I have installed this but i see that the in call volume control is not working, when you press volume controls when u r in call the ring or system volume will change, also the in call screen is windows mobile default not htc

Blackspider, if you do the Hard SPL in your viva you can install any rom afterwards. So if you already did, go ahead and install this rom.
What is the difference between this ROM and original Opal ROM?
I am having now 6.5 ROM, I am not happy with that. Frequent crashes.
I want to revert to original ROM, keeping in view that I changed SPL. How can I do that?
Will anybody answer all my questions?

If you want revert to the original ROM, you just have to flash your phone again using a 6.1 original rom (I guess there should be one in the forum). I would recommend you to use this version instead, as it seems faster and that weights less than the original

I already flushed with this ROM. It looks to be promising. But I will see what will happen when I install all my programs.
Win 6.5 didn't work for me. I was having frequent crashes.

VIGOS!! I installed all my programs. Its very cool. Much better than 6.5. Until now no crashes. Big storage like 6.5 but much stable and fast. I would like to advise all to come back to this version.
I have been using it the last weekend and it is fast (although I am not sure if it is faster than 6.5 v11) and stable, but I believe (and it is only an impression) it consumes more battery than the 6.5 rom (v11) could it be? Have any of you noticed something like it?

My own impression is that it is much better than 6.5 version 11. It is faster than 6.5. I didn't notice any battery drain. I had frequent crashes with 6.5, so I reverted back to this version of 6.1.

I have installed 6.5 version 13 few hours back. Until now it is good. I downloaded this as well. In case if 6.5 ver 13 fails to work for me, I will install this version. Version 11 of 6.5 was not good for me.

First do hard spl. Hard spl is found at the top of Opal ROM development page. After hard spl you can flush any ROM.
WM 6.5 ( all the versions ) is quite unstable for me. after trying WM 6.5 ( all the versions ), I'm happy installing this one...

Hello i have a problem with the rom when i extract it my bitdefender says is a trojan and deletes it
i hope is just a false response from my antivirus
i finally got to try this rom and i must say wow. you really can tell the difference in performance from this and the 6.5. the 6.5 is just slow with the in program menus compared to this one.
i reccommend this rom. even tho ive only had it installed one day, the only downside is i miss the new honey comb programs.

This looks to be a false response. I downloaded and installed but my antiviruses (AVG and antimalwarebytes) didn't detect any virus.

Yes you are right. I tried the version 11 of 6.5. It gave me a lot of troubles. Then I tried v 13 of 6.5. The same problem of slow response and crashes but better than 11. Now I reverted to v 14 of 6.1. This is quiet stable. I am happy with this.

I tried the version 6.5 V_15. overall look is good but it seems that still it has a troubles.The same problem of slow response Now again reverted to this V_14 of 6.1. I think This is quiet stable with good speed compare to all last ROM for daily usages

Errrrr... Sorry. I know it's about a month ago already, but i just flashed my opal using your ROM. And I've found one issue which is "ActiveSync Autorun". AS always starts itself on my device,,, and it's just sooooooooo annoying. Other previous ROMs i used didn't have this problem before. So... Are there any solutions for this?

Launcher apps locked
Congrats on a good ROM. I was looking for a faster ROM which retained most of the original apps. I much prefer Opera, so I'll install that.
But could you help me with how to unlock the top buttons you have installed to the launcher. I would prefer those spaces be allocated to the apps that I use most frequently.
As small bug is that after you have added an application button in the launcher the "All Programs" softkey stops working. I haven't consistently figured out how to solve this, I think it is as simple as running an app of some sort and then going back to it, but it is a bit frustrating.
Again, thanks for sharing your work. I wish there were a few more doing work on the Opal side of things. Wish I could learn how to do some cooking myself.

I tried the V15 and I didnt like it very much. Very pretty, looks very nice, but too slow and with so many crashes. Comparing to this one, I think this one it's much much better. No crashes. Slow? don't even think about it. Fast and stable. Congratulations for the cook =D

One problem with V15 that I m facing is battery drains too fast... my morning alarrm never wakes me up :-(

this version is more stable than 15 but sometimes the comm manager's widget don't work properly. Yesterday evening i did'nt have a possibility to save a new contact number, today morning however i do!
The rom is quite slow but not bad!

good and excellent one, but i had problem with the keyboard, when i use the phone keypad, its always writes numbers, even when writing an email or msg. pls note that i had installed the arabization package. Pls advise what i should do! another favoure, if i sent u the arabizarion package, can u include it in the firmware itself like the original viva firmware! i tried to do this through the kitchen, but i could not understand how to do it.

