Is there a way to edit the layout of Touch Keyboard and/or the Touch Keypad?
I'd like to add some letters, if the extra letters don't show up on the associated button, that won't bother me.
Did you get any answers for this? I would also like to change the layout. Is there a sym.txt to edit?
Not much activity....
Did any1 rip an install cab for the touch pad/keyboard?

Any one no how to get the touch/touch cruise keyboard like the iphone keyboard? is there a setting for that? I would love to type using my thump... with the iphone keyboard layout.
I'm installing PocketCM Keyboard again, that works. HTC keyboard just sucks.
Just curious. . . is there a .cab file for a larger on screen keyboard?
or maybe just a more touch friendly keyboard
at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=342351 there is a cab (HTC Keyboard + Keypad.CAB )for Keyboard/Keypad from Touch Dual. IMHO this is the best/easiest way to enter text w/o having to constantly flip your hone to take out the hardware qwerty. Give it a try
Thanks
It works great! thanks
Hi All,
I am sure I am not the only one to find that the keyboard SIP on the X1 is too small.
Can anyone recommend a larger keyboard to work in verticle mode ? I am hopping to be able to use my fingers to do the typing instead of pulling the stylus out everytime. Something like the size of the Iphone keyboard or the Samsung Omnia keyboard would be perfect. I also like the short "vibrate" feedback feel when you type. Anyone feeling the same ?

Additionally to the probably not quite legal copy of the HD's keyboard, there'd be also solutions like PCM keyboard (VGA skin required!), TouchPal, SPB Keyboard, and so on...

If you try PCM Keyboard then you must not choose VGA but WVGA skin
FingerKeyboard2. It's amazing and should probably be on every touchscreen phone in the world.

The letters on the diamond keyboard i installed used to be in bold, now they look thin and ugly after a soft reset for some reason, how to change it back?

I agree. Better than the new SE keyboard if you don't use XT9.
I second that. FingerKeyboard is the best by far. Lots of different layout are already available, but it takes you a few minutes to customize it the way you like it.

Thirded, ignore all other suggestions, they really don't come close to Fingerkeyboard 2
I am looking for keyboard with normal phone keypad instead of the QWERTY or Full QWERTY keyboard?
Any besides the Touch HD Keyboard and original X1 ROM R3A keyboard?
Any reason this 5-month old thread got ressurrected?
What is the best keyboard for the HTC Diamond? I know about TouchPal, Fitaly and TenGo. Anyone tried any of those?
Jon
Here is my preference:
1. Phone Keypard /w T9 (Personally, the phone keypad is soo freaking fast to use if you can figure it out and if you're coming from a regular phone it should be easier. I'm getting used to it and have noticed that indeed, it is a lot faster with T9 if you remember where the letters are.)
2. Compact QWERTY! /w T9 (Same as qwerty but faster, the only time I have to double click is when entering in passwords. I like this because it's exactly the same as qwerty when you have T9 on and it just makes the buttons bigger, so easier to access)
3. Full QWERTY w/o T9
4. TouchPal v3.5 /w T9 (TouchPal is awesome for letting you access the symbols and numbers easily. I love how you can click and drag up for a capital or drag down for the symbol and make a U turn shape for the bottom symbol. It's nifty and useful, just don't like the small numbers on v3.5 >.>)
5. Resco Keyboard /w Diamond and iPhone skin w/o T9
6. PocketCM Keyboard /w Diamond and iPhone skin w/o T9
where can i get the resco keyboard from??
FingerKeyboard is the best, just use once, you would understand.
I'm using Swype on my Diamond am and loving it. When I reflash I don't even reinstall other keyboards anymore. I just install Swype and go.
Swype is really good enough, however, if you need a multilangual keyboard (Like Hungarian or something) you don't have it. Fingerkeyboard is the second, it is really good, but sometimes i miss keys on it (especially with tap'n'hold keys). What I use now is SPB keyboard. It has a full screen keyboard option, which is almost like if you had a slide out keyboard.
hi,
can someone post here the link to download the original keyboard (QVGA) for htc Jade?
I've installed a new keyboard whithout know that Iwould have lost "pad keyboard"..
now with this keyboard I can use just "keyboard" QWERTY..
Fabio
Can't you just uninstall the new keyboard to get the old one back?
