hi everyone!
i just upgraded my diamond to the new rom version 2.03 (german). since then, i can't use my igo8 (version 8.0.0.54000) anymore.
everytime i search a location and click the button in order to set this location as the destination, the app freezes/hangs.
has anyone experienced the same? is there a solution to this problem? i love igo8 and i wanna use it again

No, no problems here with iGo8 (v. 8.3.2) on german 2.03 ROM.

is it an orginal Rom ? and what is your free ram befor you start igo.
i think you running out of memory some way.

you can't read! it wouldn't have worked with his previous rom with an incorrect sys file
I only experienced this when my manila wasn't disabled. since then I allways disable manila before I use iGo. Or maybe you should try an other rom
thanks for your replies. i tried them all (disabling tf3d, even disabling phone functionallity). i don't know if its a memory issue, since there's more free ram since the rom upgrade.
i found out another thing: when the location is found, a map is beeing shown with the mentioned buttons shown below (e.g. set as destination, options, back...). i can pan and zoom the map without any problems, but no matter which button i click (even the back or info button), the app freezes. what a pitty!
still any ideas? thanks to everyone for your help!

I'm using same rom 2.03 and Igo Version 8.0.0.55127 with TTS
and having no problems. Do you have Menu animations enabled? If yes disable them and try again. I Remember that this animations made some crash problems on some igo versions. Maybe this helps

If menu animation is enabled it only crashes when you quit iGo. You should try an other igo version.

i solved the problem by downgrading to rom version 1.93. everything works fine now, but my diamond is slow again.

I have tried a few different 2.03 roms and Tomtom 7.910.9185 will not load. It installs but gets to the map selection setup and stalls. I have also read in a few ROM threads that others are having the same problem. Does anyone know a fix?

Can confirm that both 7.450 and 7.910.9185 is working with ROMS based on 2.03, but map gets corupted during upgrade, so you need to delete map folder and reinstall, then it is working.
Tryed this on 3 phones now.. all showing memory error or not showing any streets om map, but all are ok again.

Yes, I'm running TomTom with no problems using udK's beta 7 rom.
Satellites signals are picked up quick.
with that combo, had no prob whatsoever.
have you tried a cold start with htc gps tool ?
don't have any problems with tt 7.9, but i had some gps lags a few days ago, but they are gone now. i am using rom aztor 10.

f. nothing, indeed. had read the title only and thought the prob was in the fix.
oh well, as said, no prob for me using tt7.9 with stock 2.03 rom as well as several cooked 2.03 ones.
also, lucky enough maps were not affected at all by flashing four different 2.03-roms.
TT v7.450 works fine on CT6.3HDLite.

I do not see a difference, but I've read somewhere, that you can use the Navcore 8 maps with 7.9.
Well I did some testing. This is just using Dutty's roms.
Tomtom 7.9 will not work with the 2.03 rom. It installs, I go through the setup up until it asks you to pick a map. Then it hangs and shuts down. I start it back up and I can select the map but nothing shows up. I can not pick a home address just the street name.
So, I installed Dutty's 3.6b & Tomtom 7.9 works fine. Note: maps are on my internal storage and I have not made any changes to the map.
Then I went back to Dutty's 2.03 rom. Installed 7.9 again with the same problems. So, I uninstalled 7.9 and went to 7.4 and everything is working fine.
7.4 & 7.9 use different maps versions and both are in internal storage. A hard reset was done each time also for a just in case measure. I cann't figure it out???
Well, I am using Dutty's 2.03 rom and Tomtom 7.4. Screw the new maps for 7.9.
I'm using 7.9 on stock 2.03 with 815 maps no issue.
Its not installed in anyway, I just run the application in the FileManager. All the files are on the 4GB internal storage. When I upgraded I just copied everything off (for safety) and post upgrade copied back. I was 1/2 expecting problems, but it just loaded and worked.

I can confirm this. I'm using 7.9 with a map I've been using with 7.4 on a 2.03 aztor rom. I've installed TT trough cab.
I have the same problem with tomtom 7.9 and 7.451 on original ITA rom 2.03.
I have no problem on rom 1.93. Map has not been corrupted by upgrade because it works downgrading to rom 1.93.
I solved reloading a clean map, without pois ov2, bmps, preferences etc...

You should be able to find the actual TomTom 7 cab somewhere here on the forums but you won't be able to find any maps for free as that's illegal so you will have to buy them.
I'm working also with the HTC 2.03 ROM version (Dutch One).
I use TomTom 7.910.9185 with the map Western and Central Europa 2GB 815.2034 TomTom is running okay, no problems.
The first time you start up your tomtom you have gps fix after 3-5 minutes.
Update quickgps for faster fix !!!
Next time your fix is faster (30 sec).
Also running the new McGuider v7.7 2009 and works also fine.

Well, I decided to try Vic's New 2.03 and Tomtom works fine. Switched to the other 2.03 roms mentioned in my posts before and Tomtom did not work. I guess it is maybe hardware and rom dependent???

