Sending files via Bluetooth - Touch 3G General

Hi Guys
I just got my Touch 3G (love it) but still getting to grips as its my first smartphone.
The problem I'm having at the moment is trying to send, for example, a picture via bluetooth. I've done a forum search and understand about using bluetooth explorer or the beam file option from file explorer.
What I'd like a definitive answer on is this: If you're in the 'Photos and Videos' tab of touchflo and viewing a picture, is there an option to send the file from the image menu? Sending items from file explorer etc doesn't allow you to see what they are before sending them, only the file name.
Thanks in advance.

As far i know, you can't send photos or video's form the touchflo image viewer. U have to use the windows file explorer. It was to bad that HTC did not make an option to directly send photo's from the touchflo photo tab.

Try this

the program reso explore or what ever it's called is suppose to support sending files using bluetooth without a sweat
Turn Bluetooth "on" or "discoverable", open file explorer, tap and hold the file u want to send, tap beam file... u're done

file explorer does not allow sending by bluetooth

the file explorer does not have an option of sending a file via bluetooth.
any way of setting things right? probably a new file explorer free downloadable?....
hmm...... anyone?....
pls reply asap
thnx
yes, you're half right. resco explorer does the job. but it's not for free
you can but its not obvious. just tap and hold file and beam file and when it is searching devices it will pick up bluetooth connections. Then just tap to send.
It should say send via bluetooth but just says beam file and i initially assumed it was only infra red.
you don't need rescoe explorer, in fact i think gsfinder is the beezneez and its free.

Bluetooth File Manager / Sender

Hi Guys.
What software do you use to send files via bluetooth?
I believe the default file explorer cannot do this and I have tried GSFinder but couldnt see how to do it in that either.
I know its possible in Resco, but i wanted something a bit more light weight if possible and it is not free.
Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

I send a BT file using the default file explorer. Who told you it can't do the job ? I even had problems sending a file using Resco file explorer, it won't let m send any file, I get error message.
How do you send files via Bluetooth in the normal file explorer? I can see options to Beam file, send via mms and email. when I choose beam its to do with Infra Red.
When I use Resco I had no problems, chose send then by what method.
Thanks for your reply.
You select the beam file option from the menu, then wait, it will first try to send via infrared then will look for bluetooth receivers in the area. I just found this out the other day myself. I also think you need to have receive all beam types checked also (which I think is the default) [Start/Setting/Connections/Beam].
I have problems sending files from a PC to the Wizard... how do you use bluetooth to send it over?
Can we send files from a PC to the wizard using bluetooth? Is there any other way to manage files on the PDA without activesync?

You are quite right! I chose that option and only saw the infra red option, my tip to anyone wanting to do this is activate bluetooth, ensure other bluetooth device is close and the press beam, it will search and find the bluetooth device!

Well I think you could have tried this, it is very obvious.
In file manager, tap & hold the file and select "Send via Bluetooth".
well, you can create a zip archive using any free tool and send them, I'm currently looking for an app that enables sending multiple files, but I only found old ones that support infra red >.>
it's helpful for sending multiple objects that don't appear in the BT send object menu
[edit] Resco File explorer apparently sends multiple files via bluetooth (sending different types of files at the same time as well), but it's a paid app
Use Dropbox
I've found a workaround... I send multiple photos to dropbox then cut/paste them from dropbox to whatever folder I want. That way I don't use up the allotted space with dropbox. Works for me!
