1 General

I just checked out SE download section for panels, and noticed 2 new ones ive never noticed before. SPD weather and SPD travler.
Seems like you have to 17$ a piece for them too.
ignore this, if they have always been there

They are old, when you installed those programs you also got the panels. But now they added them to the SE website too.

TOUCH UI

has anyone started work on getting the new HTC touch UI onto othere devices?
Hope so... I also want it...
yes I'm waiting too.
TouchFLO - if we can take this option to our model, that's cool.
and I thought someboy will sone this job vry soon.
Simple example
I've made a simple first version of the HCT Touch UI, based on one or two pictures I saw on the internet.
I made it in Wisbar Advance Desktop, just a fix docking background for the color and lines and then placed 6 few icons on it...
It is a start. Also a Comm Manager has been done in this format.
It can be downloaded elsewhere if you google or you can find it in the WM6-Hermes forum.
Hi!
Here you can see some interesting videos of the gui, quite interesting: http://www.theunwired.net/index.php?itemid=3899
Is there any shipped devices with this functionality on the market yet?
Regards,
PK
there is a software called SPB mobile shell which is almost similar to this

there's lots of software which can do this (like WAD). but the looks we have to make ourselves. problem is there are not that much pictures yet of the HTC Touch...
I'd love to have Touch UI working on my Artemis, and then probably on future HTC devices as well.

How can i get this?

http://www.gsmarena.com/mwg_atom_v-pictures-2554.php <-- the today plugin is HOT...where can i get it?
bump anyone...
I don't think that exisits as a actuall today plugin, looks like a mockup
you could probobly hack something together with PhoneEx (1.2 for the xperia) and a couple of SPB apps
Have you had a look at the many plugin options that are around.
The MWg photo one looks like a copy of HTC HOME. which was very popular around 18 months ago on here.
You can do similar things with ulimatelaunch>> or RLToday.

Which one is better TF3DHDB2 or Manila ?

Hello,
I need help here .. I'm new in this forum.
So I couldn't decide which one is better TF3DHDB2 or Manila ?
There is lot about it here, I read most of it .. and now I'm confused.
should I install TF3DHDB2.cab ? or Touch-IT_Blackstone_Manila_HD_FULL ? to get the most performance and functionality.
and is there a Beta 3 or final version of TF3DHD ?
Thanks
I think, it`s both the same.

No, they are not. Darran did some change and some functions (e.g. AVRCP) could work
So which one ?
dunno, just extracting the German version from an HD build and see how well it worx on my x1
with Manilla i allways had problems with this darn Album. lagging like hell and keep freezing my phone.
Stick with itje's Touch-IT version. I had both versions and Daran's was slow and buggy. (sorry Daran)
I found itje's a bit buggy too (sorry itje ).
Eventually I came to the conclusion that TF3D probably isn't going to run perfectly on an Xperia whatever these guys do with it (geniuses though they may be).
I hope one day they will prove me wrong - and no doubt others will claim that I'm already wrong...
Just to let you know...I was almost giving up using TF3D on the xperia until I found a great fix. It's floating round on these forums, but it consists of disabling TF3D from the Today screen, creating a panel, and then loading TF3D in the panel.
I don't know if this is old news, but I applied the fix and NOT ONE SINGLE CRASH in three weeks...which is fantastic compared to the original Touch-it TF3D crashing twice per day. I'm not sure if it applies to all TF3D versions, but I ran the fix on the latest 3.01 Touch-it ROM.

I agree cos I stopped using TF3D after a while and I no longer want to use that in my Xperia as I rather use softwares like SPB Pocket Plus with Inesoft Software.

hey, my xperia crashes every now and then but only while changing the panels. but not always. is this the same problem as u were facing.
and one more thing, i heard that using TF3D as panels slows down things. is that true in ur case?

Can you give as a link to this fix ?
and does TF3D in 3.01 Touch-it ROM work good with you ?

The Russians are testing SPB Mobile Shell 3.0

This is RC. Screenshots
Actually, the entire world is. It was leaked to the public.
I saw a link of an all black theme for it, now I can't find it.
cool but nomore widgets?
we all are trying it lol. and yes there still is widgets.
probs so far.
- it conficts with touchflo 3d
- no box to deselect in home plugin menu
- finger scrolling working ok but could be a lot better
- no panel included in the cab install like there weather and travel software (i have a x1)
- uses a lot of wm stuff instead of there own software (eg, clock, sms, alarms, calender etc). not really a prob but would have prefered if they used the own software (jaze it up a little.

there is a section in the program/settings menu called themes, black theme is in there but looks the same as having no theme
Installed this morning, loving it, does gradually hog the resources the more you do, but I guess the official version will be sorted, will definitely buy this, if there is only one bit of software you buy for your PPC, this is it..10 out of 10 from me.
Beats TF3D and SPB mobile shell 2 hands down.
to each their own, i installed the 'trial' and have to say that i got very disappointed; i used the v2 for a long time before i got my xperia and i loved it; now that i've seen the v3 it's uglier and less intuitive, i say no to that and stick to my tf3d which in general is also much smoother than this;
yark and blah...

where can i find x1 panels on the SE website? - its all changed to "playnow" :S

Hmmm... good question idd.
In the playnow arena you can find all other downloads, except the panels. Gonna search the website tonight for that.