I downloaded this ROM yesterday. this things really its got a nice finish along with good amounts of speed. Job Well Done.
Am reporting two problems though (i dont know wat else to call the second one)
1)While text msging "phone keypad" enters only numbers. doesnt take letters.
2)Tried installing manila. It said that it was unable to find manila config file.
Am not going bak to v13. Once u get a feel of smoothness u wouldn't wanna go back.

I know i'm an annoying newbie, but i tried to update my viva from WM6.1 to this WM6.5 V19 and also tried the V21, but in the two cases, and after 2% progress, it gave me ERROR [270] : UPDATE ERROR
The image file is corrupted. Please check your Update Utility

Hi i am from india and using the touch viva with WM 6.1 unlocked on idea cellular sim. the ROM version on the phone is 1.35.720.2 WWE will using the above rom lock my sim . Please do help so i can upgrade to WM 6.5 , also is there another way to upgrade without losing the sim unlock.

honestly, i have no idea if it will lock ur device, but if u bought ur device already unlocked and u did not unlock it, it would probably not, and please use v21, its the latest, this is the old one. and im not sure if v21 will do the same, go ahead and ask the guys in the v21 thread...

bro actually from the com 2 branch 21891 is the latest (its com2 only na?)
i mean the 6.5.3 versions... i got used to the big bottom buttons and bottom start menu.
he also included Office 2010 beta in this rom which is a complete waste of precious program memory.

Rom Update for HTC t2222
Can anyone advice me how to update HTC t2222? I can't find any Rom Update compatible with HTC t2222. When I tried Opal RUU, my phone got hanged and it didn't respond to other RUU. And is it possible to update it through SD card? Thank you all in advance.

Well, i charge my phone at 100%, then 8 hours later, the battery show 98%, the phone stay in stand bye all the night
I made this test with another 6.5.x ROM's and I found that in this time the battery drain fast and the percentage is between 80-85%
This ROM is stable, all work fine and is NOT battery drain.
Great ROM!!!
I run this ROM with M2D disabled, i use SPB Mobile Shell

So how long were you able to run the phone before charging again ?
the truth is: battery life is the same with all the other cooked WM6.5 roms... it's not good. sorry.

I've understood 6.5 (and written as is on the Rom's table ) because the second picture on post #1

You say "6.5.x" and googling I've just found searching "build 28244", some references to WM 6.5.3

If it is full software compatible with official WM6.5 , what is "added value" ? More stable, any fixes in registry etc... ?

tosiba keyboard is also included. hold the keyboard-icon in Softbar, then select the Toshiba Keyboard.

for all WM 6.5 software. CLEAN is clean- without changes of registry or what ever

on my TG01 with your rom the Toshiba keyboard does not work. ( I have just small keyboard, and when i hold the keyboard icon just one is possible to pick)

Because its a CLEAN ROM meaning how it leaves Microsoft, not after Toshiba release it, so it wont have the keyboard or the stripes interface. If you want to put anything on you'll have to add it using a cab.
Search for the cab for the Toshiba Keyboard on this forum.

Just installed this ROM this morning and so far so good, seems really stable and nice to use, I just don't like the task manager, but that's easily disabled

Bluetooth do not work. Problem with device authentication. I have double checked it
Despite my earlier post, I have now had to remove this ROM as my TG01 kept crashing, although I was not doing anything I didn't previously do with my 6.5 ROM.

Go to bluetoth settings and click Add new device. Once you add device, everything will be fine.

Well I’m using that version a week or so. And added/ removed a lot of programms and everything seems fine and stable with me. I am astonished that It doesn’t work good for you.

Just to clarify - It was only crashing when using some third party software (WAD etc) but I didn't have any of those problems with my 6.5 ROM, so this was just a compatibility issue.
As a standalone ROM I'm sure it's fine.
