Simple OS. nice idea :)

Hi all... Here's a free program which is a Today replacement, it's still in early beta, but it seems promising. I don't know if it has been posted in this forum, so i'm sorry about it if so.
I've tested it on my Trinity, it runs quite fast. it's still too early to be used regularly, but it's a nice concept.

extract it , copy bin folder to your PPC and install it from there click on Simple Os ,and then open the simple Os again.

Is it a total replacement or does it run on top of the normal ui so you can toggle between the normal today screen and this app?

Nice idea, doesnt work very well, heavy on processor & lots of features not supported yet, like sound mute on/off & wifi

I already said it's early beta, many things still don't work, but it's still a nice concept

new ListItem

Hey,
Ive written a Listcontrol with Scroll support. It supports scrolling, activating
and dragging ( wait short when touch the Display, then you can drag ).
This Zip contains two files, grid view and list view.
It would be nice if you can test it, and give me a feedback. For testing it is also a little ApplicationLauncher, which should work for english ROMs.
It requires .net compact 2.0

The control itself seems to work fine on my T-Mobile Wing, although the font in the grid is way too small and the grid's scrolling seems smoother than the list's. The list is kind of slow.
Also when clicking on the task (outlook) application in the start menu (both list and grid), it crashes:
at System.Diagnostics.Process.StartWithShellExecuteEx(ProcessStartInfor startInfo). It's part of my recent programs list, so I don't know if that could be the reason?
Do you plan to release the control?

Working ok on my prophet grid icons and text to small list just plain white grid runs better and managed to start screen shot

thanks for your answers, its nice to show you're interested.
I have just changed the ListView, so it scroll like the Grid one, and shows Icons.
With the icons and App Launch Exception I have to look, what could be done, but I will find a reason ;-)

The links are hardcoded and only allowed the first 6 icons to work (the others are duplicates only).
It works very well on the PC, sadly the cpu and video driver of the current devices (hint -> HTC ) arent nearly as good.
I got most of the code from here: http://www.gamemeal.com/bimg/20070303.html
...and just resized, optimized for QVGA and added the "click on the icons" routine.
I'm posting the source-code because I see that I wont be able to do much more, and anyone else may want to play around with it.
I exported it on Flash lite 3.1 to speed it up a little bit, but not enough I'm afraid.
The cab needs to be installed from the PPC (for some reason I cant seem to be able to use it on winCEsetup or WinCEcabManager).

I would prefer M$ HoneyComb

I prefer QUICKMENU , it was just a way to bring the wm6.5 star menu to those that dont have it...

[THEME] Manila2 Green & Orange for Diamond

I have cobbled together bits from other peoples work to make this theme. The stocks icons could do with tidying up as I am no artist but they are OK for me.
It is based on XBmod HD MANILA 1.8.5 with the weather tab wiper fixed, red focus and CFC compressed.

Thanks to everyone, for their hard work, who made this theme possible. It works fine on my Diamond with Nataly 2.6.0 rom, including the stocks and weather tabs but may have issues with other roms. I only use the tabs shown in the screen shots so the other tabs may have bugs. Please post details of any bugs you find and show which rom you are using. I don't intend supporting this so your feedback will help others to see if it is OK for them.

Offset adjusted so icons are shifted slightly to the left
Icons no longer change when highlighted.

I have a cab that will replace mult icon on tf3d 2.1 if you would like. I worked at it, and removed the custom slider.