I installed Opera 9.5 Build 2745 Cab from a Touch HD on my Xperia.
Because there is a bug with the keyboard, you can only type one letter in a textbox and after that it will deselect that box, I want to get rid of it.
My problem is I can't remove this version via System -> Remove programs.
It's just not listet there. I already tried do install/uninstall an official beta of Opera.
This only helped me as far as an Opera was listet but it only removed the official beta.
Anyone a suggestions what I could do?

why dont you run the stock Opera from the Windows folder? that in theory will install the default X1 version and replace the one from Touch HD.

Just go to your windows directory in the root of your phone memory there you will find a .cab of the stock opera

- Some people here have had the same problem. I think they all did a hard-reset (everything will be gone afterwards).
-> If you do a hard-reset, you can update your ROM while your at it. The new official ROMs have a better Opera version built in (9.5 build 2532, but way better than the original one, scrolling works with the optical joystick now, faster, better landscape support etc...)
My problem is that in my custom rom (Touch-It Experience v.3.01) I have Opera 9.5 Build 2532, but I cannot change with AEKmap to the GREEK layout. Is not working. I can write only English...
Perhaps, should I take the: Opera.exe and OperaL.exe from the cab of Build 2520 (which is working with AEKmap - Greek well, but there is no scrolling which I DO want!) and overite the ones of the 2532?
Or vice versa?

Reinstalling doesn't work
When I try to do this, it say's something like "opera software asa opera 9.5 cannot be removed"
Did you just try to install on top of the current version, without uninstalling it?
I think this version is in some custom ROMs. The bug was definately the same and installing the version I linked to on top of the previous version always did the trick for me. But perhaps it depends on the ROM
Maybe it's because Opera mobile is my standard browser?
Could this be the reason why I can't re/uninstall it?
Another option is to try SKT Tools. You can kill opera.exe and I found several posts here and on PPCGeeks stating that it worked.
I tried it with the stock opera on my Sprint TP, and it worked (I do not even remember what the original version was). First time I got the same message (cannot delete...). But once I stopped the opera.exe from running, it worked just fine.

yup a LITE version... meaning a bigger PROGRAM memory (which is MORE important) instead of STORAGE memory... so please don't include apps that can be installed on the microSD card... remove Office, Opera, Voice Commander, Google Maps, Manila 2D and other 3rd-party software, icons and themes (all of these can be downloaded from XDA) ....
just make it simple please.

yup as i have cooked its lighting fast (Faster than wm 6.1) but i cant share coz it has no bluetooth working i mean to solve that wifi bug i had to remove bluetooth.

Agree, especially please don't install any Opera in your ROM. If you do that I can't install a newer version of Opera for QVGA.

GPS does not work! As in the firmware without Manilla.
Installed GpsModDriver. In EXTERNALGPS update data. Run IGO. He sees the GPS module and satellites. Specifies the location in less than a minute. And as soon locates the GPS module hangs. The same thing happens with the Garmin. Once the module is hung, restart the software does not work - shows that the GPS module is connected, but no satellite can not see! Only helps the Soft Reset. The problem is hovering GPS module after determining the location!
PS The firmware series 23 .... no such problems. GPS works well.

Downloaded file without extension is RAR archives. Rename the downloaded file to RAR and extract the firmware from the archive.

Radio 1600.05 has disconnection problems, i never use it, i always change to a better radio. Unfortunately for experimenting reasons i mixed this rom with radio 5001.0300.76 only to find out that it also has disconnection issues. Call quality is quite good though.
By the way, WoW, this new sense is blazingly fast! faster than both previous versions i've tried. As for ram, you could leave out the manilla phoneskin, that could give you about 6-10mb more, but then again it is too beautifull and practical to leave it out and it wouldn't really be sense without it

I try and change some builds for my personal use, but it is just a hobby. I have used the kitchen files of ffboy2009 and l3v5y. Also, I have used packages from other ROMS - November5, arag0n85 and others.

I found a bug- when landscape mode is enabled, the animated screen freezes during the start up and the only solution is hard reset.
I will try to fix it and if I don't manage to do it I will remove the animation.

Fast and simple! It's my first unofficial rom i chose it because it's "clean". I use it with Resco Contact Manager for now everything working ok exept the GPS receiver wich drops out from time to time. It works ok for like 3 hours then IGO says "no GPS receiver found". A restart of the navi program solves the problem but if i don't move quickly enough the whole system freezes and i have to do a full reset. It can be verry anoying when the major junctions are at 3 hours distance . The problem seems to be time and not map complexity related. Thanks again for the ROM it's a charm..

Perhaps you have the problem with the A-GPS. There are some threads explaining how to switch off it and they say that without A-GPS aid , GPS works OK... Search a bit around....
Another more serious stuff: when I try to create a new SMS (Start\Text\Menu\New\SMS) nothing hapens.. altough i can receive SMS..

This ROM through the Converter, T-01A are used in the notice mentioned several points.

Of course you are allowed to modify it. I just want to warn you that there is a bug with text sending and I still haven't found a solution for it.
I have installed vito's sms chat and changed the registry settings for the default texting application it works.. I've never made new ROMs but perhaps if you would copy the Microsoft's tmail.exe from another ROM instead of Arcsoft Powermobia tmail.exe..
