Hi,
for the last two weeks I'm having a weird issue with my Sprint Touch (Vogue) phone. Every now and then if I press either the left or right soft key, the built in HTC touchflo contact page(the one with photos of your contacts) slides up. After several delicate presses the softkeys start to work again.
When I can't remedy it, I will just soft reset and it will work fine for a few hours, but then the same problem happens.
Anyone seen this issue before?
Thanks for any responses.

Hi,
I've had my Hermes for about a month now. On about 4 occassions I've pulled the keyboard to use it and input will not be 'received' properly. It seems the Hermes gets stuck in a 'mode'.
Some of the keys work... like at the moment I clicked forward on an email, slid the keyboard out to start typing but the letters did not work. Pressing 'Return' activates the start menu, however.
I started pressing random things to get it work: I pressed the green phone button to get to the dialer, tapped the X for the dialer to get back to the email and now the keyboard is working again. Weird!
Has anyone else experienced anything similar?

If you can rule out software issues then there is a push on multi connector inside that may not be pressed in firmly!

I've had this problem sometimes. If I 'beat the phone' to it, or catch it mid-thought, as it were... Just have to be a bit slower with it. Seems that I slide the keyboard out before it has time to allocate the appropriate amount of CPU time to flipping the screen and initialising the hardware input, so it either takes a few presses for it to register, or it just gets stuck in keyboard-in mode, and I have to soft reset to make it work.
Happened on my old Hermes, not happened yet (touch wood) on my new replacement.
Hi All,
I have a strange problem, tried to search the forum,
without success...
Sometimes the OK button doesn't response (both OK buttons...),
only clicking OK on the screen works.
another issue - sometimes when clicking the action button nothing happens, or even worse - it acts like a long press even when I press it really shortly...
Any one else had such problems?
Is it (as I guess) a hardware problem?
I have the same problem and I dont think its the hardware cause the button is not presented in "buttonmapping" in the controlpanel. This has worked before. Please respond if you solve the problem.
Mine does it on occasion. Pretty sure it's software and It seems to happen with the same apps each time. Make note of what apps you have running when it happens.
Just started doing it again but I realized that I have never had a prob with the OK or Start Menu buttons but rather the softkeys. In Today Agenda, the left key (edit) stopped working and then a few minutes later the right key (menu) stopped working. I closed all apps and the problem persisted with every appointment I opened. Soft reset fixed it.
I should also add that I am not using the latest version of Today Agenda because I have not figured out how to make it look like the version I am used to.
Might be related: a lot of games I have tried don't seem to support the softbuttons, phone buttons, or really much else besides the directional pad and center select button.
Hi,
i bought the X1 several days back and now i have this annoying issue with my touch screen stopping to work at random times. it usually happens right after i had unlocked the keyboard and screen, and only a restart fixes it.
some specs:
- i have put my left hardkey as keyboard lock button
- i have SpB mobile shell installed and working just fine
- i have calendar sync with Outlook
- my Now screen is the default visible screen when the keys are locked
the funny thing is that i unlock the keys through the touch screen (left softkey and then right softkey) and afterwards it is just as good as locked as well. it doesnt occur after any specific action as far as i have observed so far, it just happens every say 20-25 locks/unlocks. neither browisng through menus (using the hard keys) nor sliding the phone in and out, nor locking and unlocking again fixes this.
does someone have a similar problem or any idea for solution to this?
thanks,
Ivaylo
Me too
I have the same problem and i also have SpB mobile shell installed.
I wish to know if other users may have encountered this minor problem ...
It happens from time to time that after pressing the left "telephone" button or soft-key, the numeric telephone keypad DOES NOT appear (i.e. it is impossible to compose new telephone numbers). The middle softkey does not work in these cases. A soft reset has sofar always fixed the problem. I have tried many possible solutions, but this problem always come back, usually 1-2 times a day.
Any help or advice?
Thank you very much

it happens with windows build 6.5.x and it is the problem of htc dialer with windows mobile new builds, as far as i know there isn't any solution for it yet just soft reset ... correct me please if i'm wrong!
i use temporary solution which helps to recover dialer go on home... rotate landscape... rotate portrait and press call button and its there
Or you can just set the Phone App to auto rotate using something like BsBTweaks. That way it the phonepad messes up, you just tilt the phone one way and then back again and hey presto. Keypad back and working again.
I experienced something strange with my Qtek 9100 today. when i turned on my phone, all the keys including the call and the 'hang up'-button where backlighted. the keys did not respond as they should, and pressing the d-pad center would either open the start menu or initialize the screen calibration. if i opened the Notes app and created a new note, the note was filled with single letters like the L, the H or the Y. none of the keys seemed to be working when i pressed them.
i've experienced this once before, and the only thing in common is that i had my phone in a thight pocket for several hours. last thime i solved the problem by hibernate the unit and pressing all the keys, and turn it on again. this time it wasn't that easy, but i managed to get it working again at last.
but why is this happending?
PS: i've tried soft reset and taking out the battery, and that didn't help.
Please help me and my phone
